A Sad Day

Over 230 years since we threw off the chains of living under an unelected king, taxation without representation and the severe curtailing of civil rights, and we still have to put up with this:
  • Daley and the city's 50 aldermen were sworn in Monday afternoon at City Hall.
Revolution anyone?

I watched WGN this AM and listened to all the new aldernuts proclaim their independence. Then the goofy reporter said their hard work is just beginning and the aldernuts were ready. Ready for what? Genuflecting and kissing the mistletoe? That was 12 hours ago and I'm still laughing.

I've got the tea, the feathered caps, the war paint and rickety boat. All we need is a slot on the Pier and some positively motivated rebels to dump the tea, circle the wagons and rustle the cage a tad.

You asked for a revolution...you got it!!!

Were a disgrace: to the men & women
that fought the revolution against the KING, the citizens that fought the Civil war, and to the generation(s)that fought Hitler and stood up to Stalin/Kremlin.
Were a disgrace in that we tolerate
this city/county/state goverment and that were not willing to get bloody
to change it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUCKINGHAM PALACE, LONDON U.K.

Her Majesty has received your petition requesting that Great Britain regain soverignty over parts of the United States, namely Chicago.

At this time We decline your most thoughtful petition.

As we understand it, the area is currently ruled by the House of Daley with Richard II on the throne.

While admittedly, We come from a long line of tyrants, mentals, and even assorted morons We do not wish to be associated with the House of Daley and it's mad king.
