Earthquake!

A 2.5 magnitude trembler shook St. Louis Tuesday night. It was the 28th earthquake of 2.0 or greater to hit the area in 2005. Students of history will recall that the biggest quake ever to hit the lower 48 was on the New Madrid fault running up through the Mississippi River valley.

Does anyone have any word on how that city wide evacuation plan is progressing? Just in case?

The plan is to use TRU. They were instructed to stop impounding whatever cars were left in the city and to help evacuate the city while SOS gets suited up in machine guns that have no bullets. For the rest of the patrol, they are to carry the Daily Bulletin during al rescue attempts. Just because you’re saving lives, you will not be exempt from carrying the daily bulletin!!! P.S. also everyone will also have to have their hats on during the rescue. The plan is to use TRU. To the name caller above: I guess SCC called your number right in the 80,000 post.

"Norman? Norman! What are you doing in there with the door closed? You know I have to get in there to change the bedsheets again. Norman? What's that smell? You better not have that doll in there again. I thought I threw that thing away."

City officials in St. Louis stated that they do in fact have an evacuation plan but they can't tell anybody about it because if they did it might fall in the hands of the wrong people.

Have no fear up in here. Neil Sullivan, an intellectual giant, monitors the New Madrid fault. He even has a seismograph in his bedroom with his wet bar.

Yes, sir. "Da Rug" is at the top of his game. He was discussing New Madrid at his last Mensa meeting.

Next round's on Neil.

Who, the terrorists that cause earthquakes? Is there a violent faction of seperatist Morlocks living under St. Loius?

Earthquake in St. Louis? They may have felt 2.0 there but I heard the epicenter was at 35th St. on the 5th floor.

This is the ONLY Police related Website or blog that I've read where the Officers continually and consistently without shame, attack, call names, make disparaging remarks about or out and out lie about the very same people that they work with.

SHAME ON YOU!

5:10,
You obviously don't have a clue as to how things are here in this big city. Tell you what, you live in your world, we'll live in ours and hopefully we will never have to meet. Shame on you for assuming that us third class citizens have to abide by your first class bullsh*t.

Don't go away mad. Just go away.

The plan is just about the same for an earthquake as it is for a terrorist attack.

there is NO effective way to evacuate the city of chicago on short notice. especially on a business day. it would be interesting afterwards to see who got the heads up and escaped in time......assuming survival, of course.

The NYPD rant. Same thing as here.

Just because you don't know, does not make what you believe to be true, true.

Cops whine and complain. Its a bonafide occupational requirement.

What I saw on my safari visit to Mt. Greenwood this holiday, all on second and third watches:

590
4306
4303
4720
Some sorta OEMC SUV pulling out of Beggar's
All kinds of tac guys.
Multiple 022 cars in the White Hen at 103rd, just west of western.
A Cook County Sheriff's car running lights and sirens w/b on 115th, just west of Pulaski.
And too many c/d units to count.

I felt safe, and I'm sure I'd be the nicest inspector in Chicago.

That is all. Happy holidays!
