A hiccup in the system loses another truckload of data Monday afternoon.

Useless, archaic system. Did we take the State Police down with us again?
I think it all happened because I said "Huberman" five times while looking into a mirror.

Yup, right around noon. Another citywide crash. what a mess of a system. At least there were paper arrest reports and inventory books nearby from the last crash. The authorization to use them never came. The system came back up too soon.
How come none of this has been reported yet? Fran, Frank, Angela, pay attention. The ENTIRE city arrest and inventory processing system crashed over the weekend for over 24 hours creating one great clusterfuck.
Prisoners couldn't be cleared or released. Rights were violated. Grounds for lawsuits were created. The "state of the art" system of computers for the Chicago Police Department showed us just how vulnerable we are to any type of malicious attack.
Why don't the reporters report on this? You all have sources, get on the phones.

Huberman and repeat after me DID NOT create/develop The CLEAR System. That is the biggest lie going around this department. The people around him created it. He just took the creidt and accolades. Second we probably wouldn't even have this problem had the City not outsourced the upkeep responsibilties to Unisys which is based out of Texas. So wehn the system has a "hiccup" we have no one readily available to work on it. WHy? Because the City laid off all the orginal data system operators who knew how to troubleshoot the system with it's last massive layoffs in December.
It works 99% of the time.....
The server has been down for 3 fucking days. I have a 4 hour wait to get the 1 inventory book that they have behind the desk and when that runs out, they told me I might have to go to a different district to inventory my items. Then they have the nerve to bitch about me making overtime while I was sitting around waiting for the book, the wc to come back from her 3 hours nap, the lockup putting away the playstation basketball game. i really hate this fucking department
