FBI says, it has “No hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11”

...

On June 5, 2006, the Muckraker Report contacted the FBI Headquarters, (202) 324-3000, to learn why Bin Laden’s Most Wanted poster did not indicate that Usama was also wanted in connection with 9/11. The Muckraker Report spoke with Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI. When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on Bin Laden’s Most Wanted web page, Tomb said, “The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden’s Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.”

except for Osama's numerous statements and videos whereby he takes credit, praises the "martyrs," and promises more attacks of the same sort? Stop being a tool of the democratic party you asshole. Next you'll say Bush and Cheney knew about it and did nothing to stop it.

Anyone have any details about the woman shot on 82 and Kedzie last night? I rarely see 008 making streetstops on the roving groups of bangers that are always up and down Kedzie, why not? Beat 834 and 835, you need help!

Last evening my wife and I stopped for a bite to eat at Chili's in Chicago Ridge. While waiting for our food we both overheard a converstation from the booth next to us. Im certin we werent the only people who could hear what was being said, because the person speaking was talking in a volume as if she were at home. I had my back to them and couldnt see who was doing all the talking. It was a female and she dominated the conversation. Yep, she was a Chicago Police Officer, on a tact team. The things she was discussing was beginning to make my blood boil. She told (I'm guessing her parents)about the guy who was arrested and her and her partner needed to talk to him but the police beat the guy. According to her "Why would he give up any information after the police beat him?" She then begins to talk about the other tact team and how she cant "trust those guys". This telling of WAR stories and bad mouthing of fellow officers for anyone with less than average hearing lasted for about 10 minutes. I was about to introduce myself when her father changed the topic of conversation. I felt the the need to tell this idiot that she has no clue as to who might be sitting around her when she is running her mouth and that her bitching about fellow team mebers is not for public consumption. Im posting this because I hope that she just might read this blog. Also to remind folks to think about what you are saying when you are in public.

Woman was apparently caught in the crossfire of two mopes shooting at each other around that new mini mall. Nice lady was unfortunately hit in both legs. Shame is you're right, there aren't alot of stops going on out that way. Not the beat cars' fault. Just another one you can chalk up to the bosses and the D.O.C. Gotta be in the D.O.C. Everyone get in the D.O.C. Saturate the D.O.C. and everything else be damned. Used to be a relatively nice area but from what little I've seen it's changing pretty quick.

There were 4 people shot in 008 last night, all south end, south of the DOC location, I don't understand why they don't shift the DOC as necessary instead of week by week, also they need to try and keep the DOC in one district instead of splitting it up in two or more districts.

You guys are scaring me 'bout 008. That district has been the busiest (by radio calls) for a loooong, loooon time.

The the craziest (011), and not as violent as 007 either, but the busiest.

It and 025 are the two biggest CFs in the city with their sizes and populations. Its like the city WANTS the taxpayers in those districts to be driven out.

The South end of 008 was going downhill a decade ago. Hard to believe anything is left, but I guess things change slowly.

In any case, I don't work 834 or 835 or anywhere in 008, but believe me it ain't their fault if there aren't any street stops.

Aside from the DOC crap, the calls would drive any PO nuts in the 20 and 30 sectors of 008. And these days, increasingly the 10 sector.

The good news is that demographics have most of the savages moving south and not west. In fact, in line with that gang article yesterday, it seems like most of the high profile savages in Chicago have been moving closer and closer to the suburbs, if not INTO the suburbs.

Cline is nuts if he does't try to keep that channel flowing south though. Its one thing to turn the south suburbs into a giant ghetto. Its going to be another having ghettoes in the south, southwest and west suburbs. If that happens, the new and gentrified Chicago will be pretty well surrounded.

Circle the wagons?

Great job pilots..now lets crush their union and threaten bankruptcy if they don't agree to a salary reduction and a loss of their pensions!

The above is sarcasim..the sad part is that is the mentality of airline management today!

I would gladly pay more for a ticket to see their pay and benefits preserved. They deserve it!

Well, it would be hard for me to describe her in a manner that would help you identify her because she looks pretty much like any other female Chicago Police Officer. She was about 4'11" tall and about 350lbs, most of it in her cabbose.

Well they said open thread...

From an article on the Suntimes site:

>>McCotter also expressed concern about earmarking 100 officers "solely to do traffic."

"You will take away the ability of the district commander to assign them to different shifts, different watches, different duties....We prioritize our calls for service. If there's a crime going on, I don't want to see a police officer say, `I'm the traffic police. I don't do crime,' while a citizen gets hurt or is placed in some sort of danger," McCotter said.<<

WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT. He's arguing that the prioritized system for calls is correct? Than make the other 60-70% of officers responsible to the radio? Oh, but they aren't the "calls for service" police.

Oh, and that priority system? Yeah, how's THAT working out for yas? Almost everybody responsible to the radio tries, at least once a day, to "cheat" the bullshit system.

Yeah, God forbid they put traffic cars up. I love that 2/district comment too. So by his calculation the traffic cars are 2-man cars? What rock did this moron crawl out from under, and who said they had to be assigned to districts anyways?

Exhibit #65967435 that the goddamned geniuses at the top are the biggest Daley handjobs that he could find.

Is there any hope that the leadership will get better? When was the last time anyone can remember that even 10 or 15% of the exempts had respect among the troops?

9:09:15.... You are a complete JAGOFF. Mike McCotter is hand down the best boss on this job. To even imply that he has no respect and does not know what he is doing shows that you are the biggest moron on this department, and that takes a lot to hold that title. Congratulations you stupid fuck. You now are the biggest pussy on this job.

He might be a good guy, but he's toeing a line for Daley. Thats great him and Pappas were good bosses. Its neither here nor there. What he said is still disingenuous BULLSHIT.

He impliedly threatened that the POs would automatically be assigned to districts and would take away manpower from radio jobs. Got anything to say about the huge numbers of officers that RIGHT NOW aren't responsible for responding to calls?

Argue with that. But please, read what he said first.

2 traffic cars per watch could really help with all the b.s. trafic calls and leave us to do the other police work. Besides a traf car can take an occasional job but devote most time to all the bs parkers and accidents. A good traffic car is worth it's weight in gold!

Speaking of 025 and traffic, I will say one good thing about 025. The traffic car in 025 (2593T?) was pretty well known in communications as the best traffic car in the city in the '90s. Whoever manned that car took everything traffic related and still found time to back others up. Hope he's still there.

A shining light in a district filled with horrors.

6/21/2006 07:57:00 AM

The 2593T you refer to is none other than Bill Cozzi.

Unfortunately, the Department doesn't care about how much he did or how hard he worked, as the powers that be are currently in the process of firing him.

This single officer saved untold countless lives with his DUI enforcement. What does he get for his good deeds. . . An early retirement and a possible criminal conviction.

How very sad.

6/21/2006 05:33:00 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

That is indeed greatly saddening. I'm being serious when I say that 2593T (and the name you posted was him) was the BEST traffic car in the city. I'm afraid to ask what he's accused of, but if there is a reasonable defense offered I'll gladly help fund it.

What really sickens me is that there were several traffic cars in the city that were known for hiding 8/7/52. One of the third watch guys in 008 comes to mind. They never did nuthin to him, but they are gonna hang the hardest working one in the city? That sucks, and is truly sad.

I'll keep him in my prayers, hope the accusations (if serious) aren't true, and help if I can.
