SCC Comments

Sorry, but as this is our blog, sometimes we like to take a moment or two and address some of the comments. Sometimes, these comments are public and we reply in the relevant comment section. Other times, we delete comments out of hand and get a bunch of grief from the affronted author. Since the readers never see the comment, we note that in our reply. This post covers both types.

First up, whichever piece of human garbage is attempting to blame this blog for the actions of people who are disturbed, distraught or depressed, you're an ass. An ass with an agenda, but an ass no less. Grow up, get a thicker skin. You want to tie in unrelated events and claim bullshit connections to non existent happenings, do it on your own site. We aren't giving you a platform. Hypocrisy, by definition, is saying one thing and doing another. We've been consistent throughout.

Second, who ever is whining about indicted SOS guys getting paying gigs somewhere, go blow. There haven't been any convictions handed down that we've heard of. You got aced out of some sweet side gig, take it up with the security management company you work for. What's that? Side gig paying cash under the table and there's no one to bitch to? Go home junior - we don't owe you a forum for that type of BS.

And finally, a published comment. Or two:
  • For all you who would talk smack and laugh at our efforts to do something positive you can go to hell. This wasn't for the publicity or for the good of the department. It was for our own personal reasons. You trash talking asshats aren't worthy of of being called a public servant. You have a problem with that come see me and we can talk it over in the back lot.
    Bill Schield Sgt TRU
  • Oh and SCC, you have a problem with us I wouldn't mind having a face to face with you either. And for future reference, No! There is nothing that TRU is not capable of doing. Why don't you put down your key board, take some c/u and pop by for roll call and a ride with me and I will show you exactly what it is that we do everyday. It would be my utmost pleasure to take you for a ride. Thanks for trying to make our little endeavor into something other than what it was, something for kids who have nothing.
    Bill Schield Sgt TRU
Sergeant BS, we didn't try to make anything something it wasn't. In fact, judging from the commentary provided by readers and the Sun Times, it would appear that TRU attempted to make this toy give away into something it wasn't - a publicity stunt with "leftover" toys. How else would you describe it, having a lieutenant on scene ready to go and a tame reporter by his side.

After all, we don't see any credit being listed in any of the media about 300 toys being delivered to LaRabida, Shriner's or Rainbow House. And that must have stuck in the craw of more than a few bosses over at that "elite" unit. So why not generate some publicity?

And as to your comment that "No! There is nothing that TRU is not capable of doing" we would point out the following three instances of things that TRU cannot do:
  • eat lunch without congregating
  • process a one bag dope arrest with less than 3 cars
  • take a joke

I witnessed a TRU lunch one evening about a month ago. We were on our way back from a prisoner run and figured might as well grab something good for a change. I noticed the TRU car outside and figured at least its only one. Then while we were being seated I saw probably the TRU officer and the othere was behind the wall which I could not see. I got up to go wash my hands and got a look at the table which the what I thought at first was just 2 turned out to be 3, which I had no problem with, until I saw the other 3 people sitting there. Two of the people a man and woman in their late 50's early 60's and a child around 10. The only thing I could surmise from the table was the 3 TRU officers were eating with one of the officer's parents and probably one of the officer's child. I was instantly embarassed and was thinking I will never go in a place which TRU is at again. I couldn't believe it, does anyone think it is ok to have a family dinner while you are supposed to be at work in a public restaurant, which was packed not one table available?????? I am sure they were together they 6 people all left at the same time and looked like one of the female officers was holding the child's hand. All I can say is it was an embarassment to me and my partner and looked bad on the whole police department.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! SCC Great come back...I love the one about not being able to process a 1 bagger with les than 3 cars!! You can say what you want about SOS and the scandal but we never had to have 3 cars to process a 1 bagger...in fact we would be embarassed to take in a 1 bagger back in the day!! As for the Sgt....wear looser underwear and try decaf...what a nitwit!!

They work shit hours and will back your as up in a N.Y. second.

Wished we hire more of this breed of real police. God bless them and keep them safe.

We can take a joke just fine, we usually laugh our ass off about the nonsense on here over lunch.

