My just called me with information regarding the CPD Sgt. test.:
I.A.D. has been informed at 2100 hrs tonight that one of twelve boxes of CPD Sgt. tests sent via an overnight service has been "misplaced". If this lost parcel is not recovered the whole 2nd portion of the Sgt. test will become void and null. The last checkpoint this parcel was scanned was O'Hare Airport sorting.
If in fact the City has to void this test, I see some very pissed off coppers.

I work in TRU and I've seen the guy driving 10-99. He always stops for us on street and traffic stops. Dependable. He really gets the bangers nervous too! They always tell him what he wants to know. Guy's a little loud, but whatever...

FYI, the shades everyone is attacking him about were "issued by the service." They are called 'Bayonets' and are worn by many soldiers and Airforce aviators. They replaced the old birth control glasses that looked like they were made of Coca-Cola bottles. I have a pair myself along with Wiley X's. When I first got on the job, everyone backed everyone else up. It didn't matter if there was 1 car or 10 cars already there. There was sense of brotherhood amongst ourselves. But in the last 5 years, it seems like everyone is only out looking for themselves. I don't know if it has to do with the college requirements or not. The college requirements meant that you had more kids getting hired that had been in a college setting and ha not been in the "real world". They were book smart but street stupid. A lot of the new hires also were from the suburbs where some of the new officers had no idea about what really happened, not what happened on a TV show. A lot of the older guys also retired because they were fed up with either the way the Police Department was going, Daley or just had enough so there was nobody here to school the new guys on the right way to do things; i.e. back up each other, go on all assist the police calls if available..
To the officer in 009, if I had been in the district and saw you by yourself, I definitely would have stopped and assisted you, not interrupted what you were doing, but had your back. It only takes one asshole to think he can f**k with the police and then the whole group would join in.
F**K those alleged officers who saw you 99 with all those guys and didn't get their lazy asses out of their car.
