- The cost of President Barack Obama's Election Day celebration in Grant Park totaled more than $1.7 million, and the city has yet to be paid.
The Office of Budget and Management says the city is reaching out to the Democratic National Committee to get the money. A DNC spokesperson said the party is still looking at various costs and bills.
In October, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley said the cash-flush Obama campaign would reimburse the city for the total cost of the rally.
We think we've spotted the pattern!
- Daley says the Obama campaign will pay for the rally - they don't
- Daley says taxpayers won't be on the hook for $500 million in Olympic costs - they will

I too, can also subscribe to such an existence - especially when it comes to this job. Examples:
- I will write a ton of parkers to generate revenue for the City
- I will write a ton of movers to generate revenue for the City
- I will do endless vehicle impounds, ANOV's and burglar alarms to generate revenue for the City
- I will be proactive
- I will give 110% in every aspect of police work that I encounter
- I will not blow-off hand-wavers
- I will not drive by the dudes that match the description of a burglary or robbery pattern crew
- I will not 19P every job I get (with the exception of a Domestic, of course)
- I will not ride jobs out to go and sit in the hole and read the paper, watch TV or make non-job -related phone calls
- I will not re-direct citizens involved in driveable traffic accidents to neighboring district desks (one of my FAVORITES)
- I will not have a few more beers while perusing this blog
Don't worry....the media proclaims that BHO is more popular than JESUS in America...Boy is GOD gonna get pissed when he/she sees this....just sayin'