TRU IS Useless 8 year and under wonders who cant get 3rd watch on a bid and never had anyone train them on how to do it properly!
Screw your bullshit battalions of rookies who escaped midnights!
Go get another contact card or mover or parker!
WE NEED WORKING POLICE ASSIGNED TO DISTRICT LAW ENFORCEMENT!
We need more working police assigned to the districts! If the district is busy, up the manpower!
WE DON'T NEED A SPECIAL UNIT TO DO POLICE WORK!
Send our MANPOWER back to the districts and DO POLICEWORK!
Take care of your own in-house business in the districts that need it.
BACK TO BASICS POLICEING!
Besides that the only PO's and Sgts goin to TRU are tryin to escape midnights! Or have a phone call!!!

TRU tour of duty:
1800-1830-Roll Call
1830-2000-Lunch
2015-0001-In District
0001-Go back to Unit for Check off
0100-Check off Unless court the next day then you leave 2330 Hrs. You then will leave for check off from deployment zone at 2300 hrs. If you make arrest you go home right after its done. Partner goes home also if they have court or not.

A total of less then 4 hours in a district. Then 3 cars on 1 arrest for a bag of weed.

Put these officers back in a distict and they would all cry like babies. They no longer know how to be the real police.

It is so obviously a publicity stunt. Why else are reporters there watching? I mean, if you were doing it out of the kindness of your heart, then do it without inviting the press. If the press finds out after the fact and decides to cover it, then I would say it was not a publicity stunt.

On the flip side of things, this department needs positive coverage and I welcome anything that portrays us in a positive light, publicity stunt or not. Whether or not we see through it, the majority of the public will not.

Hey SCC, I'm the play daddy of one of the kids who received a present on Christmas from your "elite" TRU unit. The gift was a Junior Westside Tact Starter Kit. Inside was a lil' black hoodie, black ski cap, ripped jeans, and a bag of crack rocks which was marked "use in case of emergency. Also, it had Miracle Ear 3000 which the instructions told me would help me hear all the dope boys yelling "Rocks and blows" to net the most Soliciting Unlawful Bullshit arrests. The best part of all was the lifesize 8X10 photo of my idol, PO Camarillo.

There is so much TRU cannot do. Police work , handling their own C.R.#'s,responding to 10-1's in the district all come to mind.Love when the come into 11 fill up the lockup with 1 baggers. then complain that the other 5 one baggers in front of them are taking to long to get into the lockup. Although they do occasionally respond to a shooting etc it is only to wander through the crime scene and take a looky.I can give you example after example of such behavior sgt so if YOU WANT TO COME TO MY HOUSE AND DISCUSS YOUR UNITS UTTER LACK OF POLICE SKILLS AND CONSTANT VIOLATIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION THEN COME AND SEE ME and yes that means taking off the uniforms and stepping out back. Otherwise STFU and take your political hacks and junior police and go where they are wanted, although I don't know where that would be within the city limits.

The only reason TRU officers will "DO ANYTHING" is that the bossess know they are:

1. too young to realize better

2. usually have no house
mortgage and this job is
still a game to them

3. live their lives bar to bar
every night

4. they believe they are
original and cant comprehend
that thousands of officers
have already done the same
things they take credit for
and demand a Dept.
Commenadation for any and
every law enforcement action
they are involved with.

The sgt's and all of their superv's are all to blame for allowing and encouraging their embarrassing behavior.

Funny story, the other night at the local watering hole a few young buck PO's walk into the bar and order a few drinks. As the night progresses the PO approaches this young women across the bar and proceeds to talk to her. Needless to say the PO beings telling her how he is the police and what dangers entail his every moment at work. The young women asks the PO where he works and he replies TRU. The females response was priceless, she stated " Oh my husband that works in 015 told me thats where they send all the recruits". At that point she turned her back to him and he left hanging his head low. Note to young PO's, its fine to play up the cop angle to land the pretty ladies but when going into a bar where mostly cops hang out assume so of the women there are married to PO's.

To: 12/28- 12:53,

Seriously, you should be in IAD if 2-3 officers were having dinner with a family member, and that upset you. Obviously you ve never worked undercover, or in a Unit, when you have a CI. I m not saying this is the case, but think outside the box for a minute, which sounds like you have a problem doing. Is there a rule which says you can't?? I think not. Is there something wrong with it, NO. Try walking into RJ Grunts on the Northside, and finding the entire resteraunt filled with uniformed and plain clothes Police and Detectives, then I might understand your whining. Even though it still doesn t bother me, but I m not a future IAD rat like you. grow up.

I think the problem with the TRU unit is that when it was formed the only takers were new officers who couldn't get the watch they wanted or on a TAC/GANG team.

They were mainly new officers who seen this as a better option then making their way the old way.

This is just another example of how to screw up manpower.
Districts need bodies in roll call.

