We're Doing a Great Job!

Just don't turn on the TV or radio this weekend. From Channel 7:
  • At least 18 people were shot -- three fatally -- on the streets of Chicago overnight and early Saturday morning. The violence occurred less than 24 hours after the Chicago Police Department announced a drop in murders and other crimes.
Talk about a bad sense of timing, eh? Of course, the south side reverends have a solution close at hand:
  • Religious leaders on the South Side are attempting to meet with gang leaders and figure out how to stop the violence. They are calling for a city wide gang summit, which is scheduled for next Sunday in Englewood.
We will offer a reward of ONE MILLIIIIIION DOLLARS for anyone who can figure out how to get a GBU-15, AGM-86C or similar device onto that city block on 30 April. As we are currently cash poor, the reward will be payable in monthly installments over the next 8,000 years.

Call us crazy, but we're thinking it's going to be a busy summer.

Bobby Rush,Rev. Jackson,Rev. Jakes,Rev.Meeks, and "the hat" Tillman are all correct yesterday in asserting that Cline should resign.

So effective tomorrow MATT Cline will resign and all the killing and black-on-black crime will cease..I THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA!(Hell they're all to stupid to see that at that moment "they been tricked" as they say in-da-hood or "Punk'd" as white american teens would say!)

And The Superintendant would feel like GOD for sacraficeing his Son for the sins of the black gangbangers!

If a South Side "Religious Leader" existed, they'd be calling for the communitty to work with the police to stop crime. These self appointed, race baiting, useless media hounds should be exposed for what they are...but the media will be sucked in to this bulls**t as usual. Giving some legitamacy to these criminals by calling a "gang summit" is exactly what allows the killing to go on and on.

i came wondering into area 2 detective division this week and geeesh what mugs the female dics got on em. SCARED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME. i read an earlier post on the most attractive f/dics in the city...and believe me area 2 got the worst of the bunch. i looked at one of those area 2 female dics and looked her right in the face and if i'll be damned she could have been an advertising poster for birth control. and there was another one that had eyes like that yoda from the star war movie. the one female detective that has got black hair looked like she wanted to bite MY dic off just for looking in her direction. honestly i'm straight up 100% male loving women kind of guy but this is an area that has got men looking better then women. i am not surprised the men detectives looked so sad its because no good looking women to brighten things up in the the area 2. I really think, and its only my opinion that they got them ugly female dics in their to SCARE the arrestees into confessing their crimes. as i walked out of area 2 detective division i could not help notice nose hair sticking out of a blonde wannabes nose. Geesh, gave me goosebumps. one thing though, they are being fed good too on the south side those female detectives. each one of em got a potbelly.

Fillmore ain't shit compared to the 80's and 90's when Rockwell Gardens was fully loaded to capacity with the worst of the worst savages in Chicago. But the Gardens are now gone. Yuppies now live on the East end as well as the middle of the district on Washington and Warren. Homan Square replaced some of the worst gang-infested blocks where they shot at the police at least twice a week, on average. Only a FNG with less than 5 years would think the place "rocks", because you've got nothing to compare it to. It's a friggin' dead zone compared to the old days when guys like Willie Bobo, Ray Ray Longstreet and Willie Lloyd ran it all. I mean, 011 still has it's moments, but it ain't even CLOSE to what it used to be. Just about every one of us who worked a beat car in 011 from the late 80's to mid 90's averaged 5 or 6 guns a period. I doubt that even the tact guys there are putting up numbers like that these days. So please, spare us the chest-thumping braggadocia about how tough it is in Fillmore. There are worse places to be these days... really.

One last thing... if you don't know who Stanley Nowinski is, you are NOT a Fillmore Ranger!!

A gang summit? What the hell is wrong with the world when we legitimize so called "gang leaders" who stand for nothing but criminal activity?

Fuck "gang leaders!" Anyone who steps up as a so called leader of a gang should be shot. But that's an option that is not politically available.

If you are a gang member, what kind of retirement program is there? Do they get free medical insurance? How much a month do they get when....and if, they retire?

This is all bullshit, but no one will say so. Why? If a member of the mafia were to call a "truce" against another crew, the FBI would be on their asses like stink on shit. But the shithead gangs we have running rampant in the city are legitimized by calling for a truce?

This bullshit won't stop as long as you have assholes (meaning gangbangers) willing to shoot someone. Guns aren't the problem, the problem is asshole kids willing to shoot someone for bullshit. When will it stop?

It's not just a gang problem, the problem lies with the honest hard working members of our minority communities who sit by and are silent while thugs run the streets and shoot innocents with impunity. "Don't snitch" and other bullshit sayings are killing our young people.

Hard working people of color sit by and let gangbangers do their bullshit and say nothing. Bill Cosby is the only person of color who speaks the truth. And for talking truth he gets shit.

When will it end? When people realize that being a thug doesn't pay. When being a member of a criminal organization (gangs) doesn't help society. Will it ever come to pass that people will say enough and stop the bullshit? Who knows. And so it goes.....

