Aldercreature Olympic Vote

Here's how it will go. Our opinion only, but it will be interesting to see how close we are:
  • More secret meetings, all in violation of the Open Meetings law. Two, three or four aldercreatures meeting with various administration officials and private influential citizens with a financial interest in the games. Lisa Madigan and Fitzgerald will look the other way.
  • Promises will be made to certain aldercreatures, especially those with open land to build or existing facilities to be improved with promises of jobs, contracts and kickbacks. It's the Chicago way after all.
  • Threats will be conveyed to certain appointed aldercreatures. Daley has appointed around 27 or 28 of the current 50. Markers will be called in and they will vote Daley's way or else.
Remember, all Daley needs is 26 votes. And because too many on the Council owe him their very existence, he will get most of the 26 from this pool. The uprising felt in the wards that actually pay attention to the corrupt process will allow Shortshanks to make gains, too. He can actually give these aldercreatures political cover by allowing them to vote against the Olympic bond and insurance issues. They can cry to their constituents that, "I voted against it! It was all those other greedy bastards!" And by doing this, Daley will be owed yet another favor by these "anti" Olympic aldercreatures anyway.

Anyone see it differently?

A shout-out to "Second City Sarge" as well as the sorely missed, recently retired Sgt. Al PIANTKOWSKI, 018, for commemorating the murders of Jim SEVERIN and Tony RIZZATO on July 17, 1970 by sniper fire from the 6th floor bathroom window at 1150 N. Sedgwick St. (Cabrini-Green)

After 39 years, Larrabee St. in front of the new 018 will be renamed "SEVERIN-RIZZATO WAY" on Saturday, July 18th.

For details, check the "Second City Sarge" blog site thread entitled "18th District/Memorial Dedication".

Don't see it differently. Not one bit. Our time would be better spent organizing with CFD and planning ward by ward then pct by pct a solid plan for the next election. Everyone is aware of what's going on here and we have no recourse. There is no agency with the capability of charging any of these people with their crimes. The only alternative is to vote them out. It must be all of them. Every single one.

The 1968 Riot Reunion tonight sounds like fun. I might even bring along my genuine COCOBOLO nightstick for old times sake.

Those good old fashioned wood shampoos now seem like a distant memory.

A couple years after the convention, a girlfriend and I were driving through Greenwich Village when we got pulled over by the NYPD for a "misdrive". As I opened my wallet for my DL, the sun glistened off my star. The cop said "What's dat?" and I told him.

He calls out to his partner "Hey, Vinnie! It's a coppah from Shacawga", ignoring my shoulder rig in plain view. They raved on about how great we were on the televised riots and treated us to a great meal at a trattoria in the Village.

Great guys. I left a very large tip.

The Reader's CloutCity blog takes comments instantly, ie., no immediate moderation.

Anyone with the time could copy and paste a shitload of articles and comments pertaining to the truths about these bogus payouts.

While the editors at the Reader won't likely allow posts containing opinions not to their liking to remain for long, it's worth a try.

Maybe Ben Joravsky might pick up on the subject, like he's done with the TIF scandal.

I think its time to put an advisory referendum on the ballot, putting forth a public question as to whether ot not the citizens are willing to assume the cost of the olympics.
I don't think we'd have any problem getting enough signatures to put it on the 2010 ballot (three public questions allowed, first come first served).
And I think "the Games" would be overwhelmingly rejected.

HOUSTON -- Four people police say were involved in the fatal shooting of a Houston police officer this week are illegal immigrants and have multiple aliases that are complicating the investigation.
Two suspects are charged with capital murder in the slaying of 42-year-old Officer Henry Canales. He was working undercover on a stolen property sting operation when he was gunned down Tuesday night. The alleged shooter was shot and killed by police; three other suspects were caught a short time later.
Andres Maldonado Nava, 41, had at least eight aliases and multiple arrests in California, authorities said Thursday. Robert Pedroza Carrillo, 37, who was killed in the gunfire, had three aliases. Both men are from Mexico.
Another brother in blue taken away from his family by scum who come here only to wreak havoc on this land and the law abiding citizens and law enforecement personel. Kick all their asses out.

I know that SCC refuses to advertise or in anyway enable "Blog 501", my question is:
Is this reachable by civilians or is it only carried on the internal network of the CPD.

I've done my homework, looked high and low for it, I assume its only internal.

If that's the case, its pretty stupid.

Daley did the same with all civilian unions. He broke the signed contract and is demanding major concessions that equla a pay cut of 10%. Not just furlough days but he is after all of the benefits. Yet he is hiring independent contractors to eventually replace civilians. Crush the unions and reward his friends.

CPD policy states that every officer in plain cloths WILL wear their department I.D. when in a police facility, unless your aunt B the deputy superintendent.

Aunt B comes over the the academy late Wednesday afternoon and is instructed by the female security officer she needs to wear her department I.D. as the signs states when you first walk into the building. Aunt B has no I.D. on her person. Well the security officer is doing her job by the book and the two start to exchange a few words. On the way out Aunt B reams the female officer with Maria Maher type screaming and by Friday the female officer is dumped to 004.

For the help we can bring
We can change the world -
Re-arrange the world
It's dying - to get better
Politicians sit yourself down,
There's nothing for you here
Won't you please come to Chicago
For a ride

OT

Worked a footpost at the taste tonight... and they wonder why morale is shot... water for the troops is located at the command post, so if you are thirsty, feel free to hoof it 5 blocks through the crowd for a water. Nice.

sandy jackson will definately vote FOR the olympics. I met some developer who was telling me abut his land deals and how she was helping him get permits to build luxury condos around hyde park. Told me , he pays "broker commisions" under the table for favors. Clammed up after a mutual friend told him I was on the job.
I'll be dropping the name of the company to a reporter I know ...
