Holy Horseshoes Batman!

We guess when you have a horseshoe up your butt, you take what you can get however you can get it. Should the Sox win this series, this is going to be one of the most controversial umpiring decisions ever made. Wow!

Hard to call. Can't really tell if it hit the ground, or if Josh Paul trapped it against the dirt. Good heads up play by AJ to run to first though. Can Time McCarver be any more biased against the White Sox though?

from the umps viewpoint, the guys glove was facing down as if to catch a ball coming off of the dirt. I'll grant that while it wasn't entirely clear from the front side, it appeared likely that he caught it without it ever hitting the dirt.

But talk about some biased broadcasting. How was the White Sox guy out diving back to second in the 8th inning? The broadcasters characterized it entirely as "he shouldn't have been caught doing that", when every angle seemed to show that his arm was on the bag before the glove came without 2 feet of him.

It's a close call. In slow motion going forward, it look like a clean cath. When you see it in reverse, it appears that the ball hit the ground and bounced up into the glove.

Either way, this is post season baseball and the catcher should have tagged AJ if there was even the slightest doubt. Angels blew it. Sox win.

Plus, Sox would have won if the game went into extra innings anyhow. Go Sox!!

The ball did strike the ground and skip into the cathers mitt, good heads up by A.J. running to first base. The big mistake by the Angels was to take Benji Molina out of the game. If you look at all the replays off when Molina was in the game ahnd alot of the Sox hitters struck out,Molina would tag the batter regardless of the Umpire. Even A.J. on strike three would tag out the batter, look at the replays. So You can only blame the Angels catcher for not playing it safe and applying the tag. Shame on him,Soxs Win!!!!!!!

I'm not a Sox fan however the Angels catcher lost this one for them.Having spent nine years watching my son play Little League even I know to tag the batter after the last strike

just look at every previous strike out on both sides, every time a batter was struck out on low or questionable stike three the catcher applied a tag to the batter. The cather for the Angels lost that game. Game Over!

In as much as 80% of Sox fans are suburbanites, we should sell the team to some suburb, then let them put up with asshole Sox fans. GO ANGELS!

Then we'd have to sell the cubs to Ann Arbor, MI.

Nothing and that was my point. I'd drive to Naperville to see the Sox if the Big 10 crowd had to move to Ann Arbor.

That ump was giving all the close plays to the Angels all night we get 1 call and the Cub fans can't stand it. Get a life most cub fans are tourists who just want to spend 1 afternoon in the worlds largest beer garden and hope they get on T.V. so all their friends can see them talking on their cell phone. Cubs are great just like the Sox but cub fans suck.

That play was simply a giant "EX"-FACTOR Play... an EX-SOX player (Angels catcher Josh Paul) made an EXteremely stupid play by empty-headedly trotting away toward the dugout and flipping the ball to no one. The ump was open-minded enough to let the play develop by watching Pierzynski's reactions (maybe only another catcher would tend to be THAT sharp/motivated to continue on a play involving a third strike in the dirt.) Replays clearly show the ball skipping (however briefly) off the dirt- proving the ump correct. The umps didn't give pinch runner Osuna second base or allow Crede to smack that ball off the fence... this sounds like CRYBABY CUBBY FANS to me- (sure it's fun to razz the Soxaholix- but this looks to be their salvation!) And maybe Deion Sanders was right to "dis" McCarver by dumping champagne all over him way back in the day- he's such a little whiny holier than thou overly judgemental bitch who genuflects in the presence of the the "superior" or proven team like so many of the national level sportscasters... as Lee Elia sorta said... "I wish we'd get hotter than shit just ta stuff it up these 3 so-called sportscasters!"

Is your life that empty that it burns you the sox won a game? How do you get the sox cheated? It was a judgement call and heads up play by A.J. When the cubs blew it in 03 I just chuckled to myself, life goes on. The players are making millions, you think they care as much as you? Get a life.

Last week most of the Cub fans I know were of the mindset that they would cheer on a Chicago team. Since Sunday that whole idea has gone out the window along with their minds. WTF happened since Sunday? Oh wait that's right, Cubs fans were reminded that a good playing team gets you to the playoffs. Not marketing, cute fans or Sammy Sosa. The realization set in that their money and hearts have been taken by whore-like owners.

I certainly do hope that the Trib finally spends some of your hard earned money and gets itself a team. I heard they can trade in their team for the Washington Nationals. Send your guys there, get the Nationals here, and then you'd have a decent team to build off of. In the meantime keep your moronic idiotic comments to yourself. You're starting to show how the "open minded northsider" is just as stupid and biased as the southsiders you rail against.
Go Sox in 6
