Maybe it's my imagination, but whenever contract talks are afoot, the bad press seems to have no end. One might even think it's a purposive attempt to turn public opinion against us.
While I like the billboards FOP paid for, maybe it's time to hire a professional public relations firm, especially with all this "Cops are cracking down" (DUI) bullshit. These ads clearly make us the badguys - as if it's our idea to do all this DUI enforcement. Little does the public know that were it not for federal and state funding, little of this DUI enforcement would be going on.
Or maybe all this bad press is simply coincidence.

BOTH OF THEM (one more so than the other) adamantly promised to provide Federal authorities with "everything they knew". "If I'm going to the joint, everyone's going" was just one utterance I overheard.

The CTA Union official was quoted in the paper, the reporter who wrote the story is identified, the news corporation that the reporter works for is identified... These guys are nothing but Auxiliary officers hired by towns to do parade patrols or traffic control for special events.
They do wear a uniform for whatever department they are assigned to that particular day. They are not employed full time by any department so therefore can not carry a weapon unless they are en route to or from an assignment.
IPR has training for these officers but they are not state certified. Most of these guys are the ones who can not get a police job if they paid someone for it.
Keep be the working police, see where it will get you? JPUD, his fed buddies and the goofy CCSAO are thirsty to bust anybody but real criminals!!! This country is a fucking joke, I can't wait til it is completely Muslim, its got to be better than what we have now.

Why would federal agents be in 011 processing state offenders that have already flipped and agreed to 6 month sentences? How come no one else in 011 heard of this? Who knows? Why are they ranting even though they are all taking pleas? Who knows? Fortunately we have a lazy Sgt from 001 and a dog from 011 that claim to know everything.

.... Actually in many cases feds will turn their prisoners over to CPD to be processed at central detention and held overnight on a warrant. Then the next day the feds will take custody of the prisoner and bring them to the MCC in the morning . I'm Not saying the story about the 4 is true though.
The west side do nothing is correct...outside agencies including the Feds routinely book their prisoners arrested in the city limits in CPD lockups and have our employees do the printing and pictures because theyre not familiar with our systems. They prefer to have a civilian do the processing so the cop-arrestee has less of a chance of preferential treatment/sympathy/reminders to "keep your mouth shut" by CPD po's. Either way, a rep from IAD is almost always present, and usually a Field Lt or W/C if at all possible. These two guys that I believe west side do nothing was referring to were arrested in the city, and looking at the time of their arrests (early am hours and only minutes apart) Im guessing at their homes. Thats part of the Fed's break-a-copper-down tactics. Take you out in front of your crying wife and kids thinking thatll make you spill the beans. And simultaneously arresting the other cop(s) involved so no one can get a heads-up to their soon to be codefendants.
Just a couple of plays from the Fed book of arresting a copper or politician. Id bet everything I own that what the l/u keeper at c/d said is gospel.
Keep your nose clean kids, and you aint got nothing to worry about.
