How about Office space? 4th floor at 35th and Michigan, Asst Supt Office. NEVER used for police related work.

Maybe AD Space on Weis' forehead. Shit, any business will get a lot of exposure, on all the major news channels and outlets.

It's Christmas Time. maybe Wal-Mart could paint something on there.

Shit, sell chicago's lakefront, it's all littered with poison anyway. From E-Coli to crack pipes to the floaters.

Sell the el-trains as a handymans special, or maybe all the new Police stations as a handymans special.

Have you seen the major faultline in the 001st District station?

Remember Dickie, SELL to the high bidder and HIRE the low bidder.
With weis I think you confused the 2

Here's an open question to post, SCC:
In light of the City of Chicago's extreme budget inadequacies, why not find a way to get Meig's Field up and running, once again being utilized and bringing in tax revenue, or perhaps privatized. Is there a petition that we could get moving around on this one? With the millions of dollars lost during this budget crisis, closing that airport seems to be the most inane and irresponsible executive move ever in the history of this city's government.

Advertise on city vehicles and CPD & CFD first responders. We should be able to get beat cars painted up like NASCAR as advertisers will get their logos on the news for each film at 10pm story. Ghetto vehicles will garner the highest revenue with highest income coming from cars assigned to CPS.

Patrick Daley will sell "his" story to Pravda, the state run Russian newspaper, in exchange for a lifetime of free vodka and caviar. The Russians were hoping that the Daley spawn would also reveal military "secrets" until they discovered that the only secrets he really had were how to participate in the military without really trying.

At 0500hrs NBC Channel 5 was on scene at the Target Store at Logan and Elston in 014.

The cameras were inside the store showing how "peaceful" everything was as the shoppers entered the store.

By 0529hrs after the cameras and the media sluts left;
2 savages beat the shit out of each other in the electronics section . . . nothing changes.

Get me the fuck out of this city.

For obvious reasons, I must remain anonymous. I represent my ward in the City Council. While contributions to your alderman's campaign fund vary, I offer some basic rules of thumb.

All contributions must be in cash, preferably in nonsequential $100 bills.

Generally speaking, if you lack political or family connections, you can attain merit promtions as follows:

Sergeants $10,000.
Lieutenants $25,000.
Captains $40,000.

In many cases, you may have a close and retired relative who has served the City with LOYALTY. He or she should make the actual donation in your name. No refunds. So as not to embarrass the CPD, the merit candidate must have an IQ of at least 60. This allows for abject morons.

In my next post, I will deal with merit transfers to specialized units and promotions to exempt positions.

By city ordinance, the shanks should have been limited to the length of a current mayoral term when granting or selling leases for city-owned assets, such as the airports, the Skyway, the parking meters, etcetera, and each lease would be up for dissolution, continuance or renegotiation with the beginning of a new mayoral term, regardless of the occupant of the mayor's office.

Further, city-owned land should never be sold, other than at auction with a reserve price equal to the current market value plus an adjustment for projected or estimated added value from planned, known, or established public works projects or city sponsored neighborhood enhancement or improvement projects.

Fuck you shortie. Shanks should not have been allowed to keep his thieving hands firmly grasped around publicly owned assets until 50 years or more after his death.

lease northerly island to those who want the access.

all costs of restoration to be covered by leasee, leassor to receive $1 per year for as long as it takes for leasee to recover monies spent for restoration.

would generate more short and long term economic benefits than the parking meter lease fiasco.

Whoa 11/27/2009 09:16:00 AM

I have never read those figures but I remember a family member quote them. Judgeships too as you later reference.

My gramps was a Northside Ward Comitteeman when Chicago was run by the IL version of Republivans.

Remember seeing lots of photos gramps had of Mayor Thompson and Judge Nelson and others.

As much as things change in Chicago, they seem to stay the same.

Check out the excerpt for Mayor Thompson from Wikipedia

You can take out Thompson's name and replace it with Daley's and be spot-on!

From Wikipedia

"For Chicago Thompson has meant filth, corruption, obscenity, idiocy and bankruptcy.... He has given the city an international reputation for moronic buffoonery, barbaric crime, triumphant hoodlumism, unchecked graft, and a dejected citizenship. He nearly ruined the property and completely destroyed the pride of the city. He made Chicago a byword for the collapse of American civilization. In his attempt to continue this he excelled himself as a liar and defamer of character.[4]
Upon Thompson's death, two safe deposit boxes in his name were discovered to contain nearly $1.5 million in cash.[5]"

I retired a few year ago and moved out of Mt. Greenwood. I return now and then. I am surprised on how bad Mt. Greenwood looks, how run down the business section is ( 111th st). Why do people keep voting in the same old hacks who just game you, such as Rugai and State Rep . Joyce? You have no one to blame but yourselves. I hear from residents on how great and friendly these prople are, how well they take care of the police and fire. All I cn say is BULL!!!

The city will never release under the freedom of information act anything to do with merit promotions. This falls under ( I believe) personnel matters which are exempt. The unions should go for having a representative on the academic selection board as a voting or non-voting representative. Take the secrecy out of this process. There have been attorneys who have made merit Lieutenant ( 2 I know of).If they can't pass a test then no one can. But, why study when you don't have to??

You can't mention Bonaguro without Johnny L and Frank R---who was exiled to Fillmore for holding back on his Commander. Made it work for him though. The envelopes from the policy runners alone helped put an addition on Frank's house.

Makes you wonder why some people want to become the police when they don't have an honest bone in their body.
