Phleger to Pfight Crime?
- The pastor of St. Sabina parish today said the shooter of two teens outside a church building is "not going to hide in our community."
Phleger must have gotten clearance from his gang banging handlers to beat the drum against "gun violence" and the rival faction that lit up the churchyard.
- On Saturday, about 120 parishioners attended a prayer vigil at the church prior to the 5 p.m. mass, Pfleger said. He said a "tremendous amount" of people have phoned in leads on the shooting, which the church is turning over to police.
And not a word that this is what the parishioners should have been doing anyway, that citizens should participate in the community and "no snitching" habits should be universally condemned. And of course, not a mention that certain "outraged" reverends have been encouraging this sort of behavior for years by painting the police as the enemy.
- "You're not going to shoot in this community -- we're coming for you," Pfleger said, address whoever did the shooting during a phone interview. "We've put bounties on your head. You violated our space. ... you're not going to hide in our community."
We'll believe it when we see it. Phleger is an opportunist of the worst kind and deserves nothing but contempt for his behavior over the past years. His selective memory, deliberate ignorance and divisive oratory have sown the seeds of what is being reaped daily in Area Two.

The best part of the sound bite that I heard on WBBM was Phleger slipping more and more into ghetto dialect as he feigned disgust with the topic at hand.
Do you honestly think Phleger gives a fuck about the two bastards that were shot outside his "sanctuary"? Like the Jacksons, Meeks, et al, Phleger's only concern is stirring the pot of controversy while elevating his pseudo-celebrity status amongst those less educated and more ignorant than he.
An opportunist to the core, he thrives on happenings like this to perpetuate his own personal agendas. "Apt Pupil" of the career criminals and con artists mentioned earlier is an understatement.
Wait and see how the department brass bends over backwards (again) to cater to his every whim regarding stepped-up patrols and special attentions around the parish.
In summation, Phleger is little more than a hemorrhoid dangling from the asshole that is the neighborhood and majority population surrounding St. Sabina. You know... the irritating addition that reminds you of it's perpetual presence, whether hugely annoying or just slightly uncomfortable. But never completely tolerable.
This clown is not a "father" of any sort. He is an extortionist and a lier! Our great mayor loves to attend Sox games with him.

Second City you hit the nail on the head with this post. Phleger fostered the mindset of "don't trust the police". Him along with the self appointed Reverends have been preaching this crap for years and now because it happened by "his" church he is concerned and outraged. I met the man last year at Christ Hospital and I was put in the position where I had to shake his hand, the jerk off gave me a look of disgust when he found out I was the police. Know reep what you sow, jag off.
Race pimp Phleger loves this! Being in the papers and on TV is what he lives for. He hinted that he might even "close the street" to keep his "kids" safe.

If Pfleger was such a great community leader and preacher as he claims to be, why wouldn't someone in the community come forward and give up the shooters? If he has so much influence, why does he have to put up a $5,000 reward to get these moral church going citizens to do the right thing? The pfact is that Pfleger is a complete pfailure as a leader. After all these years of giving speeches in his pfhony black accent and his dashiki vestments, he has not even been able to instill in his pflock the moral resposibility to come forward and tell the truth when a crime has been committed literally on the church grounds. Pfleger, the silence from your own pflock is deafening. And that silence says that for all your pfhony righteousness, and marching against cigarette and liquor billboards and sit ins at suburban gun stores, you have completely pfailed to provide any positive influence to the community. You should find a new line of work!

You may remember several years ago when some parents of kids who were participating in athletic programs in various Catholic school conferences expressed concerns about their kids havng to travel to St. Sabina's to play the games. Pfhony Pfleger pfreaked out charging all the parents and their kids and the Archdiocese with racism and the usual rants about how everyone but Pfleger and his pflock were wrong. Well, I'm glad my kids never had to play in any games in that neighborhood. Parents shouldn't have to endanger their children to try to prove that Pfleger's neighborhood and church are safe. Obviously, the area is war zone including the church campus. Nice job cleaning things up, asshat!

The reason that Father Phlegm is resentful towards the CPD is that the guys and gals who work his district every day, know exactly what he is. 7 shot within an hour in South Austin

Seven people, including a 9-year-old girl, were shot within an hour-long span tonight in the South Austin neighborhood on Chicago's West Side.

a few years back the wife and I were honeymooning on beautiful Maui, HI. (little to no gun crime area by the way). So i drop the new wife by the docks, park the car and when I walk up who do I have the great fortune of having on our snorkeling and drinking (alcohol that is) cruise, no other than the good rev, with two bodyguards from the hood in tow. Unfortunatly at the end of the day when the rum and bubbly were served the rev. declined. Kind of ironic though, all those anti liquor protest a while back, before he moved on to the great equalizer. And he would not take a picture w/me either! 8,000 miles and its like I never left home.

They really don't check anything anymore. Streets are mis-spelled or mis-named, locations are not where they are supposed to be, typo's. Do you ever watch the scrolls on the television screen? It's really sad and pathetic. It's like they have grammar school interns overseeing this stuff.

The parishes of Crist the King, St. Barnabas, St. John Fisher and other southwest side parishes financially subsidize that parish and have for 40 years.
