Congrats, while I see a number of "housecats" - most of these people, at least the ones I know, I believe have earned the promotion.

Good luck on the midnights to all of them.

This is Lemmer's kid - however, he was in R & D for a number of years as Barb McDonald's protogee. He's very bright and very good at what he does. Was unceremoniously dumped about 6-8 months ago.

When half the department is in patrol & over 65% of the LTs, 1 in 4 new captains are?
The brass may say District Law is the backbone of the department but they sing the praises of TRU, narcotics, PSN Teams etc. at press conferences & in last years video about crime reduction due to these new ideas. Until they respect District Law (and keep their kids there for more then a few months) we are the Department's illegitimate red-headed step-child.

AMEN!!! Working in any District, at any rank, is a dead end for your career, unless you get out quick. The longer you are in District Law Enforcement the longer you will stay . . . at the same rank.

Captains, be careful of what you wish for, you may get it.

I wouldn't want to be a Captain and have to go to all those kiss-a~~ meetings and pretend I agree to all that CAPS crap.

God luck to all any way. Be good to the people you work with, they will make or break you.
