Ryan to Prison - Almost

  • Former Gov. George Ryan was ordered Friday to start serving a 6 1/2-year prison sentence in less than two weeks but his lawyers held out hope they could keep him out of prison pending a U.S. Supreme Court appeal.
  • George Ryan's legal team will be asking the U.S. Supreme Court, which turns down 99 of every 100 requests to consider a case, to put this one on the docket because the legal issues are so important.
This scumbag and bottom feeder had the audacity to claim that because he has 17 grandchildren, he ought to be allowed a bail extension and not go to prison.

If his office wasn't taking bribes, putting unlicensed truckers on the road and then splitting the money with his political campaigns, how many grandchildren would Mr. and Mrs. Willis have today if 6 of their children hadn't burned to death 13 years ago and instead lived to marry and raise their own families? Fuck you George Ryan - rot in hell you pandering asshole.

Funny how, other than Jim Thompson - his lawyer, not one Republican I have heard says anything about letting Ryan go or the injustice and political "injustice" that has transpired....

Have you ever heard of a case where a "Democrap" has been indicted or prosecuted and everyone on the house and Senate floor that are Democraps have come to media with tears for the wrongly accused/convicted vowing to fight tooth and nail to free the innocent politico?

Yea, didn't think so. FUCKING CRIMINALS....

Dear SCC:

May I say, in my many years of elected office, I performed my duties as I swore to for each office.

Surely getting a free lunch here and there, finding a pretty escort woman sometimes in my hotel room from a friendly lobbyist, having some friends give cash envelopes that I happen to forget to log as political contributions and extending some extra driver license services for a few Christmas dollars isn't very unusual for a person elected in this Great State of Illinois.

Yes, the gambling boats may have gave me some 100 dollar chips instead of one dollar ones by mistake, but who did it hurt?

Yes, the Feds showed the jury that I hardly withdrew a single dollar from 10 years of direct deposits of my government payroll, but I live a simple life without bills.

OK, some kids got burned up in a very bad terrible death due to some CDL driver licenses that may have been gotten by some bad employees who may or may not have been directly related to me and made some contributions to my efforts to run for office.

But can you really name one thing I did illegal or bad that leads to you being justified in being so harsh to me? I think not!

So kindly retreat from your unkind words and maybe look at all the good things I did over the years.

I even freed all those death row inmates you dirty rotten coppers set up and sent to the chair. I was nominated for the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE! I am god damn it, George Ryan, the greatest fricken Governor your ass ever saw! I bet you even voted for my ass.

So now, let us just shake hands like two good men and move on. And there is no way I am serving a day in the big house. I am in poor health, old, grandpa to 17 and can't even get an erection anymore.

Sincerely,

George "Everyone's Pal" Ryan
Former Governor of the Great State of Illinois.

Ryan could have easily avoided all this by not being arrogant. He acted like he did not know about the bribes being taken in the SOS offices, when EVERYBODY knew you could bribe them to get a license. He could have admitted it, did an investigation and corrected the problem, but he thought he was above all that. I am not sorry he is going to prison.

He is no more entitled to an appeal bond than pookie on the corner is. Let him rot in prison.

I still want to know how he, who had an income, money in the bank and a campaign fund he could have tapped (after taxes) is entitled to twenty million dollars in pro bono legal defense tax free.

I thought pro bono was for the good. Yeah, for the good of wealthy politicians.

Ryan's attempt to influence the jury pool out of Chicago by pardoning all of the individuals on death row failed.

I hope that he is Aaron Patterson's room mate for the next 6 plus years.

They deserve each other.

I guess your not a George Ryan fan? Dam, with my investigation skills I should be a merit detective! I figured this out quick! I got the skills and insight they are looking for.

So scumbag George Ryan got to stay out of prison while his case was under appeal. Will the State of Iowa give an innocent MIKE METTE the same?

Last I heard, Michael must surrender to authorities in Dubuque Monday morning.

This is surreal.

Check out John Kass' column entitled "Self-defense is, inexplicably, no defense" in tomorrow's Sunday Tribune.

It's already up on the Internet at www.ChicagoTribune.com

This is why Daley will nevr go to jail. The best, most connected laywers the tax payers and campaign contributors can buy. Judges who got their jobs becasue of the machine. It will never happen and the Feds know it. They don't like taking on losers any more than our ASA's do.

Yesterday, I read in the newspaper that the investigator into the license for bribes investigation on Ryan's watch whom Ryan fired, a guy who's name I can't remember, made it his business to recently drop by and ring Ryan's doorbell. Then this guy asked Ryan for an apology to himself, another investigative work associate looking in to the Willis crash that Ryan dumped mid- investigation and and an apology for the Willis family and what does Ryan tell the man? He says to him, "I got screwed."

That is so typical of an economic and power hungry sociopath, criminal turd like Ryan.

I'm still very skeptical he's actually going spend any time in Jail. I hope I'm wrong.

If he hopefully does go in, does he have to do at least 85 percent of his time? When does the clock start, from the time he was convicted or the time the shitbird ( love that term) walks in to jail?

Former Illinois Govenor Dan Walker living in Escondito, CA wrote in the same Sun-Times issue that it is best to put in place preventative measures to keep politicans from being crooks with "Pay to Play" scandals rather then incarcerating people like George Ryan for more then the couple of years Walker feels Ryan should serve because as Walker put it, the crime has already been commited.

That logic is as nutty as a squirrles breakfast and could only come from a crook or senile old buzzard. So, someone starts a huge fire on purpose, destroying lives and property in the plush caynon Walker may live in and Walker seems to be saying, iif caught the arsonist should not go to jail because preventative measures like clearing sagebrush might solve fires from happening and afterall the crime has already been commited?

George Ryan and Dan Walker are opposite ends of the same turd.

Respectfully,
DW
(not a cop)

Big Jim Thompson must be sweating bullets trying to keep his fellow crook, Ryan, out of jail.

Imagine if Ryan decided to tell all!

Thompson would be in the next cell.
