Now the mayor is being touted as a potential witness and his lawyers have told him to go from "deny, deny, deny" to "no comment." Perhaps they have him on tape proving he knew something and the "deny, deny, deny" line ain't going to fly with the Feds? We can only hope.

When is the Police Department going to get investigated? Another special "member" was given sergeant stripes for working as a secretary/detective in the Superintendent's Office and, after graduating sergeant's school was assigned immediately to I.A.D. We have to take care of the "gifted" members of this professional organization. After all, we only have a small pool of qualified officers who deserve to get promoted and then receive special assignments. If I was a betting person I would be a billionaire by now if I could find a sucker to bet on who will be promoted and where they will be assigned.

Bullshit. Plenty of kinky cops have been indicted, convicted, and sent to jail. It's a matter of scarce rescources and priorities. Daley is a target and it is a matter of time. The worst thing to happen to federal investigations of political corruption was 9/11/2001 inasmuch as it diverted the rescources of the US Attorney and the FBI. Sit back, it's gonna happen sooner or later. And Daley surrounds himself with pussies who would sell their mothers, and him, to save their own skins. My only hope is that when they finish with the pol's the G directs it's attention to the police department. Every honest policeman, and thta's most of us, deserves to have the corruption excised from our lives.
