The Silence Continues

It's been 20 days and we still haven't heard A SINGLE WORD from any exempts that naming a street after Fred Hampton is not just wrong, IT'S REALLY WRONG. Officer Gilhooly's family has a letter in the Tribune taking the entire street naming process to task. Wouldn't it be decent if a single exempt could stand up and stand with the Gilhooly family? The next meeting regarding this goofy move is fast approaching (29 March) and we haven't heard anything from any of the unions representing all ranks that leads us to believe that anyone is taking this seriously. Is everyone hoping it will all just go away?

We do have a picture of some pin designs that everyone should be wearing should this stupidity become reality:
We aren't sure if the creator of the pins wants to be identified yet, but he is one of our regulars. We'll let you know if and when the pins become available. In the meantime, the FOP meeting is this Tuesday - let's make an issue of this somehow. Otherwise, some other steps might have to be brought into play.

UPDATE: The pins are available at www.cfe-tagman.com.

Like to see a lot of these at
St. Jude, along with a lot of family members. We need to show the politicians that we mean business and woe to those who would do us harm.

These are now available from our friends at www.CFE-TAGMAN.com.

These pins honoring the officers murdered by the Black Panthers and downing the leader who advocated their murder.

Call Mike or Donna for prices and quantities at 1-800-815-1165.

Also see them for nameplates, ribbons and KMA pins.
They are good people to deal with.

There was one comment that an individual made about someone making a profit for something like this. People have to make a living, just like the people who manufacture tombstones or the CPD Memorial bricks.

Why haven't there been any statements from exempts? Have there been, and we missed them, or did City Hall order their silence? Ideas anyone?

Why wait for the FOP SCC can call for a demonstration just say when and where.

Let's make a plan and send out a press release.

I don't think it would be too difficult to get 2000 coppers, souses and their kids to circle City Hall in protest.

I'd suggest drafting a retired guy like Northside to lead this charge since a working copper might be re-assigned to some yet to be thought of punishment detail.

I think it's already too late to get seats at the City Council meeting...

One bronze star on an award stands for you receiving the award a second time... you can wear up to 4 bronze stars, then on the 5th time for receiving the same award you replace the 4 bronze with a silver star. Gold star is 10 awards. Oak Leaf is for 100 awards. Like the Honorable mention award is issued for 50 honorables but if you have 100 honorables then you wear the aok leaf in the middle.

Well if anything good comes from this ridiculous street sign situation, is Officers Gilhooley and Rappaport who may have been become another faded away memorial memory. Now have their names etched in new coppers and civilians minds everywhere. Their identities have been risen from the grave. When you go to a police memorial or service, really look at EACH name and see the person who is there, the person who served and protected thier communites and families and now are the ultimate victim of a criminal.
Personally, I know I will.
To the family and friends of these 2 officers, my deepest sympathy that you have to relive such a painful ordeal these past few weeks. Thank you for sharing your loved ones with us. With Hope the awareness that this street sign situation brings will show the world that violent behavior is not the solution to a peaceful universe.

I hope the pin creater will allow himself to be identified. That way I can investigate his neighbors and find out who you are. And I will post it for all to see.

You are as much a coward as all these other tough talking police. All smack, no action.

Isn't it odd that the 6:08:14AM disd not identify himself.

Who's the coward.

The makers of the pins are Mike and Donna of Chicago's Finest Engraving, AKA www.CFE-TAGMAN.com.

They were in Chicago, and now live happily I trust in Wisconsin.
I have never met them but have delt with them for years. They are good people and make good products for police, fire and the military.

You gonna go up there and investigate them you troll.

You are not the police, you are not even a wannabe.

On the GILHOOLY-RAPPAPORT" pins, there is no letter E in John's misspelled name.

Since this thread is about the murders of two fine police officers and the lack of respect by the City, I again am ashamed that we have morons that continue with their grammar school playground drivel posts.

When it comes to RESPECT FOR THE SACRIFICES OF OUR FALLEN COMRADES, such posts are an unconscionable disgrace. I'd like to think that these imbeciles are not current or retired members of the CPD.

These juvenile assholes would break out in laughter at a trainwreck.

I have a theory.

After their bullshit Democratic primary tomorrow, Daley, Durbin, Blagojevich, Cline, Starks, Obama and even the bed-ridden Stroger are going to come out swinging against the Panthers and for Officers Gilhooly and Rappaport.