This Fillmore Envy movement has me confused. There is no more Fillmore. You work in the Harrison District, a vastly different place than the "Filthmore" District of the 1960's and early 1970's. Imagine all of those empty lots full of buildings and hundreds of people handging on the stoops and street corners. The entire Fourth Area was like that at that time. You can't go back. If you weren't assigned to 4001 W. Fillmore, you missed it. Some have memories, some only repeat the stories.

Glad to see that some out here still remember Stan "The Man" Nowinski. Stanley was the only cop I ever know who wore cowboy boots with his uniform every day, and not one boss ever said a thing about it. Back in the day, when you took a ride down to the Ivory Tower at 11th & State, you brought Stan a cup of coffee... "extra black", the way he liked it. :-) Stanley's console had a huge wooden sign across the top that read "STAN'S WILD KINGDOM" and had a bunch of stuffed jungle animals all around it. His console also had about a dozen hanging monkeys (from the Barrel of Monkeys game) hanging down from each side.

Stan knew every inch of Fillmore, and always seemed to know where every shithead you were chasing on foot was running to before the guy even got there. I'll be damned if he wasn't right almost every time. Those were the days, man. Like one previous person said.... having Stan on Zone 10 was like having a 3rd guy on the car. I hope Stan is still alive and doing well. He was the best dispatcher to ever grace the CPD airwaves.

And for those of you that are reading this blog. When you come into our house with your bullshit arrest, and your sleeves rolled up (or the short sleeves when everyone else is wearing long sleeves), you have no idea how much we laugh at you. The best part is, when you walk in, with your chest out, and your Criminal Tresspass to State Land arrest (a bum that didn't/couldn't read the lettering on the door warning that non-students will be arrested), like you made a real arrest.

Keep bringing in your bullshit. We need a laugh.

About the UIC Police

2:56:41 is speaking from ignorance.

As someone related to a UIC police officer, I assure you that the UIC Police Are The Police.

They are sometime referred to as 12 and a half and are a great back-up.

By law they have the same powers as the sheriff in any county in which the University of Illinois has property. This will very at times as the university obtains and disposes of property. They take case reports, make investigations, and do search warrants off university property.

They will be marching in the St. Jude Parade, (last year shouldering Colt A-R 15s), I doubt that 2:56:41 will be there.
He will be busy dissing fellow officers.

Ya, Ya , Ya.

Nothing is ever as tough as it used to be. I remember hearing that in the Corps, too.

You can tell when an old-timer is talking about the good ol days when he talks down to the "new" people.

Times have changed old man, but there are still plenty of beasts running around acting the way they have since the dawn of time. Guess who takes care of these fucks? Yup, the "new" police. Even though there are cameras everywhere, the public and the media questions everything we do, there are lawsuits generated over every petty allegation, cowardly policemen, worthless bosses and politicians that will hang you out to dry, etc, etc..

Real easy streets to police, aren't they?

Guess what, the "new" police still get the job done.

Are you sure you weren't in Area 5? Your description sure sounds like one of the Detectives that works, I mean collects a check from that unit, Richard Hybl. Your description matches him to a tee.

Yo, I worked with Stan and he WAS the real deal. Love, love, love the cowboy boots reference.

But I digress. Ahhh for the days when the zone commander could smoke and drink through the night. When the only evidence of timeliness (or lack of timeliness) was on the time-stamped tickets. Amazing how much more BS goes out now that the evidence, er tickets, can't be "lost" by the bucket.

Another thing to the goof who gets a laugh when UIC Police, or University of Chicago Police or Northwestern University Police brings in a trespasser.

Who do you think becomes a thief, a burglar or a criminal sexual assault offender when the opportunity arises.

I saved a lot of money over the years so my kid can go to a good college. I am glad some of that money goes to keeping her safe.

Do us a favor and play in the sand in Benton Harbor with Richie during the St. Jude Parade. That march is for people who respect the police

Guess what? The "new" police aren't getting the job done. They're too sensitive to being "talked down to." Sorry you don't have any stories worth talking about.

Next time you're getting your ass kicked and a UIC cop shows up to help, I hope you tell him he's not needed because he's not the real police. But then judging by your ridiculous coments, and the fact that you always seem to be in the station (since you're always in "your house"), you probably aren't getting in any fights...or doing any police work. Loser.

I loved it when Stan would start to read out a job and realize it was complete nonsense halfway through it. The next thing you'd hear him say was... "Nevermind 1112, I'm gonna shitcan this one myself."

It's too bad that can't can't do that anymore. Just think of all the time we'd have to do REAL police work.

90% of call categories are known to be nonsense, and 95% of calls are. O.W. Wilson accepted it so he could keep coppers tied up (and moving) rather than taking bribes on traffic stops (or sleeping). And the Democrats just kept adding and adding and adding when they realized that it was up to them to provide the answer to all life's problems.

Than again, I've been called many, many names when I've suggested that EVERY uniform oughta be put on a full day foot patrol at least once a week. Away from calls and all that. Like you said, imagine the police work that a worker could do if not tied down to a radio.

Not that I'd trust 70 or 80% of the department (or any population) to do much if not held accountable.
