Make a Phone Call

It must be nice, having a tame Urkel around to raise taxes on unsuspecting citizens while you drive legitimate businesses out of doing what they do best - generate sales taxes, income taxes and jobs. A case in point:
  • Members of the Cook County Board of Commissioners have proposed ordinances banning the sale of firearms, certain accessories and ammunition. If enacted, these bans proposed by Commissioners Larry Suffredin and William M. Beavers would, in effect, threaten to put Cabela's and other retailers out of business. This ban would not only negatively affect businesses that sell firearms and related items in the Chicagoland area, but also, and more importantly, outdoor and gun enthusiasts who wish to purchase these types of products.
  • The Hoffman Estates Cabela's alone employs more than 300 people, of which two-thirds are Cook County residents. The future of these employees would be uncertain if the proposed ordinances pass. These employees command nearly $4 million in wages - and an additional $1 million in employee benefits - that the local economy would lose out on. Also at risk is the tax revenue generated annually by our Hoffman Estates store: $675,000 to Cook County; $1.8 million to Hoffman Estates; more than $3 million to the state of Illinois.
Here's the link to the protest site.

They've got handy links to locate your County thief Commissioner and a list of numbers to call. Remember, Cabela's is a national chain abiding by all laws Federal, State, County and local municipality. And Crook County wants to drive them out so they can tax YOU and us more along with putting 300 jobs at risk in a state that is bleeding jobs.

I was at the Hoffman Estates Store on Tuesday, spoke to a teller who stated that a while back, Sufferdin attemped to buy a firearm, someone recognized his name and the weapon is still on hold for him to purchase. WTF
Did he have a fake FOID Card, and did he try to prove a point. Who knows. I don't.

So they city will finally be forced to pay for a new issue of weapons then since 90% of the ones we now carry will be illegal? Will the county be paying to replace it's officers weapons what about all the burbs do their contracts have a 1st isue clause? I hope so. Once again an I did something ploy that hasn't been thought out this at the same time the Supreme Court is taking up this issue. What a bunch of useless hacks we have.

Look who is trying to pass this, and that should be enough said. They don't have the juice to pull some shit like that off. To many people rely on this store for their hunting and fishing needs. The only way this can happen is if theses idiots are being puppets for someone with the juice who is trying to shake the store down. It's not a matter of guns and ammunition people......

The county and state are going to chase off all the firearms businesses and manufacturers to gun friendly states. People will realize when all the jobs have gone out of state and now they have that much more to make up in revenue some other way. I'm glad Cabelas came and feel sorry for them but any other business watching this will definitely think twice before moving here. I wouldn't move a shoe business here because I'd be scared I'd have to pay some extra tax to cover the CTA.

Term limits my ass!!!

There must be a revolution, we have to make it our job to vote, or indict and convict these pricks out.

Daley wants to fuck with our pensions like he did with our health care for God's sake.

Make a phone call to your friends and relatives who might work for the city or the county in areas where some of this corruption takes place and encourage them to blow the whistle. They could make some big money if they do and the Fed recovers money.

We need a scandal that will derail the Olympics or at least get the crooks running our lives into the ground for the sake of the campaign contributors.

With the new law you will be required to register your duty weapons with the county at $10 a weapon per year. This is Beavers plan coming down the line...

Maybe I missed it on the County website, but according to the Federal Government retired police can carry concealed weapons as long as they have tested by their respective jurisdictions and approved yearly. On the County website list of exceptions, retired officers are not listed. I guess federal law does not count in Crook County.

Perhaps he was trying to stage a straw sale?

All you have to do is visit his site

To learn he is no friend of any firearms owner.

With His Motto "Taking on Guns, Gangs , and Corruption"
I'm sure it was a fishing expedition.

It should be the opposite!

Illinois needs a "conceal and carry law" like they have in Texas!

Crime will go down when everyone is allowed to safely pack heat!

I was in Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, not long ago, which it's size is similar to Shitcago. They have a far lower crime rate.

Do you know why? Honest law abiding citizens are allowed to legally conceal and carry Smith and Wesson, without fear of some Gel-haired rookie goofball, trying to lock them up on a pimpy U.U.W.

This law also makes the asshole criminals that do not care about fucked up gun control laws think twice before doing anything to a Texan!

Illinois is fucked up and going about the gun issues in a totally fucked up, liberal, backwards ass way!

Make light of the wheel gun all you want. I have never seen anyone split paper with an automatic. I have seen many do it with the revolver & I have done it myself, although only once. Bring back the Claymore!

Don't be a silly boy. If the Hoffman Estates Cabela's goes out of business (and they're a pretty poorly run business if only gun sales are keeping them alive), people will buy the outdoor gear they used to sell at other retailers, overwhelmingly at other Illinois retailers.

How about a doomsday scenerio for businesses? If the county passes this bill, every store in crook county that deals in firearms related merchandise will close immediately laying off all employees.

We need more guns and less criminal politicians.Areas with the highest and easiest gun ownership have less violent crime.Im sure Montana and Idaho are just like the Ikes,NOT!!

Chicago,Detroit,Baltimore,D.C,NYC all have high muder rates and huge violent crime rates, but also the MOST GUN CONTROL.

Let's explore this line of thought. Hmm, also high minority populations and outspoken reverse racists bashing anyone who attempts to police this population to stem the tide of violence. How about other poor areas, where guns are prevalent and legal, say rural white enclaves, and smaller metro areas without lower minority population. What, no sky high violent crime rate? Less befefits as far as education, link cards, etc, but yet less violence? WHAT? The prevalence of violence in a given population almost exactly mirrors the minority population percentage, much moreso than economic ranking? This must be a racist plot.

Bunch of thieving scumbags. Couldn't care less about the two year old dead in a gang shoot, as long as they can keep spreading the message of whitey keeping the man down, and lining their pockets with their forty pieces of silver.

Don't think so...

You really should have stayed awake during grade school and high school civics classes.

"Home Rule" is a provision of the Illinois State Constitution, whereas H.R. 218 is a FEDERAL law.

The home rule provision of the Illinois Constitution can not supercede Federal law.

Now that the pols are ttying to take out Constitutional Rights away from us as United States Citizens these issues shoulc hit home.

Writing on this blog is a good way for us to feel how everone else thinks but it will do nothing. Votes is what makes or breaks the incumbant officials. The WHORE outfit, Chiefs of Police Org. lines up with the WHORE pols. every time. The Chiefs of Police Org. are only "bosses" who echo the bullshit of office holders. A jorag. such as NRA should be contacted and organize a Police Officers of Cook County Support group of 2nd ammendmant rights.

Amen to that.

In the mean time, vote out all incumbents publicly stating their intentions to 'protect' us, by disarming us, and vote only for those challengers publicly supporting our 2nd Amendment Rights.

When in doubt, about an incumbent's position on 2nd Amendment Rights, vote them out. If a public officeholder isn't willing to take a public stand on this issue, fuck 'em, by firing them.
