This is so ridiculous, it's almost impossible to parody:
- Mayor Daley today stood behind his police superintendent for refusing a judge’s order to release names of officers with five or more citizen complaints filed against them since 2002.
So now J-Fed gets praised for doing exactly what Daley and Daley's lawyers told him to do? Wow. We don't recall this mayoral praise being heaped on former bosses for the exact same thing when the list was initially refused to the trolling lawyers.
Things must be really bad if the mayor is resorting to this sort of theater to gin up support.

yes, he's doing a good job. the fbi superstar brought in by daley has definitely proved he is a snake that rattles and bites-- totally treacherous-- he is so good at doing his job that the rank and file has shut down productivity wise. nobody is doing shit where i work. look at the sheets at the end of the night-- a bunch of goose eggs.

Don't be fooled by Jody's nonsense, or the Mayor's. They aren't sticking up for you. They're protecting themselves.
First, Taylor already has this list, from another case. But he can't use it for anything other than that case, or he's in deep trouble. Right now, there is an appeal of whether the list can be published. Remember that? All the crap in the City Council?
In this case, Taylor would get it with the same strings attached. So why are they fighting so hard to keep him from getting something he already has, and won't be able to publish unless the other case goes his way?
Because the list is not about shaming officers with their CR numbers (yep, lots of 'em are total BS.) It's about protecting Daley from the claim that he did a lousy job of running the CPD. Do you really disagree with that claim?

I received a text message from the late and legendary Lottie Zagorski. Finally, I could now pick up my envelope at her saloon on Cortland St.

Speaking of T-shirts and since I was only two blocks away, I decided to investigate "T-Shirt Deli", 1739 N. Damen Ave. Anonymous SCC posters claimed that they were selling anti-CPD T-shirts. UNFOUNDED!
After browsing, I spoke with Hillary, the store manager. Yes. If you want to buy a lettered T-shirt to read "FUCK _________!" (Fill in the blank: Daley, da WEISel, SCC, etc.) No problem. However, Hillary credibly told me that she never heard of the name "COZZI" or any anti-CPD shirts being bought (even though protected by the First Amendment).
A lady recently gifted me with a T-shirt that reads "STRICTLY VAGITARIAN". I toyed with the idea of reciprocating with a lavender "WORLD-CLASS FELLATRIX" T-shirt. Next time...

I'm not deneying that it may be a very busy summer, but in my 12 years on the job we say that about every summer as the winter comes to an end. Nothing new it will be just like the last summer.
5 CR's since 2000? I'd be kinda embarrased if I wasn't on the list. 5 CR's in that time is very little.
I'm a watch commander that supports my troops inactivity.
One good thing has come out of this no activity drive: no CR, no TRR, no IODs. I'm happy, the troops are happy, fuck you and give us a contract.
I was in 018 yesterday for a theft report and was told by the only male officer on the desk that it would be 30 to 45 minutes wait.

Not just names are to be on the list. The list is to consist of specific allegations, actions taken, time served or punishments.
