Furlough Calendars and More

The boys over at FiveFrank.com have updated their tool section. They even have a calculator available to figure retro wages which, based on the way Daley is acting lately, are a foregone conclusion.

Their link is in the right hand margin.

And all comments saying "no retro" will be deleted. You can say "we told you so" at a later date.

I'm a watch rep from 007. All we have been told so far is that we should hear from the arbitraiter around the end of march. Not much else at this point, there was a meeting last week at the hall but have not heard anything from that. Sorry I know it's not much, but that's all I have, maybe a rep. Could give more insight as a watch rep that's about all we get and that was told at the regular general meeting.

Hi,

First, I just wanted to say thanks to SCC for taking the time to post this information. Also, thank you to everyone who's emailed me with positive comments and constructive criticism; I'm glad people are finding these tools useful.

As was mentioned, the Police Calendar and Furlo Optimizer now work for the alternate work schedules (4-2, 6-3, and 10-hour). Before you make any decisions based upon these applications, please take the time to verify the information in our calendars with the calendars provided by F.O.P. Obviously, we tested our applications, but, as with any software update, a mistake may have been made somewhere.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement.

Thanks again!

OFF TOPIC

Was RDO Monday and at a burger and beer place in the suburbs for lunch when the words "Weis fired" scrawled across the TV screen---almost bought a round for everyone in the place...

Welcome to the technological age asshat! That's why we have reps and that's what the "current updates" button on the FOP website is for. Only problem is that the updates rarely if ever have anything to do with the contract. Thanks to the rep from 007 who did respond though. I do appreciate it.

arbitration meetings will be held in january. they most likely will go quickly. we should know by march. then city council needs to approve. they will, no matter what a certain few say. if not, it goes to court to be upheld.

Do not elect anymore Dineens, Nolans, Donahues! All cut from the same "city hall" cloth! They all slept with Daley over the years and that is why we are where we are! "Don't say anything, be quiet, do not take on stance on this" when they're ready they will let us know," etc.!Daley and his phony Christmas tree! Where are the unions, McHugh Const,Kenny, Ryan Ins, Pritzkers, Crownes, all who have made zillions from Chicago? Could they have got together and spent a few bucks to put up a respectable tree? No, we have to make it look like we are broke! Another scam brought to you by Daley and his 50 thieves! Maybe Burke could raffle off one of his green tams or derbys and get us a nice tree! Everyone is in hiding now since the DALEY O'LYMPICS flopped!

O.T. Just received the latest update from the FOP. So let's play a little game.....can anyone find the mistake(s) in the following email update?

The Lodge and City will have their first two meetings with Arbitrator Benn on Friday, January 11, 2009 and Monday, January 14, 2009. A third meeting has been set for Wednesday, January 13, 2010.

WOW! Our Union is not only burning the midnight oil, they have gone back in time!

We're screwed.

Sorry for the long post, but I have no other way of responding to this, since the original poster is anonymous...

Select the year (2010 for the current furlo picks), whatever work schedule you'll be in next year, the DOG you'll be in next year, and what your seniority will be at the start of next year (this isn't 100%, since if you hit 5, 10, or 15 years sometime next year, your v-days will obviously change). Click the "Go!" button.

The table that appears contains what your furlo could look like for every period and segment in the year. The base start and end dates are the dates your furlo would start and end if you didn't burn any days. Weekend RDO's is a count of the number of Saturday's and Sunday's your furlo segment will run through; this doesn't really matter in the 4-2 and 6-3 schedules. The columns for days burned on the front and end represent the number of days you'd have to burn on the front or the end of your furlo in order to hook up with your RDO's; if the number is zero, this means that your RDOs are more than 3 days away from the start or the end of your furlo segment. Actual start and end dates are the dates your furlo would start and end, taking the RDOs and days burned on the front and end into account. Total days burned is the number of days you'd have to burn in order to end up with the actual start and end dates, total days off is the length of the furlo in days.

Hope that answers your question.
