Although we don't wish anyone any particular ill, John Stroger was emblematic of everything that is wrong with Cook County politics and will continue to be wrong with County government until such time as voters disband this thoroughly corrupt organization.

I was at the medical today and I had a Mope-rah sighting. I was in the waiting room and she walked by on her way out. I wasn't sure at first but the civilian behind the desk said "bye Ms. Mitchell" and she said "bye girl". I looked up her picture when I got home, and sure enough it was her. Two questions:
1. Why was she allowed in there? I believe there is a sign outside the medical that says something like "only officers allowed past this point". I suppose she could get a special clearance as a civilian but I didn't notice any ID tag.
2. What was she doing there? What business could she possibly have?
There was also a gold star, but maybe an inspector, roaming around. I didn't get a good enough look. Coincidence or not?
There were many other people around and I'm positive it was her. Someone else must've seen her besides me.
Very sad that the old man had to live long enough to see how bad of a politician his son was.
I don't wish death or poor health on anyone but we will be cleaning up his mess for decades to come.

After reading all this BS about the State's Attorney using Admin proceedures in criminal cases, I for one will not give the ASA's anymore play when they are drunk out in public. If they want to go by the letter then they will be arrested for DUI also if caught. Sorry to disappoint, but the woman you saw was nurse Zelastine Mitchell. She works at the medical section AND is an asshole like Mope-rah. The Inspector was Tom Schaedel. He is the boss of the medical section.

Hold on there. Better do a little research on John McCain's stand on the issues. He is a liberal Democrat in Republican guise. We didn't delete one response...we deleted 4, each about the size of "War and Peace" because they quoted the entire previous post and nit picked the response.
We warned people months ago that we were reaching a breaking point having to read novels as responses.
The county guy hit a nerve. We get it. But this is still our blog and we decide what goes up. And we don't feel like 1,000 word responses serve the readers. There is no expectation of a platform here.
