What's Really Going on Here?

Trust the government to run a study for two whole years and decide that it knows just about as little as it did when it started:
  • The FBI failed to fully investigate information suggesting other suspects may have helped Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols with the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, allowing questions to linger more than a decade after the deadly attack, a congressional inquiry concludes.

The House International Relations investigative subcommittee will release the findings of its two-year-review as early as Wednesday, declaring there is no conclusive evidence of a foreign connection to the attack but that far too many unanswered questions remain.

The subcommittee's report will conclude there is no doubt McVeigh and Nichols were the main perpetrators, and it discloses for the first time that Nichols confirmed to House investigators he participated in the robbery of an Arkansas gun dealer that provided the proceeds for the attack.
The FBI is a mediocre police agency at best. Counter Intel? Semi-adequate. Tracking down financial dealings and paper trails? Good job. But actually doing police work? They leave a lot to be desired.

This is one of those times. Just from what we've read on our own or learned about at various training sessions we've attended, the questions the Feebs should have been asking and the clues they should have been following up on never received a proper airing out. And their best witness to the entire event went to the death chamber a mere three months before 9/11. We don't think this makes us some wild eyed conspiracy nutcase, but rather coppers who see a bunch of things that don't seem to add up and who desire a more thorough accounting of everything that happened that day. And this two year investigation doesn't do it.

Don't kid yourself, OK city was the workings of two individuals who were fully backed by terrorists of which we are still entangeld. Timmy and Terry got their ANFO idea from AQ's finest. Speaking of finest...some examples of the FBI being super cops: Timmy was grabbed by a State Trooper but the Feds are pictured walking him out of the station and into custody. The same is true of Eric Rudolph (the Olympic bomber), who was nabbed by a PPO. The Feds watch our NCIC inquirees very closely. They also, without prejudice, take all the credit for our hard work.
If that isn't exemplary then honor knows no face.

As a former copper and long time Feeb, you are correct in saying that when it comes to police work, the Feebs leave alot to be desired. However, when it comes to corruption and white collar work, no one does it better. I'd go back to police work in a second but the paycheck and travel is too good!

One needs to keep in mind that they are called the FB"I" [investigation]for a reason. Most of them possess degrees in law, accounting etc. and while making good bean counters they still need to know how to be the FB"P" [police]
The FBI has continually sent law enforcement members through their National Academy for a good reason. It's called networking. They maintain a list of their graduates and use their expertise and resources as necessary.
The FBI has more oversight from the US Attorney than we do by Felony Revue before bringing about any charges. They are met with the resposibility of the "I" in FBI, the Investigation.
While they have the time, knowledge and tools** to investigate white collar and organized crime, real every day violent crime is best left up to the experts that know or deal with the 'players' day-in and day-out...the REAL PO-LICE.
When they need our expertise they call. Every big city has an FBI Task Force of sort in which the local police team up with the FBI as a 1-2 punch.
[Give me an ol' time big city homicide dick any day]

** tools = Can you imagine if WE had a charge of "Lying to the Chicago Police!!!" Bwaaahahahaha!

Do you know how to get a retired FBI Agent off your front porch?

FBI can't handle white collar stuff either....what takes years to investigate with the feds and the US attnys can be done in half the time with local/state law enforcement and prosecution.

Timmy and Terry got their ANFO idea from a book called the "Turner Diaries". A book all law enforcement should be familiar with...

"The Third Suspect" by Jayna Davis is a very good book about the Oklahoma City bombing. There were connections with Al Qaeda and the Iraqi Mukhabarat that were never fully investigated by the FBI.
