SecondCityDick Missing in Action
The SecondCityDick.blogspot website is gone. Missing. Kaput.
We hope it's just a case of their people getting fed up or tired of attempting to maintain a site and not something sinister like the old SCCN bulletin board that was shut down after R.M.G. sued the webmaster.
It's always interesting to read and get the different views like SecondCitySarge and the two dispatcher blogs we have listed in the side bar. We're still hoping that someone starts up the SecondCity Lieutenant, SecondCity Captain or SecondCity Exempt blogspot sites one of these days.
In the meantime, a moment of silence for a fallen blog.

I heard it was the alleged dick from B & A (M.P.)that shut em down. A beefing, crybaby,puke!!
I did like SCD's death charge w/putting those bosses pictures up there. Kinda like charging a machine gun nest w/just a knife. Al queda would be proud!! I just hope THEY are female & virgins..

He/she/they probably just don't have the patience that you do SCC.

SCC, don't ever expect to see a secondcityExempt. It will never happen. Most of them are far to busy to keep up a blog on what little personal time they can scrounge up. I have no doubt it's difficult enough for most of them just to keep up with spouses, significant others, children, and other family.
It was still up yesterday afternoon with an open thread. I hope it comes back.

THANK YOU to the dicks who worked on the Racquel Vasquez hit and run case. I just found out this morning the man was caught. Stolen vehicle out of Summit. Now, let's hope we catch the person who killed Officer Vazquez. GOD BLESS

Don't have enough hair for gel to make any difference. But we've been here for almost two years now and we just got banned by the Department this month. So either were making someone uncomfortable or were ticking off the people in power. Regardless, we could walk away tomorrow and still be impressed with what we accomplished with a few friends, a bit of time and almost no money.

They probably took a pay off. Our wonderful department is starting their own blogspot. It is called checkerboard. The only difference is all comments will be edited by Pat Camden and you can access it from department computers. In other words, your comments will be critiqued, altered and cleverly reveiwed to only include what is deemed acceptable exchange of information.
It killed secondcitydick, but I think the real target was scc. :-)

Nooo, you can't jump from Patrolman to Lt. But you CAN jump from patrolman to EXEMPT...especially if your "friend" is the SUPT! And it won't matter if you've never (1) EVER been in a supervisory position, (2) NEVER took a Sgt. exam, or (c) NEVER actually finished high school, OR even attended college, because, as we've recently seen, (d) as long as the "soup" has your back, you will be propped up in the seat of power until father time forces you to leave. And even THEN, when age forces you out, you can "miraculously" RISE FROM RETIREMENT INTO THE "OH, BUT WE STILL NEED HIS/HER SKILLS RANKS!" Heck, you can even be made a civilian "SUPERVISOR" over people who do a job YOU NEVER DID!! People skills be damned!!
But the REST OF YOU better get those college credits, attend those study groups, etc!!!
I predict that in the near future, there will be a "retired/civilian" wing on the fifth floor, and there will likely be very little available office space!!
