I love it when non-respected supervisors get all flustered and threaten disciplinary sanctions over juvenile shit like this - it makes me smile, laugh and hellbent on making and putting up three times as many copies as I originally started with.

He told me that the arbitrator the FOP agreed upon (BEENE) just ruled on the state police contract. He gave them a 1%raise and actually admonished them for requesting any raise in this economy. Can someone please verify this out there. If so maybe thats why the 4 and 2 was agreed upon. I think we are getting no raise and no retro. Thanks FOP!

Tribune reports that the mayor has mysteriously found another 45 million dollars to spend on upgrades to Northerly Island and Grant Park. With cost overruns it will likely be closer to another 100 million dollar Millenium Park fiasco. I hope the unions are keeping track and forwarding this info. to the arbitrator. The city must not be as broke as they claim to be but of course we already knew this.

This is funny but more important topics like starting a petition to require citizens to vote on whether the city sells its assets is more important!
Here's an idea, why don't you start one that all citizens would not hesitate to sign? I am sure you could get at least a million signatures. I know a lot of people in this city would be for signing a referendum that prevents a sitting mayor to sell off revenue assets of our city, such as our airports and water systems, when those sales will affect the economy of this city for DECADES after the prick is gone.
Just heard the parking meter company is making a million a day. If this city is so broke why are we selling off such stellar assets so someone else can make the million a day? This is shortsighted at best. Criminal at worst.
This makes me think that the mayor is setting this city up to fall, with an attitude of "If I can't run this city, no one else will be able to" attitude.
The citizens of this city should be able to VOTE on whether our assets are sold. After all we are the ones who keep this city awash in cash.
Help out SCC. Start a referendum on this for the future of this city.

The last paragraph caught my eye. Sounds like Daley is trying to make up for the city's failure to properly fund our pension by taking the money out of our pockets instead of the city's funds. So then I guess that this 5 year contract he proposes only comes with a monetary offer that only covers half it's time.
Let's see.......10% over 5 years. That equals 2% a year over the life of the contract. BUT the first 2 1/2 years of raises go directly into our pension fund. Now we are down to 5% so I guess in reality it would be like getting a 1% over 5 years.
Remind me on how much money his nephew stole.....oops, sorry, borrowed from our pension?
