What Did You Say?

Chicago is Going to Host the World Series.

Man, that sounds weird. Let's try it again:

Chicago is Going to Host the World Series.

Like we said - weird. Well, maybe the Cubs fans can let go of their inarticulate rage for a little bit and support the local team? No? Well, we tried to bring peace to the city (we are SO like Ghandi, but without the starvation and non-violence thing). Look at it this way though - Last year, the BoSox broke a 90+ year curse (was it 90 years?) This year, maybe the Sox can break a 90+ year curse (it is 90, right?) That means next year is the Cubs year.

For our Dads…Grandpas…Uncles…
They have passed on to wherever we go when we die…these are the men that taught us to throw, catch, and swing a bat. They played catch with their sons and daughters and taught us to root for the home team. They came out to the games and cheered…even when we made errors. For whatever I am feeling tonight…I wish…just one more time…I could sit with them and share those feelings. Tomorrow I’m gonna go to the cemetery and tell my Dad the Sox won.

You got that right. The Sox fans aren't acting like all the Big Ten Alums living in Chewing-Gum-Ville. Maybe the residents of Mt. Greenwood and Beverly should act like they live on a college campus. Typical scrubs fan. What suburb did you grow up in?

Not a sox fan or a cubs fan, but it sure is pretty obvious that not too many people in this city give a shit that the sox won tonight. Very quiet night. Oh well, I hope the winning National league team draws some hunnies to the southside, preferably with teeth!

parting comment: bring your dog to the ballpark. (the dog does count in respect to attendance) half price night (even though your team is in a pennant race you can't sell out your ballpark in a city of 3 million).

I was working the Sox detail tonight on 35th Street and I would just like to send out a special "Fuck You" to Jack Killackey and the other brass responsible for organizing the response to the Sox fans who came out to celebrate.
It's not very often that a sports team in this city gets to go to a championship series, and when it happened tonight the fans got treated like world-class assholes.

There were no bottles thrown, no cars flipped over and no fights yet Little Napoleon Dynomite used his bullshit authority to screw up traffic up and down 35th Street by not allowing ANY cars to drive past the pallpark (including shutting down the ramps on the Ryan), and by forcing the owner of the Grandstand to close his store--the only place the fans could get their hands on A.L. Champion memorabilia the night of the win.

People were coming all the way from the suburbs and people were walking from their homes in the neighborhood with their kids just to share the magic of a night that rarely happens, and they were turned away, treated like crap.

Both Sox fans and Cub fans have waited a long time to experience a night like tonight.

One of the other posts stated, "For Our Dads... Grandpas... Uncles..." That feeling you had tonight, what if it was you as a kid again and you were denied that magic time with your Pop driving past the ballpark or picking up that new championship shirt?

The worst part about this is that this would NEVER happen up in Wrigleyville. When the Cubs won the division a couple of years back, the northsiders had the run of the streets and I guarantee you that there were fights and people acting like real idiots, yet they were never treated like this.

Most of the Sox fans were just walking or driving around, beeping their horns wanting to pay homage to the team that they are proud of. They wanted to buy some t-shirts and drive past the park that holds the memory of some great victories this season.

Could you imagine what would have happened if the Cub fans would have been denied just driving past Wrigley or the memorabilia stores were forced to close?

To top it off, after everything was shut down and since everyone had left without incident, Killackey needed to justify his being there by pimping a couple of fans for DoPW down by the 009th disrict station. What a hard working cop's cop.

What a turd.

Ladies and gentlemen, be proud of our leaders. No wonder the Sox never fill their seats and people hate us.

Just my two-bits.

CHICAGO -- Police shot and killed a man Sunday after he allegedly fatally stabbed his 65-year-old wife and struggled with an officer in a North Side apartment.

A Rogers Park District sergeant shot the man at around 1:40 p.m. after officers were unable to disarm him inside an apartment building at 1104 W. Pratt Blvd., police News Affairs Deputy Director Pat Camden said.

Officers had earlier found the woman stabbed in the chest lying outside in the courtyard, he said.

The woman was identified as Bonnie Jones, of 1102 W. Pratt Blvd., a Cook County medical examiner's office spokesman said. She was pronounced dead at 6:36 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, the spokesman said.

Howard Jones, 66, also of the Pratt Boulevard address, was pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m. at the hospital, the representative said.

A man believed to have been the son of the couple was also found at the scene with a stab wound to the chest, Camden said.

The 32-year-old man was in serious, but "stable" condition as of 8:50 p.m., according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.

Inside a first-floor apartment, police confronted the man holding a butcher knife who told officers to "go ahead and shoot me," Camden said.

One officer began struggling with the man, but was unable to disarm him, Camden said. A Rogers Park District sergeant then fired one shot at the man's chest at "very close range," he said.

So my sister calls me about ten minutes ago and says to go to this website called "craigslist". There is a post on there about a police shooting. I go on there and sure as shit some idiot posted a link to this sight with the narrative from "altar boy photos next?" thread. I read about a dozen postings on this craiglist rants/raves blog and there is all kinds of crazy liberal shit on there. What idiot posted a link to this sight? You could give a copper a side job getting paid to screw Jessica Alba and he'd find a way to fuck it up.

