County Efficiency

  • A mystery is ongoing at the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office: the body of a woman who died last Friday is missing.

The funeral home hired by the family of Rosalie Schultz went to the medical examiner's office today to pick up the woman's remains. After several hours of waiting, officials there told the funeral director they could not find Schultz's body.

The director says understaffing could be to blame for the mix-up.

Understaffing. Great. Someone call the Toddler so he can hire another relative at six-figures to keep track of the dead. Fortunately, there is a solution on the horizon:
  • The director apologized for the mix up and promised the Schultz family a replacement dead body of equal or greater emotional value as soon as one became available.
Ok, we made that last part up.

You're just being silly. Don't you know the Toddler is having some mysterious surgery and will be gone for the next three weeks. I know! He's getting a brain transplant. How silly to think he could worry about dead bodies at a time like this.

OFF TOPIC:

See how felony review screw us over & over. Abbate get raked over the coals because his actions were caught on videotape but in the SunTimes today is a story about the attack on a Des Plaines police officer and his girlfriend but felony review refused felony charges because...

>>Prosecutors said the case did not meet the requirements for the various types of felony batteries.

Miller was not charged with felony aggravated battery, a separate offense, because the couple were not injured severely enough, Darren O'Brien said. Bueno required three stitches to his nose, and Inserra needed four stitches to the corner of her eye. Bueno may have suffered broken ribs, too, police said.

A third option would have been to seek the more serious charge because of the location, but prosecutors said that did not apply, either

Theoretically, could it have been an aggravated battery in a public way? I suppose so," O'Brien said. "But then, every street fight in Chicago would be an aggravated battery in a public way."

Police sources said they think prosecutors are guilty of a double standard. They pointed to the case prosecutors brought this year against off-duty Chicago cop Anthony Abbate. He was charged with felony aggravated battery in a public way for beating a female bartender in a bar. She was not seriously injured.

But O'Brien said he is comfortable with his decision. "We have discretion. ... It's no different from judgment calls I make every day," he said.<<

The woman in the Abbate case was not bruised or injured at all, but these people get injured then get screwed, I think we should go after felony charges against every bar fight and when they don't get approved, drop a dime to our enemy, the media. That's the only way the states attorney's office does anything is when they are called on the carpet.

Hopefully an override was called in and approved. Anyone familiar with the case care to comment?

THIS ALSO OFF TOPIC:

Why I'll never respect Jesse Jackson & will think of him as a piece-of-shit until the day his body becomes lost at the Cook County Medical Examiners Office.

Why can't those who elevate him to almost mythical status see it too?

Here is my beef. Since the Blair Holt killing he (Jesse) has been everywhere there is a T.V. camera, pushing over others, to be front and center. (Just as he's done for the last 30+ years)

All we heard was the Jesse chorus singing STOP THE KILLING, SNUFF THE GUN DEALERS, TAKE AWAY GUNS,THEY'RE KILLING OUR KID'S,(never identifying who THEY(?)are) blah, blah, blah..

Typical Jesse speak. NOW fast forward a few weeks to the present.

He has announced he is opening an affiliate chapter of PUSH in Elgin, IL. to address allegations of POLICE BRUTALITY and to spotlight racial inequality.

Then he references tensions between the community and the Police Department which bubbled over in March after Police raided a couple's home looking for..get this SSC..are you ready?..A HANDGUN (gasp!) supposedly beloging to their grandson (more then likely a gang member)who lived there.

The city later paid for damage to the couples home. Well guess what?.. CPD also has a city # people can call to also get their doors fixed.

An outside consultant hired by the City of Elgin, to look at the Police Department practices examined their conduct and concluded the raid was handled correctly.

But you see, Jesse likes to spew SHIT from both sides of his mouth. He brings this incident up to incite his followers to action, knowing the media won't print the whole story or bury it in the middle of the paper near the cattle futures index (where it will only be seen by business suit types..who couldn't be bothered by it because they already know he is full-of-shit!)

What do you want from us Jesse? One moment you ask that we stop the killing..the very next moment you decry stop the police brutality (when they are attempting to remove a gun from a young adult)

The shame is Jesse, that someday one of the biggest genocide's in history won't be from SLAVERY..It will be from the young african-american males, in America's urban areas KILLING EACH OTHER!

Guess what hypocrite? I don't care for RAP music..but when that is happening full-tilt maybe I'll write a Country/Western Song about it.

Maybe I'll name it- "JESSE..THE SELF-SERVING..Piece-of-shit..HATING..FOOL!"

IRONICALLY, on the same page of the newspaper, a small blurb, that's very hard to even see (I almost missed it) "2 in Elgin accused of theft, resisting cops"

Go ahead now Jesse those two are waiting and need your help!

Go ahead and lead more boycotts against companies deemed unresponsive to Rainbow/Push demands.People who have done less are in prison for extortion!

Good reads: a book called "Shakedown" about the whole Jesse Jackson criminal empire.

Also Google: Rev.Jesse Lee Patterson who speaks out about what a fraud Rev. Jackson is. As a result he has been sued by Jesse Jackson and his big cannon donors for years bankrupting Patterson. Jesse even tried to buy the other Reverends silence. It's an interesting saga!

Double standard SCC? Fuck this ASA O'Brien! Anyone know him?

-----------------------------------

Chicago Police officials are angry that prosecutors refused last week to pursue a felony battery charge against a man accused of beating an off-duty suburban cop and his girlfriend.

Des Plaines Officer John Bueno and girlfriend Sheila Inserra were attacked May 13 outside a Northwest Side bar, police said. The Cook County state's attorney's office is pursuing a misdemeanor battery charge against Edward Miller, 21, of the 6800 block of North Osceloa.

Prosecutors said the case did not meet the requirements for the various types of felony batteries.
They decided not to charge Miller with felony aggravated battery of a police officer because Bueno was off duty and not acting in his official capacity, said Darren O'Brien, a supervising prosecutor.

"He's a boyfriend who's defending his girlfriend," O'Brien said.

Miller was not charged with felony aggravated battery, a separate offense, because the couple were not injured severely enough, O'Brien said. Bueno required three stitches to his nose, and Inserra needed four stitches to the corner of her eye. Bueno may have suffered broken ribs, too, police said.

A third option would have been to seek the more serious charge because of the location, but prosecutors said that did not apply, either.

Where I come from stitches and visible injuries are great bodily harm. I'm sure if the same happened to Darren there would be felony charges. I'm sure if the cop was arrested he would have been charged with Agg Batt. The States Attorney's Office is not our friends and will throw you under the bus. We are Guilty until proven innocent.

The rest of the districts are just bad mouthed by salty goofs who are resistant to change. Just look at the bids every month, the places with multiple openings each and every month are probably bad places to be, not just because of the animal on the street, but also the drama occurring within the district walls.

I believe the election was stolen from Claypool, not Peraica.

If Stroger Uncle had "resigned" before the primary, Claypool would have been the Dem running. Stroger Uncle was already comotose BEFORE that primary and should never have been on the ballot to begin with. His handlers likely had his resignation statement prepared before the primary.

If he'd been off the ballot, or if even the truth were known, Claypool would have taken the primary, and then would have won.

But that didn't happen, and so his anointed heir will get to convalesce on the taxpayers' money, after giving him a chance to put all his relatives and cronies on the payroll at outrageous salaries.

We need an election law that disqualifies anyone from becoming a candidate who has incapacitating health problems.

Don't think the Repugs would do any better- look at George Ryan, look at the Shrub and all the "lost" emails and war profiteering.

They're all alike.
