Gee Whiz

Remember back when the goof who was pardoned in George Ryan's (may he rot in hell for all eternity) last minute Nobel Peace Prize push was picked up again for dope and gun violations and sentenced to prison? We commented that maybe, just maybe, the cops got it right and Patterson shouldn't have been let out in the first place? Once a scumbag, always a scumbag?

We wondering again if the cops got it right years ago. Actually, we aren't wondering - we know from many accounts that the detectives DID get it right in the Ryan Harris case and this little asshole should have been behind bars years ago. We even wrote about it here. Now he's under arrest again for what will probably turn out to be murder when the victim is removed from life support (Channel 2, Channel 5, Channel 7, Sun Times, Tribune coverage).

The side of us that revels in dark humor says at least he'll be able to afford the best defense money can buy with his $2 million dollar settlement. The other side is more than a little pissed off that the City didn't decide to fight this and show that a 7 year old psychopath was capable of beating a girl into unconsciousness over a bicycle almost 8 years ago. Somebody ought to find Hillard and everyone else who dropped the ball on this one and go kick them in the nuts. Then someone go ask PJ if he feels vindicated all these years later.

Daley needs to get some balls and stop paying all these shitheads out for everything. Sure was a great idea to give a murdering animal 2 mill. so he can go and murder again. Never would have seen this one coming. *mock being shocked*

He prob. did, or mamma did. I like that she was afraid for her son's safety, she must be in while he is being interviewed. I hope she sees the video of him turning towards the camera holding a gun. He prob. bought a nice expensive gun with the 2 mill. from taxpayers like us.

Also, don't forget his mama also said he doesn't like or trust the police after what happened to him when he was 7 yrs old. Give me a break, I can't believe the media and their bs. That should never have been put in the paper. As, if it the police fault that this kid is a scandulous murderer. Maybe momma should take some of the blame.

We Need A Laugh A tourist visiting Chicago walked into a pet shop and was looking at the animals on display. While he was there, a police officer walked in and said to the shopkeeper, "I'll take a Beat monkey, please." The shopkeeper nodded, went over to a cage at the side of the shop, and took out a monkey. He fit it with a collar and leash and handed it to the officer saying, "That'll be $1,000." The officer paid and walked out with his monkey.

Startled, the tourist went over to the shopkeeper and said, "That was a very expensive monkey. Most of them are only a few hundred dollars. Why did it cost so much?"

The shopkeeper answered, "Ah, that monkey is an expert in firing small arms, can write 20 tickets a month, and is certified in small unit tactics -- well worth the money!"

The tourist looked at the monkey in another cage. "That one's even more expensive! $10,000! What does it do?"

"Oh, that one's a certified FTO monkey; it can instruct other monkeys in basic firearms skills, counter-terrorism training, physical training, small unit tactics, and investigative techniques, and it can even type. All the really useful stuff," said the shopkeeper.

The tourist looked around for a little longer and saw a third monkey in a large cage of its own. The price tag around its neck read $100,000. He gasped to the shopkeeper, "That one costs more than all the others put together! What on earth does it do?"

The shopkeeper replied, "Well, I haven't actually seen it do anything, but it says it's a Sergeant."

From the statements made by the boys themselves.

Dry behind your ears and get a few years on the job kid. Go talk to some real detectives who worked this heater day and night and did a damn good job, only to have it stuffed up their asses by Hillard Devine Daley and their people. If the detectives like you, they might talk to you or let you read the notes.

Here's your first clue; if the dicks fucked up so bad, why didn't anyone take time or get dumped out of their spots? Everyone knows that the minute you step on your dick, the department will hammer you. It didn't happen because they didn't fuck up. Whoever is feeding this site info from Area 2 is getting quite a few facts correct, with the Dominick's shooting and the Harris murder. SCC did some time in the Area down here, no doubt about it.

Take a look at Fridays Sun Times. The picture they posted show the offenders sitting at the table in front of the Judge. If you look a little closer you can see the words "coloring" written at the top of a page. Does this mean that he was coloring in the courtroom (poor little innocent youth). The othe thing I would like to know is how many fifiteen year olds are still coloring. I am sure many gave that pasttime up well before our teen years. How about a little research to see where our two million dollars went? We have people that could do this, how about a little info on our tax dollars.

the TAXPAYERS (including all of us) got ripped off, by our own city council when they gave the other guy 6+ million and him the 2 million. They didn't deserve one thin dime, in fact I think they should pay us....

