This is a way for the brass to reduce crime . Take coppers off the street to do paper work and there will be less crime. Do a arrest that takes two to three hrs because of fucked up computer systems equals less crime.
My Police car has just turned into a Fire Truck! It will sit in one place until it is called.
Well now that we know that it is real what will happen? Well 1st thet will now take EVEN MORE police off the street to answer the phones and file out the reports from the people that call in to make a report. But if we are smart we will just call the number ourselves and have our friends and family call and say how great of a job we are doing. How will they know if the call is legit? Everytime I see a car on the street I will call and report how nice and courteous the officer is.
Thats what we should all do. I have 1200 minutes on my phone. I will be using them now.

I think it is a great idea. I will now become a model driver, an example to my fellow citizens. Beginning forthwith and immediately I will no longer chase down citizens and issue tickets for the various forms of errant behavior behind the wheel that I witness each day.
I will simply drive in a legal and careful manner so as to be a good example to the citizens. I will maintain the speed limit and obey all traffic laws scrupulously.
Add the good driving to my already good behavior to avoid lawsuits and indictments and I have become a model officer for my Superintendent. No bad driving, no liability caused by bad arrests, no illegal activity whatsoever. In fact, no fucking nothing.
It is easier to explain to my WC as to why I do nothing than to justify an arrest in Federal Court or to answer a citizen complaint about why I did not signal my intentions on a turn.
Finally, after over 25 years I am getting this police stuff down pat. Thanks Jody. My job has gotten a lot easier since you blew into town.

my thinking as well, but take it a step further...
tie up the system with complaints on all sorts of license plate numbers, like from the mayor's security detail, burke's security detail, fed fraud's suv, bosses plate numbers, M-plate numbers from the fire dept, M-plate numbers from the suburbs, M-plate numbers from down cars in the parking lots, M-plate numbers from wrecked cars at area motor maintenance, and, hey, just any bullshit plate number you can come up with!
If and when this order ever goes into effect, if each and every PO, their wife, family and/or friends called in ONE plate per day, the program will be shut down in short order!

I Agree with EVERYTHING EXCEPT: The illegal u turn. If you are using the vehicle in an emergency situation, you are authorized to drive with disregard to the law, tehreby making your U turn legal....Unfortunately there will be an investigation anyways!!!

Those cracker jack box degree idiots aren't the worst. The worst ones are the ones with the law degrees who think they're God's gift to the department when they never had to work amongst the savages we deal with, nor make it in the real world with a law degree.
They typically have kissed several aldermanic asses and yet find themselves holding a JD and working for the police department. I guess the real world had no use for their bullshit ideas, so they come here and cram them down our throats.

But now, I will do what this department wants. I will pay so much attention to my driving AND nothing else. Afterall, since this is so important to J-Fed, I will do what he wants.
As a side note, when I worked my lock up facility last night. I made my rounds to make sure everyone is ok. I went from one cell block to another and I heard three shitheads talking to each other. They were talking about this website and how "now we can call the police and complain about their driving. From now on I am going to watch out for police driving like shit so I can complain to them".

I blame this stupid Directive on the count that Jody has never been DA POLICE nor driven a squad for 8hrs. straight. Jody do you now when you get a job assigned, on the PDT (Ha,Ha if you have one of those outdated junk in your car)it give what type of priority the job is. They go from a Priority 1(lights & sirens) to a Priority 4(no lights & siren required). So in between those codes a officer can respond without lights and sirens yet bypass traffic control devises when safe to do so while responding to that call. So to a citizen it might look like the officer is driving like a shithead when actually they are responding to a call.
Then you have Detectives responding to crime scenes who choose not to use light & sirens but arrive asap. You also have Narcotic and Tactical units who might be on surveillance on narcotic investigations and go into stealth mode when conducting the take down. These scenarios might also look like shithead moves to the public yet are justified driving maneuvers. So you are going to cause more paper work for Sgt.'s ,IAD,and IRPA to investigate vindictive citizens with an axe to grind instead of being available to investigate real crooked cops.
