Wright Transcripts

Anyone following the media blitz the past few days? The attempted media spin on "reverend" Wright's words is that they have been taken out of context by right leaning persons to smear Obama's sitting in the pews for twenty years listening to this bullshit.

A couple of commentators came here telling us to listen to "reverend" Wright's words. We did even one better. Hugh Hewitt at Town Hall has not only put up audio clips, he has transcripts up so you can read Wright's "sermons" and make your own judgments.

We've listened and read the sermons and we've revised our opinion that Wright is a racist and a conspiracy nut. We are now of the opinion that he's a liar, a revisionist, an ignoramus and, to put it simply, bat-shit crazy.

And now Joe Klein, resident leftist at Time Magazine, writes how every time Wright opens his mouth, Obama's campaign dies a little more. Klein is a big time Clinton apologist and indicative of how the media is turning on Obama more and more. The Democratic convention is going to be way more fun than usual.

I heard Father Michael Phelgier from the Archdiocease of Chicago on the radio praising Rev. Wright and his sermons.

I will no longer be donating to the Catholic Church as long as I am a parishoner in this City. The archdiocease of Chicago along with the Chicago Trib and the Sun Times will no longer be collecting one dollar from me until they censor that asshole. I am completely digusted.

There are a whole lot of crazy men of the cloth. In fact GOD, I think it was, predicted that this would happen and happen quite often. "Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing." was along the lines of something once said.

Holy Roman Empire Batman!!!

I should start attending this dude's church you can never laugh hard enough when you listen to an idiot.

If your poor, disadvantaged and uneducated. My best advice is not to listen to a reverend idiot. Find a wealthy, advantaged and smart (not just educated) business person to learn how they obtained success for yourself. Read books, go on-line. Learn how to establish credit. Follow basic business principles. Sacrifice.

More...rappers don't talk like a ghetto rat. Business people and patrons don't talk shit street talk.

Poor or disadvantaged kids often exceeded their parents. Immigrants to this country have proven this. Illegals come here start there own businesses. They work shit jobs that our own American poor won't do.

Our poor won't work. Why? Because they can get a check for spreading their legs and having babies. They can get a check for substance abuse. They can get a check for being unemployable.

I believe in Freedom of Speech. I just gave you some. Mr. Right should speak his own words and others can listen or laugh too. Fuck Ali Bama in 2008!

I took the advice of a poster last week and went to politco.com and reviewed the thesis that Michelle Obama wrote when she attended Princeton University.

After reviewing the document I now understand why Barack Obama will not denounce the Reverend Wright and why I hope and pray he does not become the President of the United States. It appears to me that the Obama's hold the same beliefs that the Reverend Wright hold.

I believe it is required reading for anyone in this election cycle and the document can be located at Politco.com or by utilizing google and entering "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community" by Michelle LaVaughn Robinson.

Barack Obama bin-Laden says---

Please do not refer to my movement as a "campaign". What I am doing has nothing to do with a campaign.

I am finding disaffected individuals, usually unsuccessful in life and with a poor self-image, and giving them something to hope for---ME.

From now on, refer to what I am doing as a "movement" or a "jihad". After the election, these individuals will return to their miserable lives, which I will make even more miserable once Islamic law in put in place. They can watch their freedoms circle the drain.

Father Phelgier is an embarrasment to the Catholic Church. Why he is allowed to spew his vile ideas are beyond the view of thousands of Catholics. (however, the Archdiosese sees fit to let him say anything he wants. He is a bully to the Cardinal, and everyone backs down from him).

Maybe he should be re-assigned to the Congo, or feed the children!

You gotta love Wright! He is singlehandedly bringing down Obama, the closet racist. The best part about all this is that no Republican was involved in any of this. Wright just can't stand being out of the limelight AND HERE'S THE BEST PART - he's got a book coming out in two-three months so he's gonna be in Obama's face right up to the convention! Good-bye Barack! Nation of Islam isn't protecting him from some angry white man - they're worried about an angry black man!

I just don't see how the dems can win this election. They've killed themselves.

Amazing how they can try to spin the comments of the good rev. They are the master liars of the century.

Now if the country can see that Clinton is just as bad, we're in good shape. I can't wait for the, "I'm moving out of this country if a Republican wins the election." talk to begin. I'm still waiting for some of those asswipes to keep thier word.

After listening to this spewing of hatred by Wright( and others) I hope Sharpton stays home the next time a white man (Like Imus)says something politically incorrect. What's good for the goose is good for the gander and ......"the chickens have come home to roost".

Sharpton seems unable to get a real foothold in Chicago. Too much competetion, I guess. Wright brought him here to open an office and Wright's daughter is in charge of it.

Where is the outrage in the black community at Wright's rantings. Or is he just saying what his parishiners want to hear?

This is a perspective from a Hispanic. While I don't consider myself black nor white I must say that I cannot believe the double standard going on in today's black community.
The black community says that Obama is running for president and not wright. That white America doesn't understand the black church and sermons. That those beliefs are not obamas beliefs.
Well let me ask this question, what if the preacher where McCain attends church for the last 20+ years has stated that black people were the root of all evil, they spreads aids through unprotected sex, make white people victims violent crimes, sell drugs to our children, and promote violence through gangster rap music. Would the black leaders and community say yeah they would still vote for McCain because those are his preachers beliefs and not his for the last 20+ years??? Or will they say that this person running for president could not represent their community fairly?
We all know the answer to this question.

