The final bill has come due for "the Bean" and it's a whopper! From Channel 7 reports:
- Here's "the Bean" counter:
- in 1999 the proposed cost was $6 million.
- by the time Millennium Park opened the tab had almost doubled.
- a year ago it had almost tripled and a California engineering company went broke making just the framework.
- the 2006 final price tag: $23 million.
And how about these stunners:
- it is more than the City of Chicago budget for women's and children's health care.
- it is twice the money the city spends on fire prevention.
- four times the budget for low-income heating bill help.
- and eight times the amount the city spends on it's plan to end homelessness.
Two years late, four times over budget, just for a sculpture. Good thing the mayor tricked a whole bunch of corporations and wealthy individuals to part with their millions for this debacle.

Within the last week, Karl Rove told President Bush and Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten, as well as a few other high level administration officials, that he will be indicted in the CIA leak case and will immediately resign his White House job when the special counsel publicly announces the charges against him, according to sources.
Details of Rove's discussions with the president and Bolten have spread through the corridors of the White House where low-level staffers and senior officials were trying to determine how the indictment would impact an administration that has been mired in a number of high-profile political scandals for nearly a year, said a half-dozen White House aides and two senior officials who work at the Republican National Committee.

Today I was approached to purchase a ticket for a benefit for a "Copper" getting "30" for "Bullshit".
Well it may have been "Bullshit" that he is doing THIS "30" for, but from what I have been told the "Copper" has another "30 pending" coming down the pipe.
The second "30" comes from an incident where he took AKA STOLE several thousand dollars from a benefit held for the daughter of a deceased police officer, who was killed in the line of duty in 1995.
I believe the "Copper" still works in 15.
So if you are selling tickets for this JAGLIPS, Stop.
If you are considering buying a ticket for this ASSHAT, Do Not.
If he tries explaining to you what he did, you decide if you want to listen to his bullshit.
