Wow

It's awfully hard to blame this one on George Bush:

Almost bigger than all of Bush's deficits combined. And if Obama Care gets passed, his own people are projecting a $2 trillion expenditure on top of this deficit.

Anyone want to bet if Obama keeps to his "no raising taxes" pledge? Bush the Elder lost an election over his.

Its all part of the lifestyle reduction planned as part of globalization.

At the beginning of Bush's second term, the Rebuplicans spent like a bunch of drunken Dems. They were thrown out because of that. The Dems have a solid majority in the House and Senate and don't need the Republican vote for anything other than to fein bi-partisanship.

Anyone who thought that Obama was going to make a difference is incredably naive. All you had to do was pay attention to what he said and who his freinds were to understand he leans toward socialism. Instead you got caught up in his hope and change bullshit. Shame on you.

We're going to get change allright,a worthless dollar and high inflation is just around the corner. Then we can be just as irrelevant as Europe. Maybe we can look to Europe for aswers, after all They gave us Hitler, Mussallini, and Stalin. Have we all forgotten that the reason this country wasa founded was to get away from European religous and economic oppression.

I'm not an Obama fan, but that doesn't make me a Bush fan.

TARP I was signed by Bush before Obama was in office. That alone makes up at least 1/4 of the sudden deficit increase in January. Some of that money was paid back, but most of it went to AIG, who will never pay it back.

TARP I was signed by Bush with plans for TARP II. Bush was gone and Obama ultimately signed TARP II. Now you are up to about 1/2 of that sudden deficit increase.

Obama put the Iraq and Afganistan wars on the books, which Bush was leaving off the books. This adds on another 1/4.

Democrat orgy spending, promoted and signed by Obama, in the form of STIMULUS I is the last 1/4. STIMULIS II signed later on actually makes the debt even higher than the chart shows.

Fool yourselves as much as you want. Today, the differences between Democrats and Republicans is negligible. They only fool you by arguing about the bullshit. When it comes to money, they are both pigs at a trough.

They both spend every penny they can get their hands on and then they borrow more to spend more. The future is the last thing that any of them care about.

Not to worry, the Chinese will bail us out because the U.S. is too big to fail.

Obama didn't turn black until he went to college. He was raised white and then learned there's more money being black.

How many times did Bush blame Clinton for 9/11? Anyone who blames Bush is an idiot aka liberal. Bush was not perfect and made mistakes, but at least he made decisions and stood by them.

I hope Obama does do well because if he fails, we all fail. But I won't be surprised when the country is in ruins.

This is because Bush changed the way the deficit was calculated to exclude military spending. Obama has changed it back and it now accounts for the bankrupting wars that Bush started.

While some here probably appreciate the truth of the matter, there probably aren't a whole lot willing to examine their own part in America's problems.

Here we have government employees in a dying democratic city run to the ground by a series of corrupt mayors. Your salary and benefits are paid for by taxpayers and lenders willing to lend to the corrupt mayors. Your pension is barely half-funded, but supposedly the future children of Chicago will make you whole.

Social security? Why enrollment just jumped as seniors realized they don't otherwise have adequate incomes to pay their bills.

Does everyone here have a rainy day fund? Enough food money to last for a year? Enough ammunition to kill the first 100 looters through the door?

Its coming. The problems aren't just in Chicago or Cook County. Wealthy places in California and Colorado and Virginia and Massachusetts and New York are all crumbling slowly.

The money was never there. Not under Reagan (my hero!), not under Bush I, not under Clinton, and not under Bush II or Obama.

The U.S. is between a rock and a hard place, as there is not 2 trillion of extra cash floating around in the world waiting to buy more U.S. debt for year after year. There is not 2 trillion of private pension money, or Chinese foreign reserves, or private household savings.

And there is not funding for your retirement, your medical promises, your social security, or all the other promises made oh so many decades ago.

Can we have a rational discussion about politics please? It's NOT Bush's fault. It's NOT Obama's fault. NEITHER is it one of the parties.

It is the fault of the two parties PLUS the American people who for so long ALLOWED this to happen.

Both parties have spent money like drunken sailors. For example, under the so called conservative "limited government" Reagan, government expanded and so did government spending. Then each and every other Administration spent more than the previous one!

Our nation is awashed in debt. The federal government owes about 14 trillion dollars! States and cities have a deficit of 4 trillion dollars.

Want a scary fact? The interest the government pays on it's debt is the third larges expenditure! Right behing Medicare and defense and then the interest only on it's debt.

How long will this continue? NOT for long. Our nation is headed towards a dollar collapse in the foreign exchange and a long term reduction in our standard of living.

How would you pull us out of the worse recession since the great depression. in the great depression the government became the top employer. It took WW2 to jump start the economy again. BUSH sign the TARP, and the first simulus package. I agree that we need to work on the defecit, but what will we do to simulate the economy. Remeber POTUS BUSH lowered taxes, while adding spending of two wars. Now that also is great way to cut the defecit, only if you are a "c" student at yale. But If any of you have a better plan like let GM a employer that employs millions directly or indirectly fail then say yes to 15 to 25 percent unemployment. Then you all will say look at OBAMA he caused this high unemployment. This started in the Housing market under POTUS BUSH, and was very close to being a depression. Who has not made money on deffered Comp recently.

During the last two years of the Bush admin.the House and Senate were controled by the Dems. Remember that all Bills go through the House, the Senate and then the Prez. The Prez does author some Bills, but they still have to go through House and Senate, usually looking quite different from the original. The Dems were close to an veto proof majority all they needede was a few squirrely Rep. votes. During Bush's last two years, when Bush said up they said down, when Bush said left, they said right. The Dems were eager to vote for the first stimulus and the TARP. I think Bush said to himself, Fuck it I'm out of here soon, If the Dems want to create this mess then they can get themselves out of it.

The real problem is that the Dems don't see us with any real problems, after all isn't this what leads to Socialism.

All you oldtimers out there, you better get yor wheelchair and a spot along the lakefront picked out, that way your family doesn't have to push you so far, because here comes socialized medicine.
