It's Official

  • As expected, the Blackhawks announced the return of Pat Foley as the team's television play-by-play announcer.

The Sun-Times originally broke the story that Dan Kelly would not return, opening the way for Foley's return.

“We are thrilled to have Pat Foley back in our organization,” Hawks president John McDonough said. “His voice is synonymous with Blackhawks hockey and it resonates loudly to our entire fan base.”

It certainly resonates with us. Foley is about the best there is and the Blackhawks are making all the right moves to win back the fans.

Now, about that missing hardware in the trophy case. Mr. Wirtz the Younger, if you please?

Fuck yes! I would have to say that they have corrected just about all their major mistakes of the Bill Wirtz era in the course of 1 year. A #1 Dman, another top forward, some more grit to protect the talent, and we're looking at the playoffs. It's been one hell of a cold year in hell!

Welcome back home Pat! You were greatly missed! Dan Kelly fucking blew!

Hockey is only recognized as an actual sport in three countries. Hocky is not an actual sport in the United States. Learn to hit a baseball or throw a football.

Also, don't chase the bouncing orange ball. It's a sport and it's American but it's not baseball and certainly not football.

Does it really matter who the broadcaster will be ? The Hawks are going to be the Hawks . They will suck as usual and nothing will change . The Hawks will eventually catch up to the Cubs in regards to years WITHOUT a WINNER so sit back and wait for the HO HUM Hawks to fizzel out again and again .

To think Morons will still pay top dollar to watch a team stepped in mediocrity, makes it all the more hilarious. You want Hockey, go see the Calder Cup Champion Wolves. Good hockey, affordable & a Team that respects their fanbase.

As an avid fan and a one time regular rat hockey player, I say screw you, eh! I would love to see those "athletes" on the baseball field lace up a pair of skates and do what these guys can do. And take the punishment 2-3 times a week. Not just once a week like football. Football players aren't hitting each other at 20 mph.

Up until now I didn't know we had a hockey team in Chicago, well of course other than CPD hockey, who probably could beat the Hawks...

The Keesing Bandit says---

How can you not like hockey? Lots of strong smelly men on cold ice fighting and bumping each other in their cute little Bermuda shorts.

I get sweaty just thinking about it.

Now, kees me you fool!!!

Will this gut actually be able to make hockey intersting to watch? Doubtful!

Hockey is a sport but it's not an easy one to watch, even if it is pretty easy to play.
