Giving it Away

Man, the Sox just keep making it harder on themselves. No joy in Mudville this weekend.

The Sox have caught Cub-itis
While they were really good last year and a little lucky, they aint the 1927 Yankees.
They will be playing golf in October while the Tigers are in the playoffs

I say "It ain't over til it's over!" The Sox sill have a chance to pull this thing off. And even if they don't, we as Sox fans can still say it's been one hell of a season. The Sox have been FUN to watch. They've made baseball exciting here in Chicago.(At least on the south side.)And even if they don't win the division or the pennant, I unlike most Cubs fans can say I've seen my team win a World Series. Until the north siders stop going to Wrigley to watch that trainwreck they call a major leauge team, they'll always be found uttering that familiar phrase;"WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR."

WHITE SOX= ONE HIT WONDERS.
I can't wait until next year when their attendance heads back into the toilet and makes the traffic even lighter. ha-ha, you know it's true!

hey 0851
while I dont dispute the fact that my Cubbies are awful,
You look like a goof spelling LOSERS with two O's
It is subject to debate whether FUCKIN' is spelled with an E or with an apostrophe to indicate the absence of a G

The Sox are still contenders, reigning world champs by the way. Thanks, Ozzie.

A lot of idiot cub fans will come on the blog and say, "wait till Sosa comes back!"

Thanks for correcting the Canaryville sect of this department with their spelling errors.

Correct spelling/grammar:

"looser" - what I'd like my pants to be after "losing" 10 lbs.

Well, we got one more championship than you Cub fans do!

How many do your Cubs have in the past 100 years???

ZERO!!!!!!

And of course we won't be going to games next season. That's what forces them to play better. We don't pay good money to watch LOSERS like your hapless, limp-dicked, last place Cubbies! You people would go to Wrigley if the Cubs management put 9 billy goats on the field.... which would probably be an improvement, come to think of it.

o yeah a bitter sweet week for me....not only did frank thomas pretty much destroy the sox, but magglio ordonez homers not once but twice!!!!i love it. kenny williams deserves it!his first mistake was the thome trade not only did he replace the big hurt frank thomas with thome he took on his 11 million dollar contract. thomas making 500 thousand put up better numbers! with that trade he lost a team leader aaron rowand! he was loved by the fans and loved in the clubhouse! no loyalty whatsoever. then he doesnt trade for one of the best hitters in baseball....all washington wanted was mccarthy for him! so here are kenny williams key mistakes.
1. letting thomas go
2. trading there leader rowand
3. getting a overpaid loser in thome what has he done?
4. not getting soriano
5.and last he lets fu%&^n ozzie run his mouth...geez how many times can that guy put his foot in his mouth?

The Cubs are the worst run franchise in all of baseball. Between Jim Hendry and Dusty Baker, they have totally ruined that team. Baker's clueless use of his pitchers destroyed Kerry Wood and Mark Pryor, Nomar Garciparra went to the Dodgers and regained his mojo, and Corey Parrerson went to Baltimore, where they have coaches and a manager who know how to motivate and teach, and now is becoming the star that he should have been for the Cubs. The list goes on and on, but it is not all Dusty Bakers fault, Hendry and McPhail and the Tribune have not given him all the tools to work with. So all of you Cub fans that are taking delight in the fall of the White Sox, just remember I would rather have Ozzie and Kenny Williams any day over the incompetence of Baker and Hendry. Plus, the White Sox will make adjustments and be back next year, where the Cubs won't win another World Series for 100 more years.

All ragging and kidding aside, everyone say a prayer for Derek Lee and his three year old daughter who is very ill. Even though I'm a Sox fan,I Still think Lee is a good guy,a great athlete, and a class act. My prayers go out to him and his family. He and Zambrano are some of the few bright spots on that team.

To 08:01:16 I agree with you about Derek Lee and I pray that his daughter will make a full recovery. As for Zambrano he is far and away their best pitcher, but is a big time head case. Don't be suprised if in the future when things don't go his way they have to put the net over him like Jimmy Piersall.

For all you knuckleheads criticizing Kenny Williams,I'll take him over Andy McPhail anyday. For all his faults,he did one thing that no one in the Cubs front office could do; BUILD A WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM!!

To 9/18/2006 10:53:32 PM,

Nine billy goats on the field? No I wouldn't come to see the Cubs if you southsiders would shame your wives ang put them on display like that! Of course the goats are probably prettier than most south side women.

Frank Thomas hasn't done shit for the Sox in the past few years.

Watch for Big Frank to renogotiate a huge salary increase based on this year's numbers and then spend 2/3 of next season on the DL list. That's been his history and a leopard can't change his spots. You'd know that if you knew his history, but your opinion is based on your ignorance of the facts.

Getting Thome was brilliant! He's a few years younger and a "team player" who will play though an injury whenever he can. Frank Thomas is a big crybaby who rides the DL list for months whenever he can. Good riddance!!!

The SOX may not be this years WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS as they were last year but they are still an exciting team to watch and they have brought major league baseball back to Chicago. And they do have one thing that the Cubs will never have and thats a WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP ring on their fingers.

Hey Cub Fans ,
Have a nice day in "LAST" place at the end of the season. You will be there again next year and the year after. Let's face it, the Cubs "SUCK" period !!!!!!!

Hey 8:54:59-
It appears that you didn't get it the first time it was explained to you (courtesy of 6:17:33)...it's spelled "LOSERS"...NOT "LOOSERS"...geez, talk about a loser...oh yeah, you're a Sox fan.

They attack the neighborhood, the stadium, the team colors, the spelling of some of the fans. They make jokes about the SOX fans themselves insinuating that they are all somehow related, they attack everything and anyone connected to the SOX. Thats because they can't attack the team itself because they know that the SOX are heads above the Flubs. Typical childish BS from a group of losers. (Did I spell everything correctly)?