Hey people open your eyes. TRU is nothing but a money generating public relations unit like i've never seen before. People wouldn't even coming in on holidays but thats what the lts would let us do. Im in district now and see how beat guys get the shaft cause we are short handed. Cut bqck size of TRU ,we need bodys not some pony show. And for that Sgt talking garbage i worked with him, he would try to boss me around. Lt's little suck ass kiss ass.

Add to the list of things TRU can't do:
* Be professional on the radio: Everything from a foot chase to traffic stops.(Hint yelling doesn't replace enunciation.)
* Fill SOS's shoes
* Drive "to an in-progress call" with the safety of other motorists in mind including your fellow police officers on the street.

It's funny that there are so many negative comments about a unit that statistically has shown a positive impact on the neighborhoods they serve.
Now, before you go whine about seeing several cars having lunch together (that's camaraderie, something you don't see much of any where else), check the crime statistics and you will see that violent crime is reduced when they are deployed. Hey that would even give you the time to go down with an unavoidable traffic stop when the dispatcher tries to give you a job. You can pimp a fellow officer in your district (no camaraderie) and then clear with nothing to show from your unavoidable traffic stop once the job is given to another officer. So for those of you that bitch, I'm sorry that your application was rejected, or you were bounced from the unit for whatever reason. It is truly a nice place to work and those lucky enough to be assigned there are very fortunate. Maybe you should get your facts straight before you open your mouth. If the majority of the people posting on this board did that the credibility of this police department would be much greater. Unfortunately you choose to speak before you think.

Chicago tribune "story comments" are the way to go. There you get to respond to some real police haters. There are a few supporters out there, but there are many more true police bashers.

Comments are posted immediately. Less censorship. More of a national response.

Stop wasting your time reading posts like this one that probably was censored, so you never read it.

Yeap it is true, beat 2423 came over CW2 looking for an evidence technician for a death investigation. He also said there was a knife protruding from her chest. Funny thing at the 5:00am news it was still being reported as a death investigation. It will probably be reclassified in 2008 as a homicide. Next time if a knife is protruding from ones chest cavity make timely notifications to the appropriate area detectives, then wait for the detectives to get on scene and order the crime lab.

I am not sure why TRU is getting all this attention for passing out some toys to kids.

A group of us from the Detective Division got together and purchased over 50 sets of sexy see-through nighties and personally gave them to some down-on-their-luck strippers at a local pole dancing club.

If you could of seen the joy and happiness in these gals eyes, you would of thought we saved their lives. One of the cops I was with even talked them into trying them on to make sure we got them the right sizes. Attention to detail is the key to gifts.

Well I think more of us should do good deeds like we did. I know it brought us and them much Joy!

Work in TRU like anywhere else there are workers, those who think they are workers, those who don't have the experience but do make an honest effort, and of course some guys that don't do a thing, who am i to judge, there are a few guys there who are the real deal, it's not hard to figure out who has been in the shit most of their careers(no not me) but a couple of real good guys and i don't mean just as the police, a few guys who are an asset to the unit/dept.who are at least taking a few of the younger guys under their wings and give them the direction they need/don't have, they could be j o's if they wanted to be but aren't, so please don't judge an entire unit by a few who kinda really don't know any better, and thanks to the more experienced guys who have helped me with certain dilemnas that arise on and off this job.....happy new year

Geez, you guys have been bitching about all the bad press, but when there's a good CPD story you complain because you don't like the unit. Most readers don't know or care what TRU is, so this is a good CPD story. Lie back and enjoy it.

As for the TRU event being a setup for the press...of course it is. That's how you feed stories to the media.

Reporters are lazy. They all want to land the great exclusive story about crime or corruption, but that's hard work, so if their editor want something by tomorrow---and he always does---they'll take what they can get. More to the point, they'll take what you give them.

That story was written by Annie Sweeney. If your district does something as cool as the TRU story, your commander would be a fool not to give her a call in case she needs another story.

Next time you run into a reporter hanging around a crime scene, ask her why the media never writes good stories about CPD. If she's at all good at her job, she'll respond by challenging you on the spot to give her a good story she could write about.

Have one ready.

Or at least ask for her business card. And if you could get in trouble for talking to the media, tell her that so she doesn't accidentally burn you.

