Calling All SME's

If any readers happen to be SME's, could you let us know if they've started having meetings yet, for ANY upcoming events? We'd appreciate the heads up. We heard there were preliminary meetings recently, but have they actually held any conferences?

UPDATE 0910 hours: SME's are Subject Matter Experts. We are hearing rumblings of a new Lieutenants Test sometime before next fall. SME's typically meet within a year or so of a new test with the contracted company to compile lists of "duties and abilities" that will be a big part of the test. We're just trolling for information.

Sgt. test is up for another year. Lt test is older and tomorrow is baby Kline's two year anniversary - he's eligible to get the silver bar.

I went down to the academy to meet with the company reps that are compiling the SGT's test about two months ago...my best guess is late next year. LTs were part of the forum also.

It's SME again...don't ask for the answers from me...I make them up to suit the situation; but if I can offer a little bit of help (albeit small) go onto the department internet under the Training & Academy Bureau site and find the "Supervisor's Reference Guide". Screw all the study groups and all that stuff. Once you find it, you'll see what I mean. It's all there on 48 pages. Good luck to everyone.

Maurer was an SSME (SENIOR Subject Matter Expert), and therefore he had access to ALL of the content of the promotional exams.
Chris Kennedy (his adminstrative sgt.) scored #1 on the lt. exam. Kevin Hannnigan (p.o. on his staff and his personal snitch) was #1 on the sgts exam, and he was told to lie and say he was #42. Why hide it unless you have SOMETHING to hide? And it goes on and on....
