Another Washington State Shooting

  • Two Pierce County sheriff's deputies were seriously wounded late Monday after they were "ambushed" while responding to a domestic-violence call, according to the Sheriff's Department.

The shooting suspect, identified as 35-year-old David E. Crable, was shot and killed in the Monday night shootout near Eatonville, sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said.

A deputy, shot multiple times, was in critical condition early Tuesday morning after being flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was undergoing surgery, Troyer said.

Another domestic call. Another ambush. And again, in Pierce county.

Prayers only.

UPDATE: Both are alive at this point, though one has undergone extensive surgery. Suspect is dead.

What is going on in that neck of the woods?

N/W Washington is getting like NYC and Chicago was in the early 70s for Police.

God Bless the two deputies, hoping they make a speedy and full recovery.

SCC,

What is going on over at Pierce County?!

This absolutely sickens me. I pray for those officers there.

I'm thankful that they are still alive and wish for a speedy recovery.

At least the POS is dead!

Everyone please be safe out there.

I worry about all of you.

Dear SSC,
It seems that Sergeant Hauser has been released from the hospital and will be able to spend Christmas at home. According to Ed Troyer, spokesman for Pierce County SO, he wanted to see his partner first.

Deputy Kent Mundell continues in critical condition with a head wound as a source of major concern.

My heart goes out to him and the Mundell family. Thank heavens the Hauser family is still in once piece.