I am sure they were together they 6 people all left at the same time and looked like one of the female officers was holding the child's hand. All I can say is it was an embarassment to me and my partner and looked bad on the whole police department.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe they ran into them in the restaurant and told them to join them for dinner? big deal. You never ran into anyone you knew in a restaurant while working and sat down and ate or had coffee with them? get a life already will ya. I work in TRU and I have to say that the Christmas present thing, as far as I know, was not a planned media or publicity event. I also handed out presents on Christmas Eve and I didn't have any reporters following me around. Every member of the unit voluntarily brought in a new toy to be given to needy kids. And yes, the toys handed out were left over from what we donated to the hospitals...so what!? The officers that handed out the toys did so voluntarily. What did any of the districts do?
I don't think and never have thought of TRU as elite or anything special. Just another place to work. A lot of the people there do not beong there and have given the unit a bad name, but there are a lot of good hard-working coppers there. Yes, we eat lunch together as a team at times. It is allowed as we are a team-oriented unit and we also work together as a team on the streets at times. That is the way we were told the unit worked from day one. It has worked so far.
As for the the poster that said we can't even wave back, you can kiss my ass. I have worked in every district in this city since going to TRU over 4 years ago, and I have to say that in almost every district that we are deployed, the beat cars just drive past us while we are on stops, they give us dirty looks and make smart-ass comments to us in the station, the desk crew give us a hard time, the lock-ups pass up our prisoners to take the distict officers prisoners making us wait in excess of an hour at times, and they generally treat us like shit...everywhere. But we keep our mouths shut and keep working. We don't get to work where we want, only where we are sent. So we go where we are told to go. So if you don't like us in your district, tell the bosses and maybe we can get sent somewhere nice to work.
And I personally wave to every police car that passes and seldom get a wave back. I respond to all in-progress calls within my deployment area to back up the beat officers, while they just drive past us while we have 4 heads on the hood. I always stop when I see a traffic stop and wait there until I get a wave-off, and if I don't get one, I get out and try to help. I will never disrespect the beat coppers by talking shit about them because they are doing real police work, answering domestics and missing persons and taffic crashes. I did all that for a long time before I went to TRU. I don't see how any of the beat officers can talk shit about us before doing what we do. What we do is no more important than what they do, but the difference is they like to dog us all the time (especially on this blog).
When I joined this department I thought we were all one big team all out for the same common goal...to get the shitheads off the streets. I guess I was wrong. It has become clear that this department is comprised of a bunch of whiny babies who like to try to ruin a good thing because they are not part of it. What a sad place this department has become. I love this job and never wanted to do anything else, but the way people on this job are today, I can't wait for retirement.
So all you people that don't like us, keep posting your trash talk and lies on here and we will keep our mouths shut and take it. Because we know the truth about the unit and most of what is said on here about us is not true. If you want to see first hand what it is we do, put an application in. No phone calls are needed, but your past performance and disciplinary record will be reviewed before you are accepted. Not everyone will make it, and I suspect those are the people that do most of the bitching on here. We are just cops like you...no better and no worse.
To all officers out there, stay safe and try to have a little fun on this job. It is the geatest job in the world. Let's try to keep it that way.

Just because I'm curious, how many of you here badmouthing the TRU guys have ever worked in TRU, or applied to TRU, maybe you got rejected? Working down in area 2, like anything else or anyone else, there's good and bad to them.....the bad being that the locals get stirred up, leaving us to settle them down again, and for those of us who try to do some police work, pickin's get slimmer. The plus side is that I've had numerous occasions where a TRU car will back me up on a t-stop, street stop and have seen them at our 10-1's. I don't care who shows up to back me up, how much time they don't have on the job, or how much hairgel they wear. when the hammer drops it's good to know that you have the help when you need it. So the TRU guys don't always wave back to you huh? Do you always wave to them? So a few of them think that they're God's gift to the police, yeah and how many of those do you have in the district YOU work in? I can think of at least 10 guys like that on my watch alone. Most of the guys I know always say, "I'd go to TRU but I don't like the hours..." Maybe you fall into that category, or it'll mess with your side job, or you'd have to give up your incident car (why be a little fish in a big pond when you can be a big fish in a little pond?) Maybe you have a spot on days or on the desk, it doesn't really matter.
I learned something from the old timers when I came on the job, they never talk to anyone about anything, part of it is because some things don't need to be said, and more importantly, somethings should never be said. For a group as constantly hounded and badmouthed as we are, you'd think that we would stick together. You want to be in TRU, go fucking apply already, otherwise leave em alone, at least they're trying to do something beyond 19P.

