Nice Work

The ability is still there. The skills remain. It's just in a reactive mode.
  • One person was killed in a shooting tonight on the West Side and police arrested several suspects following a more than seven-mile pursuit that ended in a Southwest Side alley, officials said.

About 8:20 p.m., police were notified of a person shot near Homan and Ogden Avenues. About 20 minutes later, officials said, a vehicle fleeing the scene from police got boxed in to an alley near 70th Street and Fairfield Avenue.

Four people bailed from the vehicle, but found themselves surrounded by responding officers a short time later, officials said. A weapon was also confiscated.

Very good work Officers.

This happened 10 feet away from the 010 station lot. Getting VERY brazen out there. In other news, J-fed says morale is just fine because the police chased this guy so far away.

And where's the lawsuit?

Where's the media coverage of how these shitheads' civil rights have been violated by being arrested?

Where's BobbleWeis vowing to fire these officers for upsetting whatever racial community these shitsticks come from?

This just aint a believable story without the standard aftermath of standard policework in Chicago.

Good Job for All Involved in This One.

No Cops Hurt, No Crashes, St. Michael was Looking out for Us.

Keep in Mind if You Are Involved in a Pursuit... DO NOT SCREAM IN TO THE RADIO !!!!

Stay safe, if chasing someone try to keep calm as possible and keep talking as if you were describing a round of golf.

Midnight watch in the 008th District is the best watch in the city. Reminds me of the old days. Just wish there were more like them.

My guess is that the helicopter was flying around in circles at the Taste providing nothing to anybody other than numerous very expensive event numbers.

It's a shame they didn't resist. Until your court system is fixed, Honor student funerals are better than probation.

Of course, I'm not advocating shooting anyone in cold blood. The good thing about being a civilian is that I don't have to worry about having to try to arrest someone who presents a threat to me.

********

are you high? that was the WORST use of the radio and the giving of direrctions Ive ever heard. Great work in the end, but from the couple of dummies working the radio to the idiot dispatcher, it was a pathetic spectacle. Add in the ass that proclaimed at least three time is a row "I recovered a gun squad!!!" so much for securing a crime scene in the event the offender(s) made good their escape and evidence needed to be processed the right way. About the only positive is that no coppers got hurt.
Enjoy your lawsuit filed on behalf of some liberal attorney even though 3 jagoffs got pinched for murder.

I am assuming there were no exempts or high ranks involved. Another example of the fact that police officers know what to do, they just need to be left alone and let do them do their job. We don't need micromanaging. We need to use our own brains and instincts and do what we were trained to do. Excellent job officers.

It seems a number of witnesses changed their testimony on the stand after Johnson already spent 11 years in prison leading to the questionable acquittal. Bottom feeding lawyers twisted the civil trial to their own ends, suppressing information on Johnson's gang banging past and the fact that the FBI of all people "busted Johnson last year for allegedly selling drugs" while he was a member of CeaseFire.

Yup. Go get 'em boys. The city has your back.

Chief Williams was on seen, that was the only high rank I saw. Great job by all. To the poster busting on people for getting excited on the radio or yelling, you know the deal, it was the real deal high speed chase, hearts were pumping, you get excited, you tend to yell in the radio, human nature. They all got caught, they didn't stand a chance, they were boxed in, so people know were they were, Great job by all!

Days late, I know. Excellent work officers. I had flashbacks of the good old days. Loved the chase, still do, can't help it. Glad it wasn't called off, and very surprised too, with all these no ball bosses. Most glad our girls and boys were safe and sound.
