Time for Hauser to Go?

Hop over to the Pension Board minutes and page through. Lots of interesting info. Especially in February 2009:
  • It was moved by Trustee Shields, seconded by Trustee Lazzaro that the Board remove law school tuition from the Policemen’s Annuity and Benefit Fund’s continuing education program based on availability of funds and job relatedness.
    ROLL CALL
    For: Shields, Lazzaro, Neely, 3.
    Against: Lux, Hauser, Reusche, 3.
    Absent: Maloney, Volpe, 2.
    MOTION FAILS
We're pretty sure this is the incident regarding the Secretary's law school tuition being paid for with our pension money. As of yet, no one has explained what we get for paying this tuition. Are we paying for A's and B's? D's? Are we getting a free lawyer for two or three years to work on our pension bills and legislation? Are we paying for one single connected individual or are there a bunch of people getting their law degrees to help out? Are we getting ripped off?

Based on the above vote, this was a completely winnable motion as one of the City appointees was absent and those elected to represent our interests had a leg up. Any retirees want to let us know why Hauser voted the way he did? You guys are drawing a pension already.

No one ran against Hauser. There was no vote. I didn't vote because the pension board had no election for the retiree trustee.

What were you promised Kenny?

Hauser votes with the city, and against the police every chance he gets. If you have the right phone call, you are granted disability. If not, tough luck. He got his lackey Harold Brown 75% duty disability. Harold supposedly had carpal tunnel syndrome from writing tickets, if you can believe that one but the kid struck by an auto is told tough luck. Hauser has been hosing us for years. It's time to hose Hauser.

Hey retiree's you better check your rep. Who the hell did you guys elect? What's wrong with you guys? You put a Daley guy in a position to hurt our pension. You guys better wake the fuck up and pay attention. Get this clown out of here! He votes with Daley every time. Spread the word and blast your guy for his BS! Next election do the right thing we don't have a lot of time with all the pension theft going on.

Dump his fat ass. He was a do nothing political hack when he was assinged to Major Accident Investigation Unit years ago. He seems not to have changed his spots. Brother was some big wig in the Park District years ago that's how he got his foot up in the first place. Forget about paying "juniors" law school. How about taking the 3% COLA and compounding it. Those of us who retired years ago see our pensions being eaten up by these hacks along with the hacks in charge Richie and Barrack. Time for a change. Keep up the good work Shields - it appears as though you are the only one watching our back down there.

Hauser was good for shit when he was the active PO's trustee. He is worse now. He votes WITH Lux??

Lux is City Comptroller, Lux is a Daley guy through and through! And the retirees representative on that board votes WITH the City and pays laws school tuition to a woman of dubious worthyness and who is likely related to a former CPD boss?

Bullshit! Hey retirees, get your heads out of your asses, Hauser is a Daley pimp, he just stole thousands of YOUR money to give to someone's dolly.

The old days are gone, and the old guys who do things the old way like Hauser need to get dumped on their fat asses.

Get rid of him already, it is too goddamn bad the retirees were again asleep at the switch and voted this asshole in. Three more years of Hauser voting with the City. disgusting.

Why wasn't Maloney and Volpe there? Maloney should have had our backs.
If they know what is going to be discussed, voted on, etc., you gotta wonder why some "miss" the meeting.

I'm a retiree and truthfully if it wasn't for this kid Shields I would have never known what was going on. Just the comment linking Harold Brown (ass hat supreme) to Hauser tells it all. But remember we have short memories so when voting time comes around have Shields and SCC start telling us and reminding us again about this jag.

As stated Hauser had no competition for the spot. could some responsible retiree PLEASE step up for all of us in the next election??!!! As many of us are finally waking up and seeing...these pension board members make a lot of decisions which effect us all in a major way.
WE ALL NEED TO START PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT IS GOING ON AND CARING/ DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

I started posting about the pension 18 months ago. Did not get much of response. I will repeat what I have said before. The pension financial advisors ( if you can call them that) loaded this pension with CDOs, CDS and CMBS and left the fund hanging. They were totally inept with our money. How are these advisors picket? How about politically? Also, ask the trustees how many trips have they made because some advisor or potential advisor picked up the tab?

Advice anyone? I have or had about 20,000 in defered comp and a house to sell. Will I get a pension? If so, how much am I losing by staying in on the CPD?

He had just shot down a p.o in the previous hearing, and he was the swing vote in that decision also!! It seems they got the process twicked to F**K P.O's !!! WTF is wrong with this clown !!!! I was told I will win it in appeal..... but its aggravating knowing that politics rule the day as my future hangs in the balance. VOTE HAUSER OUT!!!!!!

When you're close to twenty, you can reassess. Weis will be long gone and Daley might be, too.

You might have been promoted or you might finally have a chance at a FAIR shot at promotion. You just don't know what time will bring your way.

BUT, at twenty years, be brutally honest. It's said you take the first job/career to make a living and you take the second one to make a life. If changing careers will vastly improve your life, go. And don't look back.

Not one retiree ran against Hauser, so he won automatically and was not even on the ballot. Everyone must be Happy with him, or they fear to run against him and the rath of the Mayor?

His last street assignment was in the Public Vehicle Unit (plain clothes, unmarked car, everybody thought they were dicks, but the vehicle unit was just p.o's in cheap suits) way back in the early '90's, he chased cabs and limos up and down Michigan Ave. Somebody was looking out for him even then.

At Christmas he sent everybody a card to keep his name alive (almost like S. Davis from FOP and his monthly Newsletters). He is an alright guy who does what will keep him alive. He will go to every meeting and dinner party if he can (FOP used to pay for all the tickets anyway)

Kenny has been on Easy Street for many, many years, and his girth will prove it.

So stop complaining!

If you want him out, start going to every FOP meeting (make a motion every so often and get your NAME on record), send out a card once a year, when nominations come up, pass out those free pens and your in, right Kenny?

Then after you get the Union gig, you run for Pension Board Trustee, or the Retired Chicago Police Association Board of Directors, etc, it's a cinch!

(Harold B., you know how it works, you old dog)!

But was physically able to work at the FOP gift shop

Next, Hauser is the only one still around who voted to give John Thomas' widow the line of duty death pension. At the time they all voted for it

Whatever your opinion is about John Thomas, he died of a heart attack in his home.

Allegedly because he got a call from Hillard immediately before.

Uh huh

He did not die of a gunshot wound sustained in an alley in Englewood

Mrs Thomas did NOT deserve a duty death pension And John didnt deserve a duty death funeral which he got

Hauser was backed by the Retired Chicago Police Association which is being run by former officers of the FOP. They took over the Retired Association with the thought of ( I heard them say it), of using their voting power in FOP elections. If you want Hauser out, talk to this organization or to the FOP.

Hauser is truly a joke up there people. He votes the city way every time, damn the disabled cops he could care less. Most of the time he doesn't even listen to the testimony of the individuals he's out getting coffee or running to the bathroom. I've seen it with my own eyes, time and time again. He just allows the attorney (Kuegler) and the other appointees to badger and be-little the officers many of whom are really hurt and unable to work many haven't received monies in months many that are on the brink of foreclosure because they're in a no pay status. He's bad for the police he doesn't help us one bite. Mr. Vice-president Hauser you have to go. HIS FREE RIDE NEEDS TO STOP NOW, Ask him about his vacation to Hawaii on our pension money.