Whether you're in a specialized unit or pushing a beat car, none of us walk on water.

This petty backstabbing and name calling from each other "TRU sucks, Area _____ Gun team sucks, ____ district is bullshit, only _____ district is the real police, etc...." is getting old.

I've been all over the city from citywide units, specialized units and district law enforcement. Last time I looked at my star it said "Chicago Police." Didn't say "real police" or anything else like it.

Stop the bitching, do your job and take care of your fellow officers. Let God sort out the bullshit.

Happy New Year.

Many great officers from SOS have recently gone over to TRU. TRU will get better because of their leadership. You will see...
To the SWAT guys giving Ray Edwards a hard time for again NOT passing the SWAT try-out...Grow up!!! At least he tried out unlike the masses of Citywide warriors bragging about being the best...Where were they? Home.
Give Ray a break already.

Doing home invasions, writing bull shit case reports, cherry picking jobs, working about three hours. When you say old SOS is that what you mean, because that is all the old SOS ever was.
You guys out there looking for the old SOS should realize that they were a major contributor to the ruination of the job as we know it.
Although far too much blame is placed on them.
They were given free rein and they could not handle themselves.
The good hard working coppers that were there are now smeared with the stigma of the "old SOS."
Maybe when JF beats this case that was put on him, he can get a spot in TRU. (That last line was pure sarcasm)
Be good brothers and sisters go home safe, and back each other up.

I cant tell you how many times I have been part of an investigation and hdqs calls and says they made arrangements for us to speak to the media, like it or not.

Then you watch the news that night and the media doesn't tell the story right, or forgets the most important part, or gives the wrong charges or wrong photo, whatever.

So dont blame tru for the limited info that the media put out there.

The media knows how to use you and push your buttons you imbeciles. And this blog exposes this dept's stupidity and weakness.

Tru did a good thing, and we need somebody out there to know that we are decent human beings.

And mister blogmaster can't see that he is giving the media and public the best evidence of how indecent the members of this dept are.

Add to the list of things TRU can't do:
* Be professional on the radio: Everything from a foot chase to traffic stops.(Hint yelling doesn't replace enunciation.)
* Fill SOS's shoes

1) See, we do police work, hence the footchases. Next time I am chasing a guy with a gun I will stop to catch my breath so I can annunciate more clearly. Stroke.

2) Why would I want to do that? So I can go to prison?

People wouldn't even coming in on holidays but thats what the lts would let us do. Im in district now and see how beat guys get the shaft cause we are short handed. Cut bqck size of TRU ,we need bodys not some pony show. And for that Sgt talking garbage i worked with him, he would try to boss me around. Lt's little suck ass kiss ass.

Can someone please define to me what and who the Real Police are? I have 7 & 1/2 years on the job and I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. (I hope you caught the sarcasm). Is it district coppers that answer domestic calls, is unit coppers that deal with hypes and piss bums.
Please help me out here what or who are the Real Police? Because I want to hear from the several posters on this blog that seem to have all the answers and seem to do everything right.

Real Police, hair-gel Police, shit police, 3 year wonders, workers, dogs, etc.. The bottom line is that we are all in this together (sounds hokey, but true) and at this point in time regarding the CPD we need to be as united and as strong as possible.

I probably have to put this disclaimer in since someone will bash my lack of experience. I have always worked in the south or west side districts and I know enough about this job that every partner I have worked with and myself have went home safe at the end of the tour. So knock on wood and keep the faith.

So if you are in a district and work, you're a suck ass. If you leave and go to TRU to work your ass? The coppers here from the district say to only answer the calls and do paper. You don't think the department thought about that when they formed a unit to do proactive police work, with coppers who want to work and aren't responsible for calls or paper, unless it's theirs? You can't have it both ways. I came on when you could be the police, and I loved it. I worked in district tact, gangs, and a beat car and went to work wanting to work. Yes, we took care of ourselves and we were free to work as much or little as we wanted. I can't fault anyone who wants to come to work and do actual work, no matter how much time they have on.

Wow, another genius speaks! What exactly is a "clip"? Perhaps you meant a "magazine"? A magazine is an ammunition storage and feeding device within or attached to a firearm.

A clip (or sometimes, paperclip) is a device which holds several sheets of paper together by means of pressure: it leaves the paper intact and can be quickly and easily removed, unlike the staple.

Who "screwed up" here? Looks like YOU!