An Angel Walked the Beat Tonight

A drunk man in an Oldsmobile
They said had run the light
That caused the six-car pileup
On 109 that night.
When broken bodies lay about
And blood was everywhere,
The sirens screamed out elegies,
For death was in the air.
mother, trapped inside her car,
Was heard above the noise;
Her plaintive plea near split the air:
"Oh, God, please spare my boys!"
She fought to loose her pinned hands;
She struggled to get free
But mangled metal held her fast
In grim captivity.
Her frightened eyes then focused
On where the back seat once had been,
But all she saw was broken glass and
Two children's seats crushed in.
Her twins were nowhere to be seen;
She did not hear them cry,
And then she prayed they'd been thrown free,
"Oh, God, don't let them die!"
Then firemen came and cut her loose
But when they searched the back,
They found therein no little boys,
But the seat belts were intact.
They thought the woman had gone mad
And was traveling alone,
But when they turned to question her,
They discovered she was gone.
Policemen saw her running wild
And screaming above the noise
In beseeching supplication,
"Please help me find my boys!
They're four years old and wear blue shirts;
Their jeans are blue to match."
One cop spoke up, "They're in my car,
And they don't have a scratch.
They said their daddy put them there
And gave them each a cone,
Then told them both to wait for Mom
To come and take them home.
I've searched the area high and low,
But I can't find their dad.
He must have fled the scene,
I guess, and that is very bad."
The mother hugged the twins and said,
While wiping at a tear,
"He could not flee the scene, you see
For he's been dead a year."
The cop just looked confused and asked,
"Now, how can that be true?"
The boys said, "Mommy, Daddy came
And left a kiss for you.
He told us not to worry
And that you would be all right,
And then he put us in this car with
The pretty, flashing light.
We wanted him to stay with us,
Because we miss him so,
But Mommy, he just hugged us tight
And said he had to go.
He said someday we'd understand
And told us not to fuss,
And he said to tell you, Mommy,
He's watching over us."
The mother knew without a doubt
That what they spoke was true,
For she recalled their dad's last words,
"I will watch over you."
The firemen's notes could not explain
The twisted, mangled car,
And how the three of them escaped
Without a single scar.
But on the cop's report was scribed,
In print so very fine,
An angel walked the beat tonight
On Highway 109.

"He who has a thousand friends has not a friend to spare ."
The 7 Second Prayer: "Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, and bless me, my family, my home, and my friends, in Jesus' name. Amen."

Can't Cry Blues

Do you think it's easy being a cop on the beat,
dealing with death, and the scum of the street?
When you start this job, you're eager and keen,
but before too long, you're cynical and mean.
You're called to an accident, it's a solid mass
of twisted up metal and broken glass.
You walk to the wreck with bystanders around
and your heart skips a beat...
when you find a doll on the ground.
Another young fatality, but you cannot cry
You're the pillar of strength in the Public's eye.
You do what you have to do, to get the job done
but you know in your heart, the stressors have won.
Then home to your wife, you give her a shrug
and you fight back the tears...
when your own daughter you hug.
Yes....if you think the job's easy
then tell me why
the tears are there, but we cannot Cry.

Trying to Understand

"Is daddy coming home soon?" asks a precious little face.
"It's past when he should be here. Is he working on a case?"
Your dad's not coming home son. He's working late tonight.
He's a policeman up in heaven, making sure we're all alright.
"But mommy, why'd he leave us? I miss him when he's gone."
I know you miss him darling, but now we must be strong.
"Who's gonna teach me baseball, and help me fly my kite.
And help me withg my homework, and buy me my first bike?"
Your daddy loved you darling, and he didn't want to leave.
But a bad man took, your daddy, and left us all to grieve.
Be proud of who your dad was, and how he earned his pay.
Because it's people like your daddy that keep us safe each day.
"Mommy, when I get bigger, and if it's okay with you,
I'm gonna be like daddy, and be a policeman too."

Eric indeed became a PO because he was tired of the crime in our neighborhood. Many of his friends turned to gangs, but Eric stayed firm and relentlessly pursued becoming a crime fighter.
Thank you for going to his wake. I am Reuben and I was a very close friend to him. We all respected Eric-even the gang bangers who used to play sports with us. Two of them-Alejandro and Emmanuel still get tearly eyed when they think about his passing. They are bad guys, but they had much love for Eric and his career path.
He was a guy who could bring much joy to anyone he met. Not your typical cop-he wasn't standoffish and he was ready to lend a helping hand to all walks of life. many of us considered him to being like Jesus! He was very religious and that made him like an angel. He was like a brother to me. CPD lost a great person in losing Eric. Another friend of ours' is Maria. Maria still walks the mean streets as Eric, however, she will admit-she was no Eric Solorio. Eric epitomized being a family oriented man. He loved his family, friends and the "neighborhood" in which he grew up. To us he was like a superhero-only he was too modest to admit that!
I hope CPD will never forget the honor he bestowed to his community. He was a man who left a great legacy and we will always remember his smile and faith.
Thank you for asking about my best friend-Eric.

Love to you-Much love Eric!!!

I am not against slapping around a gang banger or any other criminal.
But suffocating him with a typewriter cover or electrocuting his testicles is brutal and sociopathic.

If the kid in Ryan Harris case or Aaron Patterson did the crime, than make the case and make them do the time. However, if they did not do that crime, even if they are criminals in other cases, it does not give victims or their families justice to not get the right person.

You need to get off your racist remarks soapbox pal...you may or may not have been friends with officer Solorio I don't know...I also don't know what race has to do with his tragic loss either...He was killed by a DUI driver and his "white", "Black","Asian" etc...partner has nothing to do with the fact that he is gone and he will never come back unfortunately...what are you going to accomplish with your hatred?? Will it bring your friend back?? Will it make you a better person?? Will it prevent the next DUI killing of a Chicago police officer?? The answer my friend is NO! You are nothing but a selfish ignorant individual to lash out at any officer because "your friend" is gone and his partner was "white".You need to definately address your hatred through counseling and that should be done ASAP before you self destruct. I have no idea if you are a police officer but if you are please go to 3510 S. Michigan and resign today because there is NO PLACE for your type of personality on this department, we need to have police officers that are willing to support each other in their time of need and stand next to each other for support...not police officers who cause dissention and divide our brotherhood with their hatred...this department is challinging enough to deal with on any ordinary day with the demands and morale...we don't need your evil hatred here...please get to a counselor or 3510 S. Michigan ASAP before its too late.