Absolutely no rational person can deny that Hampton and the Black Panthers openly incited the murders of police officers nationwide. We have a police body count to prove that--not to even mention the scores of officers who survived gunshot wounds.

If I'm wrong, the politicians should be burned at the stake for cowardice at Daley Plaza at high noon.

The FOP National Lodge has taken a stand. Check their site.

Hey man, if you want to name a street after someone just cough up the cash. The city will sell you the right! So coppers if you want to fight it open your wallets and buy that street. But we all know your all too cheap.

Like one poster said, all the action will take place after the primaires. Why do you think we have so many exempt spots open right now?

The crooks at the top(r bought and paid for politicians who go with whatever way the wind blows) have to wait to make sure they have the nod from the corupt system.

You watch after Tuesday you will see the openings at the top filled. If Stroger loses a shakeup has already been put in place. If Stroger wins its status quo on who gets the openings.

The men who lost their lives in the line of duty mean very little. They r just pawns in a political agenda.

To the little worms who r not police and try to incite trouble on this blog, grow up!!!

U r probably one of the little anarchists from Naperville I had to march 3 miles with on Saturday. Lake/Ashland all the way to Dearborn/Oak. U don't even know what anarchy is. If daddy would have kicked your ass when you were a little younger, you wouldn't have that stupid haircut you have now.

The last posts (11:28 & 11:46) are from Democrat dirty tricksters.

While we despise Democrats, ask for a Democratic primary ballot tomorrow. Vote Claypool over Stroger and Eisendrath over Blagojevich.

Do not play into the hands of CLOUT swine! Remember, Daley, Durbin and other scum endorsed Stroger.

Come November, do NOT vote for any Democrat.

Any rumors on another Sgt's class off the old list or the next Dicks class?

3/20/2006 03:05:00 PM

Call FOP, I had heard the class of sgts will begin the D-training in May. Should be seeing the request for merit letters probably the 27th (right after the test). I had heard the FOP was expecting to get the list of names in shortly (ones on the list). Dicks I'm hearing 3April. The Lt's should be around the same time, 25-30.

To the poster at 6:08:14 AM.

Why should I or anyone else identify myself to you, except when I tell you that you are under arrest.

You are not the police, so stay off our site. Likely you are a leftover offspring of the d.d.q. with an AK-47 and not enough brains to do anything useful in your life. I save lives and put bad guys in jail, what do you do?

("d.d.q." is the initials of Hampton's street gang, upsidedown.)

My only regret is why we need those pins and that I mispelled Gilhooly's name when I talked to Tagman.

Will the pins turn up later as trading pins at the FOP conventions. A buy and trade with officers from other departments?

3/20/2006 05:01:00 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I keep hearing 50-52 dicks. Thats from a bunch of different people. The sgt's are a hard one though. I'll walk ya through: 2 weeks ago someone posted that they worked @ 35th st. Stated that 37 were gonna be made and the list (for d-training) would be out btn 19-25APR. As of right now the dept is short 6 sgts according to the Sgt's bargaining unit. The smallest class therefore would be 31 total, if they made 25 Lt's or add whatever the difference is if the class is bigger (lts). There is much speculation about the number of retirements that will occur on 15APR. That could bump up the size of the class or they wait for the final #'s and make a possible 2nd class. Thats why I kind of believed that poster. It would take to much free time to attempt to figure that stuff up, plus attempt to hunt down the monthly personnel orders.

You know I love you SCC. Not in a broke back mountain kind of way though. But you can't tell me that your surprised by the bosses on this job and the way they're handling the street sign issue with silence. Anyone's who grew up in Chicago or who's been on the job over 5 years can't say that this surprises them. This is exactly what I expected from the bosses. The way they promote on this city it doesn't surprise me one bit.
It's sad. Just sad.

"FRED HAMPTON" can be easily converted to "RED TAMPON" with a quick blast of spray paint while standing on the hood or roof of your squad car...total time of street sign alteration could be in the seconds. Seems to me that Red Tampon might be more appealing to the bleeding-heart (cunt) liberals advocating for such signage.

With that same can of spray paint do a "d.d.q." That's the initials of hampton's street gang upside down. And never for a moment think that hampton's group was anything more than a bunch of raciest punks, armed, violent and trying to have the romantic notion of a revolutionary party. Revolutionary!?! I think just revolting.