Please don't call Wright a "fake rev". If he were a "fake rev", he would do the job correctly, but without the proper credentionals, such as myself; the "Fake Sgt". I am thinking of leaving my fake career behind though and returning to my former as a PO for Life. Ever since I saw the fax from our "Fake Supt" threatening felonious charges for various misdeeds I've been beside my fraudulent self with worry. Although I've performed my duties with the best intentions and never taken more than my alloted two 15 minute breaks, I suppose my fake, self-awarded stripes could be mistaken for something other than loyalty to the troops.

What is sad is so many of my black colleagues want to excuse Obama so quickly saying "you can't blame Obama for what Wright said." I know you want someone to believe in, I know it's time to see a black person reach such heights but Obama is not the great black hope. He is a very flawed, under qualified, Chicago politician who will harm this country deeply. Oh, I know he graduated Harvard but so did Daley, is he qualified???? Obama sat there and listen to this crap while he was an elected official including a United States Senator. He gave thousands of dollars to Wright to help him spread his "message." The political overtones of this church were no secret to anyone, all you had to do was read the now deleted web page to see what the church stood for. It didn't stand for God, for Christ, it stood for a "afro-centric cause." Funny how Rice isn't black enough, how Powell wasn't black enough but what has the crap like that which comes from Wright's mouth ever gotten you...Nothing!!!!!Since the passing of the Civil Rights Act how would you honestly compare the state of the black community, now VS. then. To the first responder - take heart. My very reliable sources tell me Fr. Phelger doesn't have long left to go. They have been trying to get rid of him for years but feared his racist cries. They are in a tough spot. But I agree with you. A priest can only stay at his parish - I beleive no longer than 10 years. An acception was made in his case. When they tried to get him out years ago, he threatened to go start his own church. Now they are getting ready to get rid of him and good riddence to him and they don't care what he does now. With the Wright thing and taking the pulpit political they have more solid reasons to get rid of him. Tick tock. Trust me - he's on his way out. It won't be long.

I have to voice my opinion of this Rev. Wright thing.
This is not a stupid man. He did not come off acting like a clown on the Moyers intervier the way he did at the Press Club speech.
Wright knew that Obama had to truly denounce him before the Indiana and NC primaries. I believe Wright knew what he was doing when he acted like a fool. Obama may or may not have been aware of what the object was. I honestly don't think he knew. So now he denounced him and that's that. Now he can go away and wait for Obama to win the nomination. At least that's what Wright hopes will happen.
I find it hard to belive that a man as smart as Wright would ruin the chance of the only viable black man ever to have a shot at achieving the presidency. The blacks who understand this will still stick up for him and vote for Obama.
Wake up people.

The Tuskegee Experiment, I agree, was a horrific, inexcusable, tragic piece of American history that violated every conceivable notion of human rights. Instead, what should have been injected into those airmen was a hypodermic cocktail consisting of the following: child-rearing abilities, responsibility, education, work ethic, morals and scruples. Maybe this would have been the antidote for self-entitlement, laziness, violent and criminal tendencies as well as all-around lethargy towards a productive existence. And maybe, just maybe, my taxes wouldn't be so God-damned ridiculous.

It was something that happened almost a century ago. Get over it. You've had more than enough free bones thrown your way since. Get on with your life and stop living in the past and you might make something of yourself.

But then you would be what Wright called Rice, Powell or the others he blasted in his sermons. And living with anger and hate is so much better than focussing on something productive, isn't it?

I agree with you.

What is going on right now? People are talking about it (Wright/Obama)and when I say people, I mean all types of people.

The only bad publicity is no publicity. So, if people are talking about this then Obama is in the conversation, and that is a good thing. No matter your take or how your going to vote, you know something about him, good or bad as it may be.

Wright is well aware of this.

Most white Americans don't understand the black church. Those white pastors should have spoken against bigotry decades ago instead of condoning it,by remaing silent. Some white ministers did say that being "black" was evil and used the Bible to justify slavery and bigotry. If you are of Hispanic descent you know that the overwhelming majority of narcotics comes into this country across the Mexican border; south Florida. The biggest consumers of rap music are suburban white kids. This crap about "street cred" was created by white male ad men on Madison Avenue in NYC. Every American in this country knows at least one person that has HIV/AIDS or has died as a result of the disease. Let's review the sermons of your pastor from the past 20 years. Moreover, most non-catholics in this nation believe that catholics worship the Pope and Mary the way other Christians worship Christ Jesus. So, get your facts straight before repeating incorrect information.

No, Daley didn't make anything by merit. Not even States Attorney. His father paid for every single title he ever had with cold, hard cash. That is why he doesn't understand the following situation. Officer A. returns to school to earn credits to take promotional exam. Officer A. barely see's his family now after working reg hours, overtime, court, sidejobs to pay mortgage, tuition, etc. Test is announced and Off. A. begins to study and takes extra study classes also cuts back on sidejobs, placing stress on finances and marital situation. After several years of study and work toward promotion, the test in taken. Happy about a high score and being a hard working, aggressive officer Off.A is informed by Off. B that Off. B is "getting made" wink wink, "and going to the dicks after I stop off in 006 for a minute" Off.A is incredulous and doesn't believe it. This rumour starts to gather momentum and is heard by others. A promotion list appears, Off.B is on it, exactly where he said he would be. but Off B. never did any work and he steals dope to give to his crackhead girlfriends and he steals money to give to give to the alderman and Daley...ooohhh.I get it.

Look at the payouts for being "passed over" for captain. It only took 100 years after the civil war and the civil rights movement for blacks to get theirs. Whites complain and the judge grants every demand, quickly. One more thing The Homestead Act released millions of acres for white settlement for $10.00 dollars after 3years of residence. Most of those ranches and farms are still in the hands of the same families. I couldn't even get 40 acres and a mule.
