More WMD's in Iraq

Thank goodness for Fox News - otherwise, the main stream media and the democratic party would still be sitting on this info and trying to slap around the Administration with baldfaced lies.
  • WASHINGTON -— The United States has found 500 chemical weapons in Iraq since 2003, and more weapons of mass destruction are likely to be uncovered, two Republican lawmakers said Wednesday.
  • Reading from a declassified portion of a report by the National Ground Intelligence Center, a Defense Department intelligence unit, Santorum said: "Since 2003, coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent. Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq's pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist."
  • The weapons are thought to be manufactured before 1991 so they would not be proof of an ongoing WMD program in the 1990s. But they do show that Saddam Hussein was lying when he said all weapons had been destroyed, and it shows that years of on-again, off-again weapons inspections did not uncover these munitions. Hello? Lefty? Democrats? Material Breach. Trigger for war. Violation of MULTIPLE UN Resolutions. 500 devices and more bound to be located. Your serving of crow is fresh, hot and waiting. Dig in!

and the rest of the story.........

Offering the official administration response to FOX News, a senior Defense Department official pointed out that the chemical weapons were not in useable conditions.

"This does not reflect a capacity that was built up after 1991," the official said, adding the munitions "are not the WMDs this country and the rest of the world believed Iraq had, and not the WMDs for which this country went to war."

rightwing nuts, at it again

just wondering, Who's official administration, was responding to FOXNEWS.............

As stated before, this announcement from "leftisthebest" brought to you by the Goalpost Movers Local #137.

Nice try again. Too bad Nexis searches and FoxNews give lie to everything you say. Any chance you remember what the meaning of "is" is?

Every time a republican is in error, we're expected to drop everything and stare in horror at the failure of a human being. Every time a leftist is caught in a whopper, it's "Let's move on, nothing to see here."

War in Iraq
Recovered WMD made before '91 are ineffective

June 23, 2006

Two lawmakers -- Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) and House Intelligence Chairman Peter Hoekstra (R-Mich.) -- circulated a one-page summary of a military intelligence report that says coalition forces have recovered about 500 munitions with mustard or sarin agents, and more could be discovered around Iraq. ''We now have found stockpiles,'' Santorum asserted.

But intelligence officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the subject's sensitive nature, said the weapons were produced before the 1991 Gulf War and there is no evidence to date of chemical munitions manufactured since then. They said an assessment of the weapons concluded they are so degraded that they couldn't now be used as designed.

He said experts on Iraq's chemical weapons are in ''almost 100 percent agreement'' that sarin nerve agent produced from the 1980s would no longer be dangerous.

''It is less toxic than most things that Americans have under their kitchen sink at this point,'' Kay said.

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said: ''They are weapons of mass destruction. They are harmful to human beings. And they have been found.''

DUH!!!!!!
