Beyond the Pale

Over at SecondCitySarge, they've got a link up to the entire Criminal Complaint for US v Finnigan.

You want to feel like you've been kicked in the gut, read the entire thing. It reads like all the transcripts you see when various Outfit connected persons are caught on tape preparing to trunk someone.

What the hell is happening?

looking for a hitman who would be more affordable.

What's happening is that there are corrupt cops.

There are also corrupt priests, lawyers, politicians, lawyers, did I mention politicians, and grocery store clerks.

The department will survive this. The NYPD and LAPD have had scandals that make this stuff look like shoplifting condoms at KMart.

As SCC had said before if it doesn't belong to you don't take it.

These guys are scum. They aren't the first to carry a badge and they won't be the last.

Just do your job and make sure you go home at the end of a shift.

Make sure your fellow cops end the shift unhurt. Try to make a small positive difference by helping the decent folks we encounter.

In the end that is all we can do until we collect a pension.

If you do that then you will have 'served'.

Not until we hire qualified personnel and have a legitimate promotional process. We won't be able to hire the best until we get rid of residency. Just like public school teachers. No one from outside wants or can afford to live here, so we are stuck in a cycle of hiring leftovers and promoting neighborhood friends.

Something most people might not care about, but interesting to me: apparently all it takes for the FBI to gain jurisdiction these days is a cell phone call.

From the PDF:
"the issuance of a complaint ... using and causing the use of a facility of interstate commerce, namely a cellular telephone" [!]

The balance of power between federal and state government has swung very, very far to the federal side these days.

In some (but certainly not all) cases, the Disability Pension Roll is one big scam. Once they're on Disability, the Pension Board never looks at them again and they're beyond the reach of the IAD. The Pension Board will never give you (or the press) a list of who's on Disability. Just too embarrassing..... and it's OUR money.

I know that the recent events revolving around JF seem unbelievable, but they are not. This is right on par with City of Chicago Business as usual. Remeber Marcos down in Mexico who was going to testify against Pucillo (streets&San)left to Mexico because of the threat on his life? What is the difference here? What a City Administration practices will be emulated by the very employee's of the same MUNINCIPALITY. JF was gonna have 4 witnesses killed and the city was gonna have one witness killed, it's the same thing but different city departments. Daley holds the bag on all of this.

Sorry for all you conspiracy theorists but, Area4 did have someone in custody for the murder of the P.O. from SOS, he was released without charging after the State wouldn't approve, they wanted more evidence and time ran out. Well not enough evidence to charge the guy, so guy's out and nobody else has been implicated. JF was trying to hire a hitman for the witnesses against him. What makes you think the guy that got off because of the dumbass ASA's wasn't hired? I would say if nobody's in jail for the crime, it went, as JF stated "No complaints about the work"

Speaking of cowards.....It takes a lot of balls to accuse two people and not leave your name. If it is so important to you, confront them about your issue. I no longer tell anyone I am the police. I welcome a Federal takeover. Never has it been more needed than now.

The bosses are powerless to do anything yet they still trot out phony bullshit inspectors making over $100k a year with a take home car to make sure we buckle our seatbelts and wear our vests.

This department is a miserable bad joke on the public, they pay hundreds of millions for lazy corrupt motherfuckers to drive around looking for their next discounted meal.

How sure are you? Commander is aware of every CR# and yet the former SOS commander killed numerous complaints against a few officers. The pattern was very obivious, especially court deviations for narcotic cases. It took the ASA to complain and then IAD ignored the pattern. Clout covered the criminal actions of a few officers. The system works if management follows the rules.

Its pretty safe to say that these guys touched a supervisor at some point through both money and good numbers. How high the rank ???? but to think nobody had any idea what they were up to is a joke. Time will tell if the FBI figures out who. Its still doesnt change the shit sandwich we are all taking a bite from in this aftermath. I wish this story would just stop. The more that is uncovered the more shit we have to deal with on many different levels. Us non robbing police are getting fucked with the new rules and the public bullshit. If the word hit that sups were involved with this it would just give more fuel to the hate the police fire. Dump the dirty boss or bosses to mids on a watch or force to retire and never let this shit happen agian. For those who say they should pay if there are dirty sups. Then start at the top and go to city hall even SCC said it "the Daley crime syndicate has been stealing more money in crooked land deals, rigged construction contracts, false minority fronts and who knows how else for years and their grand total is going to be probably 1,000 times higher than what Finnigan and his cohorts got?". So whats to gain from finding more dirt for us the clean P.O. working through this messed up time in CPD?
