Daley Confident

And why shouldn't he be? He has two no name, no chance people running against him. OK, Dorothy Brown isn't exactly no name, but she's a machine creation, brought in to dilute the earlier attempts by Gutierrez and Jackson Jr. to actually run an alternate choice that might have a chance (not that either one of them were any great shakes anyway).

Dorothy Brown has a point though:
  • The torture lawsuit, which is about to be settled for nearly $15 million dollars, is another example of what Daley's opponents are calling the "corruption tax" that city residents have to pay. Other examples include a $10 million settlement this week in another police misconduct case, 40 million in the hired truck scandal, and a $100 million minority contract scam perpetrated by the Duff family, longtime friends of the mayor.

"People should realize that enough is enough," said Dorothy Brown, Candidate for Mayor.

Enough should be enough, but the bar is set so high as to discourage someone who could actually make a difference from even starting the paperwork to explore a candidacy.

…from the police department to the Mayor’s office—did their utmost to sweep these crimes under the rug.

---------------

No one in the media noticed, that in Dorothy Brown's official web-site links to a web-site that is named "Revolution" and that's goal is to impose communism in the United States. Is this treason?

Barring death or an Act of God, corrupt Daley will be reelected in a landslide.

Make a statement! The write-in touch screen process is simple. Use the alphabetical keys and print in:

PATRICK J. FITZGERALD

For the three other offices, consider printing in:

MICHAEL L. SHAKMAN

Miriam Santos will endorse Dorothy Brown on Sunday.
She protected our pensions from the guy on the fifth floor, and PAID THE PRICE!
Dorothy Brown is not anti-police, she's anti-Daley. Guess what? I'm anti-Daley and I'm voting for Dorothy Brown.

Since we're on the topic, for those of you in Doherty's (41st) ward, please punch #54 for Don Markham. Don is a CPD sergeant and a good guy. He'd make a pretty good alderman.

His website is http://www.donmarkham4alderman.com

Doherty has the Daley machine behind him, Don's got nothing but us.

Please consider it.

Why did the FOP endorse Zalewski over Maida? So much for backing our own.

Letter today from Zalewski said he lobbied for a re-alignement of the districts so we can have more coverage ion the SW side. It also had a lot of officers names listed on the left side. Recognized several of the names. Must be coppers who like to drink with him on Archer Ave.

Dont know Maida but I will make a guess and say he wont show up drunk/half-in-the-bag/breath stinking at a beat meeting in 008.

Chuck you got 2 votes from this house.

Now who to vote for in the Mayors race?

Daley will win, but if he gets our votes there is no reason for him to treat us any better.

Voting for Daley says that we agree to shit canning our medical and retirement benefits.

Screw Daley and any sitting alderman.

Voting against them it is your only voice. Brown is run by Eugene Pincham, so vote for Walls.

Why should anyone vote for a candidate because he/she is or was the police? Think about it, most of the people you know on this department are either mentally deficient or mentally ill. The rest are corrupt liars and thieves. You know as well as I do that this is true, thanks to this department's non-existent hiring standards.

Dorothy Brown is anti police! There is no election in November. If by some chance Daley did not get 50% + 1 of the vote, the election would be in April, between him and the next runner up. Same for aldermanic candidates.

CHUCK MAIDA VS. Zalewski

Letter today from Zalewski said he lobbied for a re-alignement of the districts so we can have more coverage ion the SW side.

Zalewski has been an alderthiefin slimeball mutant for years. Only now he thinks of this coverage thing. This goes to show you a blatant disregard for the people of his ward that are mostly city working tax payers. Also remember the Theives all vote for their own pay raises (last two were huge) no long negoiations with the city.

Z= ZERO changes for the ward, another company vote for Daley, and more theft from the tax payers.

Vote Maida.

Why vote for any alderman because they were the police, Burke claims to have been the police. I don't see him leading a crusade to restore our medical bebefits or get us proper equipment and training.

And why vote for Ex-cop and Ex-con Virgil Jones.

I don't think that it would be possible for a good honest cop to get elected alderman. And to get appointed alderman by Richie is making a deal with the devil.

On a related matter, how did Rahm Emmanuel get my email address. I don't open them I just "junk" them. Recently I did get another one of those glossy, full color vote-for-me mailings from him. What was unusual was that it wasn't printed and mailed at taxpayer expense.

Who wrote this? Why would this qualify for making an alderman?

I have known of Don for years being that I am also a police officer for the city but never knew him. I had the opportunity to really get to know him last summer as he volunteered to coach the 8 year old all-star team at Oriole Park. His tireless effort and dedication to not only the children but to the families involved is what made me realize that Don was not volunteering to help only his child, but was genuinely interested in the baseball program as a whole and the development of the children involved. I have never been involved in political campaigns before and never placed a sign on my lawn for any candidate. I have made the exception this time as I see in Don the kind of man that I would be proud to say is my Alderman, Neighbor and Friend.