Some stupid M-Fer's posting on this site. This is why we can't get a contract, and why the city and media walks all over us. Thanks SCC for posting all this crap for the world to see. SCC strikes me as an 011th district stroke. Every tuff-guy from 011 talks shit about TRU. Ya, 011 coppers make all there big dope arrests, then again a cub scout could make a dope pinch in 011 because it is so easy, yet 011 coppers can't (or don't know how) to handle basic police jobs, perform basic police functions/procedure, etc; etc; etc. So go back to 011 SCC and the rest of you strokes with your rolled up uniform sleeves, pancake holsters, name-tag free vest carriers, chicken scratch perjured police reports, and shove it up your ass.

Went to an awards ceremony received a DC for a Agg CSA/Armed Robbery, 2 TRu guys were there getting one for the amount of impounds and parkers. I love the way you guys just piss on a medal that myself and fellow officers received.

12/28/2007 09:21:00 PM

Holy crap! I was there too, for the same DC. Too bad those po's that are gone aint back in 007. Thats when the watch was a blast.

But a DC for impounds and parkers? That was the pimpiest stuffI've ever heard. All the while homicide offenders are getting pinched, armed robberies interupted and so on. What gives?

Hey sgt BS. so TRU DAT could eat as team and its not congregating?Thats ok but my question then is,why do these teams get 2-3 hr lunches and thats ok?Its ok to go to a team members house to watch a sporting event for 4hrs and thats ok?Why are they not on the street on xmas day in the squad car and not at home then come back to turn in radio?and thats ok?TRU is all about numbers and contact cards, thats why you have 3cars on a 1 bagger,so to work in TRU you really work a 5hr day and have holidays off kinda sorta?Hey sgt.BS I would meet you in the back lot but I'm busy answering jobs,no one in TRU could say that.

Why don't you ask all the other units the same question, or maybe the dets or your own tac teams, how about you quit worrying about what everyone else is doing, do some work, make some connections and maybe you to can get somewhere.

Get over yorself filmore ranger, i was there, it's no big deal, your lockup is filled with your own one baggers and subs so don't try to act like you are any better than anyone else, it's a numbers game, go back and ask your tac team. If you want him to come see you then leave your name, but you won't.

word from HQ is that 3 of the 5 platoons in TRU are being disbanded and personnel will be placed back into the districts. in order to suppliment the TRU unit's decrease in manpower seiser will be detailed to all three platoons and given unlimited overtime capabilities. change to take effect the first day of the first period in 08 and last until crime is vanquished from this city (rough estimate is 72 hours). in order to bring the annual accrued CR#'s to a more acceptable level, fillmoreranger will receive the collective of the disbanded 3 plattoon's early ducks - keeping him off the streets for the entire year. this multi-faceted power-play is projected to bring the city-wide CR#'s down by 60% while increasing activity and revenue by 1,000,000% (as calculated by maury povich guests)

And this is the reason I have stopped reading comments on SCC. I read about 20 of them tonight (against my own better judgment). Everyone is so quick to criticize. Everyone knows everything - esp. about TRU. The amount of 2 faced, backstabbing, ignorant comments is astronomical. What a sad, sad state of affairs that WE have created.

------ I rarely run into TRU guys .....but, ya, I piled on ....nothing malicious ....just jokes .....

"Just because I'm curious, how many of you here badmouthing the TRU guys have ever worked in TRU, or applied to TRU, maybe you got rejected? "
Are you serious? Rejected? The only ones that would be rejected are PPO's. aht unit has no seniority. TRu is gay and will be disbanned or minimized very soon.

I work in a busy south side district and absolutely love having TRU in our district. It's nice having a presence like that around. The only thing i don't like is how they burn up our food places. Even the McDonalds and BK are charging us full boat b/c these guys go in there like 8-10 deep.

12/28/2007 09:54:00 PM

Now imagine that force back in the districts helping out everyday so that you can have a day off? Thats a great thought! Disband TRu so that us watch guys can see our families and have a freaking break from the calls

Oh, how cute, the UIC security guards think they are the police!!

The only things those humps do is write movers to doctors and nurses that work at UIC hospital. And hang in the 7-11 on Halsted.
----------------------------
Well stop on in the 7-11 and teach me how it's done then....i'm sure I could learn alot from you.

FYI, TRU is allowed to eat as a team, so they don't get written up for congregating...

12/28/2007 02:39:00 AM

Where is the G.O./rule that states that? Because if there is..I believe there is a legitimate grievance for any officer written up for congregating.
