Dumb Habits are Hard to Break

Despite what many liberals and police haters would have you believe, cops don't go to work looking to frame people, shoot altar boys or violate anyone's civil rights. Same goes for those who think that we run around all day with spare dope and a few guns (that we got from the weapon turn-in at the local church), looking for some poor oppressed minority honor roll student to create a felony record on. It just isn't done, mainly because the consequences far outweigh any supposed benefit police may receive. Penalties will be double, triple and worse because we are the police.

Here's another liberal fantasy destroyed - police don't have that many run-ins with decent people. Decent people of any color don't need to call the police for every problem. Decent people raise their kids right, solve their own problems, properly license their vehicles, drive correctly and don't attract attention to their own decency. They live by example. If you're seeing the police or interacting with the police, more often than not something has gone wrong or, to put it quite simply, you've fucked up. Are there exceptions to the rule? Does crap occur and are there bad apples among us? Sure. But they are few and far between (despite media coverage to the contrary). That is why you have civil courts - to right the wrongs.

Why do we bring all this up?
  • Rodney King, whose 1991 beating by Los Angeles police led to deadly rioting the next year, was shot on a street corner but his wounds were not believed to be life-threatening, police said Thursday.
  • King sued the city over the beating and obtained a $3.8 million settlement.

However, he continued to have run-ins with the law. In 2004, he was ordered to spend 120 days in jail and ordered into treatment after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of the drug PCP after he lost control of his SUV in 2003 and slammed into a power pole in Rialto.

A court evidently thought Rodney was wronged back in 1991 and he got $3.8 million - more than enough to live a life of ease and comfort and never have to see a police officer again. Yet Rodney keeps getting into trouble, bringing him into contact with the police over and over and over. Is anyone ever going to say "It's Rodney's fault" or "Rodney is making bad life choices"? Probably not. Why be responsible?

Who else noticed that King was shot while riding his bicycle? Boy, 3.8 million does not go as far as it should nowadays. Damn inflation.

If the people only knew...I heard so many stories before I came to this job. I thought, some were exaggerated. I was wrong, so very wrong. If the public & media only knew what kind of garbage the men & women of any police department deal with. The media & public needs to pull their heads out of the ground and realize there are a lot of bad people who will never change, ever.

Whats a 44 year old doing on a bike, for those who aren't the police (and some of you who are)there is a real good chance he was working a dope spot either as a lookout/security or simply being a mobile thug yelling "rocks or blows!".Shit will always be shit

I stood alone in college in 1991 at UIC stating King was wrong and deserved the beating he got for not obeying a lawfull order. I was right when the courts ruled in the officers favor, inspite of the cry baby CHP officer who cried on the stand and stabbed the other officers in the back. God Bless Sgt. Koone. I believ the book he wrote after serving 5 years made him a millionaire. He's not in the new ever, is he?

This article has been bouncing around my department's email for the past few days I figured it'd be good to post it here.

Funny to hear that there just miiiiight be another side of crime in the US, and that there just miiiiight be other people at fault then just the police.

Even more embarrassing that it had to come from a sports writer. FoxSports

Truth is, you can't find the guy who made that film. He cracked up and ended up in an institution. True fact. He crackerjacked.

Rodney was possibly riding a bike due to no license because of DUI's, however, today in the Times, Mope-rah has the audacity to state that the failure to recruit a minority is astounding and puzzling----Uh, WHY? Shouldn't the most qualified get the position? Evidently The G-Man 'will be just another law and order cop who doesn't have a clue about the circumstances that help turn neighborhoods into killing fields.'

Lordy Mama, where do I start? Well, Chicago has killing fields because of the shitheads, number one. Second, social, ethnic, moral, financial "circumstances" do not matter because breaking the law is breaking the law. I personally don't give a shit if your mama is a crackhead on welfare and didn't love you if you hurt me or my family. The fact that Mope-rah expects ANYONE to be a social worker and try to "understand" why the bangers create havoc on our streets makes me want to vomit. Years ago, there was a standard. You played by the rules and if you didn't you had legal problems AND accepted it. Dear lovely mopheaded Mope-rah, nobody gives a shit why the shitheads do what they do. They are not supposed to do it and the fact that assholes like you and the people that allow this shit to go on in their neighborhoods accept this constant criminal behavior, whether there is some fucked up reason or not, have no right to ask law-abiding citizens to try to understand why the neighborhoods have disintegrated. We know why. We had to move because of it. You fucking make me sick with your whining bullshit. I'm tired of hearing about people like Brookins that don't pay their fucking bills, or Harold Washington who didn't pay his taxes, and Danny Davis, and Beavers who have elevated race baiting to levels unheard of in government and all the rest of them that are making a mockery of every system they have infiltrated.
I'm white. I obey the fucking law. I take care of what I'm supposed to take care of. I pay my bills. I keep up my property and take care of the shit that I own. That's MY culture. Why don't you try and understand that, bitch, instead of asking me to lower myself to your pathetic, dysfunctional, pitiful level.

Read the article and then read between the lines. Daley sucker punched them all this time. "I don't know anything about this guy said the Rev. Jesse Jackson. "I don't know who does." Poor babies. They may actually have to go through professional channels from now on. I think it's pretty obvious that some asses have been leveled and it's about fucking time.