Go to this sight

http://chicago.craigslist.org

Click on a link called "rants and raves". Its at the bottom of the second column from the left. Look for a post called "Hilarious". Click on that and look for a button in the upper right hand corner that says "prohibited". If enough people click that it will take the post with our link down. Whoever put that up is a fucking jagoff. The last thing we need is a bunch of liberals beefing about this thing. Some people are so fucking stupid.

Killacky is a pud, he was a lt. from asset forfieture. Had a whole three people to supervise. Then he becomes the commander of 009. His idea of police work was to put a stationary car at a perceived problem. Like the car at armour park when the obnoxious sportscaster got smacked around by the obnoxious kids from that area.

At one point we had anywhere from four to five cars sitting on a house or a park throughout the district. Four or five cars not responding to calls. lot more for other cars to deal with.

He is a grade "A" pud. Of course he was promoted. Now he is showing everyone how much of a stooge that he is be screwing with law abiding citizens.

It was bleak cold windy night. The wind blew in from the east. A dead clam had gripped the neighborhood, the silence was deafening. The mood was that of a wake, a certain emptiness that gnawed at your gut. Everyone on the street was weary, their eyes were blurry. The worse feeling that everyone shared was knowing that on the other side of town, Sox fans were experiencing what the Cub fans have been yearning for, for a long long long long long time. How much longer must we endure the curse or whatever you call it. I have an idea, I think the ubs should swap their players for the Sox players then we would have a Championship team on the Northside. Oh well one can dream. GO SOX!!!

Tough guy E. PAKULA:
There is no excuse for being a total jagoff. You had every intention of writing that ASA for DUI and proof of it is in the way you wrote the narrative in the arrest report. You are probably too big of a pussy to mess with some dope dealer or some gang banger so you choose to write ASAs and other working citizens that are non confrontational or you are just too plain stupid to know how to write paper.
Just remember retard what goes around comes around and do not be standing there with that stupid look on your face looking for help when your time comes.

All you “real police” out there criticizing P/O Pakula would be yelling for blood if that ASA had seriously hurt or killed one of your family members while driving drunk so why don’t all of you shut up and go back to making your dime bag arrest because your too stupid and/or lazy to do DUI’s. At least he is actually doing some good by taking the drunks off the streets. Can you say the same about you're dime bag arrests – I don’t think so! Oh, but wait, you’re the “real police”, ya, right! Fact is you don’t have the guts to lock up a lawyer or any other “good citizen” because you are afraid of the fallout. You would rather stick to gang bangers and rock heads because you, the “big bad real police” can get away with pushing them around without any real fear of any type of reprisal. It sounds like P/O Pakula has more guts then all you crybabies put together!

Also, if you actually need a detective or ASA to bail you out of some shit that you stepped in then you are one dumb M….F….! I have been on this job a long time and I can tell you that when the shit hits the fan you will probably get a DET. that will help you but the ASA’s will not be your friends. On the contrary, for them to put a cop away is a feather in their cap, especially if they have political ambitions! I have seen cases where officers were IOD after fighting with some mutt and the ASA’s refused to continue the cases when asked to do so by the officer’s partners, but instead SOL’d the case because the officers were laid up from the IOD and couldn’t be in court. This for a police fighter! How many times have any of you tried to get felony charges approved only to be denied because the ASA didn’t think the case was winnable? That’s what I thought! How many times have any of you sat in the ASA’s office or the jury room all day waiting to hear from the ASA when you will be needed only to be told “oh that case was continued at 1030hrs” and its already 1800 hrs and you missed your kid’s special event? Remember, when all is said and done ASA’s are still lawyers…need I say more!

If you would refuse to help a fellow officer over something that you know nothing about other then what you hear in conversation then maybe you should reevaluate your priorities and get another job. The fire department is giving a test in March, but you won’t do that because you would have to give up the badge and gun, the only things that make you feel like a man (or woman) and be a nobody again in your own eyes! Most, if not all, of you big bad tough “real police” who are crying, and wineing either have no time on the job or have spent your whole careers in units and have no idea what it is like to work patrol. When you get some time on the job or actually start using your GOD given intelligence before making comments then come back and post something otherwise keep your mouths shut! “It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool then to open your mouth and be proven a fool”!

10/20/2005 09:18:00 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Well then, I guess you should keep your mouth shut, FOOL!

If you're supporting what Pakula did, you're either sucking his d**k, or just as much of an asshole as he is.

If I came across an intoxicated ASA or cop, I would have found a way to minimize the damage. Make the traffic crash report, put the drunk in the back of the squad for "show", and then drive them home. I would have even driven you home, you jerk.

ASAs DO NOT get a feather in their cap for prosecuting officers... you're confusing them with the FEDS.

"Hurt feelings of a P.O." is not considered probable cause to charge someone with a felony Agg. Batt. to P.O. Believe me, when a cop is hurt, I have witnessed the detectives and ASAs go all out to nail the guy.

But when a cop claims all types of invisible injuries, and then won't even go to the hospital for treatment, how can you prove Agg. Battery?

Put yourself in their shoes for a minute...
They are trying to prosecute cases with misspelled reports, and cops who can't even get on the same page with their "story".

Try this next time...when you actually get "battered", go to the frickin hospital, and then collaborate with your fellow officer witnesses to make sure you all have the same story. THEN call the detectives.

If a case is not "winnable", then it's because someone is lying, the reports are all fucked up, or there is just not enough evidence to prove a crime occurred.

The REAL POLICE, whether you're the DUI or "dime bag" police, will always support their own...you FOOL!
