A Guilty Plea in Soto Homicide
But it's only a juvenile for witness intimidation:
- A teenage girl pleaded guilty today to robbing and beating a female witness in the murder case of Chicago Police officer Robert Soto and Kathryn Romberg.
The girl was apparently angry because her former friend had spoken to police about Jason Austin, the former sole suspect in the high-profile Aug. 13 murders, according to Cook County prosecutors. The State’s Attorney’s office dropped charges against Austin, 26, citing "challenges with witness statements" on Sept. 10. That was the same day the teenager and her relative, 18-year-old Tashianda Howland, were arrested for harassing the witness.
Proof positive that the "don't squeal" culture did more to derail this investigation that anything else. And evidence that the justice system is completely undermined by a segment of society that would let cop killers and other murders go free for...what exactly? What possible benefit is derived from living outside the bounds of civilized society? We'd really like to know.
Hopefully, the judge can throw the book at this fool and the other one and shake something loose.

Not much deterrence here, for witness intimidation, in a felony double murder case.
What lessons are being learned by the guilty?
Amazing, the pastor of Jason Austin's mother coming into 011 with her shortly after he was arrested. As if being a play pastor at one of the thousands of MB churches on the west side means anything. Somewhat OT but two days I look forward to: When those self proclaimed pastors stop dressing like they're zoot suit models, and when the good citizens stop believing these churches are anything other than fronts. How many Mercedes Benz' and Bimmers are registered to the MB church of this or that?

Yet another West Side classic. The juvenile thug’s sole purpose was to silence the witness, but she obviously figured that as long as she had her victim down she might as well exploit the opportunity further by robbing her of her cell phone and money. Predator mentality in action.
If this bag of shit Austin had been prosecuted early on before anyone started backpedaling on witness accounts we wouldn’t now have a killer freely roaming around granting media interviews while his posse is out shutting down the investigation. Absolutely pathetic.
This is what results from liberal society championing the rights of vicious animals who have no regard for anyone else’s rights and a State’s Attorney’s office willing to roll over in compliance. Liberals don’t scratch your tummy when you roll over though, they instead seize the opportunity to firmly administer a chokehold. Unfortunately not enough people are getting this.

Offender was 16. What do you expect from the County of the misdemeanor murder.
This juvy charged with intimidation has not been sentenced. Says not til Dec. 2 for her.
Two p.o’s working out of 012 where assigned to the robbery car that night around the U.C. Spotted a car in a lot hiding out. P.o’s went to investigate found two twin brothers m/1’s mid 20’s with two f/1’s also mid 20’s. p.o’s pulled them out of car, “they be smoken up in car”… p.o’s asked when was the last time you were arrested. One dude said well I really was not arrested just interviewed. P.o asked what. Dude replied that he was picked up by A/4 dics about the Soto murders, and was let go. P.o asked why, dude said long story. P.o asked if they had the right guy. Dude said yeah. P.o asked what he is doing now. Dude said that he is chillen at his boys house smoken it up in Chicago on the west side… dude also said to p.o’s that his aunty is a copper and stopped by when he was picked up by A/4… p.o’s ran dude and his twin bro’s rap sheet, both convicted felons, found burglary’s, theft’s, “robbery”, agg bat to p.o, assault to p.o, ect… p.o’s called A/4 for notifications and all that good stuff.

The ghetto is not outside the bounds of civilized society. It is a sepperate society. Survival of the fittest trumps civil ethics and values, always. It is only when these cultures conflict, and the rule of law, backed by the threat or use of force, is imposed, does the criminal, or animal, recede.
Thus the gang banger rules the street when the Po Po is not around. Civil society can not afford a Cop on every corner, nor does it care to.
The result; the weak, the elderly and the children are prisoners in their own neighborhood, the jungle. Only those whose parents had the foresight to insist on a good education, or by the luck of unique tallent, or even joining the military to get away and see an alternative world, are able to escape the law of the jungle.
The rest are left to survive, one day at a time, in a world that only the police, fireman and ER doctors and nurses understand in civilized society.
Found my retirement pics while "rearranging" the garage. I found Bobby and me and everything flooded back.

I worked with Bobby Soto some years ago in 010. He deserves better than this!!!
There is no room for politics or political correctness when cops are killed. Justice should be swift and fierce!
austin the pos is still walking the streets and will most likely sue, watch daley and then burke release the funds as the 49 other weak cowards pay the KILLER! If men like BURGE were still in charge we would put him in prison, or hopefully he would be killed! Soto is killed, the other officer was killed by his home and we have none in prison! True but the sad fact is most civilians don’t understand this fact. Most Civilians do not see what we see and deal with on a daily basis. They think it’s just like Law and Order or CSI, with a little COPS sprinkled on top. They, unfortunately, also think that WE must conform to Rules and Regulations, lest we bruise the feelings of one of these less than human criminals.

Now we have two policemen killed in Area 4 both off-duty but these used to be treated as on-duty murders with the same intensity. Now we have nothing, no resolution. With the stupid and cowardly supervisors in Area 4 and at now at detective headquarters, someone should be fired or demoted starting with detectives up to superintendant.
The Detecitve Division was destroyed by the women and women-like "supervisors" who don't have a clue. We used to survive the idiots in the D and other units but the re-gentrification of the department has overran it and it is no longer.
