City Hall? 35th Street?
With all the hot air and wind generated by these two buildings, they ought to be able to power more than a few houses in the neighborhood. Aeroturbines are coming to Chicago and we would love to see some of the wasted energy put to good use. If they could find a way to harness bullshit, we'd be completely free of foreign oil dependence - at least in this town. Who else has an energy saving idea? You could get a city contract and spend time in the Federal pen after a few years.

As long as the city and the department insist on buying stupid useless vehicles that get less than 10 mpg we will always be pissing away money to foreign oil.
Anyway, The wind turbines and solar panels are a no brainer. I wonder which alderman's relative got the contracts. You know none of us could qualify under the current system of the award of the contract going to the family tree of the person applying.
Man, you talk about bullshit. Just a idea on how to save some big big bucks. Example: these new Chevy's squad cars were purchased through the State Police minority contract. That's because our local Chevy dealers refused to declare themselves a minority owned firm and don't need the city's bullshit. So, the State Police already have the "minority" contract in place and the city now piggybacks on their contract and buys 150 squads that are delivered to Decater Illinois. Stay with me, it gets better.
Now instead of loading up the semi car carrier, each of the Chevys is driven to 51st street from Decater at an additional $150 bucks per car.
Having said that: now I can hardly wait for the $900,000 dollars the city is going to come up with to help the people who rob, steal, rape and commit other acts of "common mutherfuckery" after we put our lives on the line to put the bastards there,they will get out of the joint so they can get a job! WHAT!!!

Great dialogue on the NYPD RANT.
With the queue-type format on the RANT, you can avoid some of the boring subjects that occasionally appear on SCC. You can also stay on topic and let the cop bashers have their own thread. Subjects that generate the most interest/posts continually reappear at the top of the queue while the nonsense and juvenile bullshit moves off the front page.

In a nutshell it is one more reason NOT to do any police work in Chicago or any other "DEMOCRAT" suburb.
Briefly it relates that Vincent Jones 43 (I am assuming he's M/1- call it racial profiling) an $87,000 a year Cook County Purchasing agent, member of Cook County Recorder of Deeds Eugene Moore's political organization, and Stroger relative Roughed up a citizen in Forest Park after the guy told him NOT to put a campaign sign in his yard.
The citizen calls police, and this asswipe Jones Fought with the police when they ordered the sign taken down.He completly melts down and "Motherfucks" the police, calling them bitches, etc., and orders them to replace the sign. He then tells them before being locked up that he is politically connected, they are making a mistake, and threatens to "take care of them" he gets all their badge numbers and tells them that he is going to file a lawsuit, and enter the hospital claiming he was beaten by the police and a victim of police brutality.
THE OUTCOME: Cook County recorder of Deeds, Eugene Moore bailed out Jones putting down the 10% of the $10,000 Bond.
Jones later filed a complaint against 2 white and 1 black officer alleging police brutality and racial discrimination, just as he threatened to do! (In 2002, Jones was charged with resisting arrest and felony U.U.W.)BOTH later dropped.(No doubt, he's a nice young man, and has the qualifications and background to attain such status as a PURCHASING AGENT with cook county)
C'MON PEOPLE..THIS CRIMINAL GOOF IS MAKING MORE MONEY THEN MOST POLICE OFFICERS IN CHICAGO AND GETS AWAY WITH THIS TYPE OF THUGGISH BEHAVIOR AGAIN AND AGAIN!

Lets go back to revolvers. The semi-auto pistol is just a crutch. More shots does not do the police any better. Better training is needed. More practice. The auto-pistol just brings spray and pray. 2% hit ratios? If you can't shoot then maybe just carry a stick and whistle. Or pepper spray. Better yet just keep then pistols with the radios in lock-down.
Then why do all the elite shooting agencies in the world use semi-auto's? Why aren't they using revolvers? Maybe your genius hasn't been recognized.
Thats why their elite. Chicagos cops are from keystone! Weapons training is of low priority here in Chicago. See the way city cops shoot, its a joke!
