Another Parolee Arrested?
Quinn just can't catch a break...and that's probably a good thing:
- A 53-year-old man has been taken into custody after a high-speed chase in northwest Indiana in connection with a shooting this morning in south suburban Merrionette Park.
- Police received a call at 6:30 a.m. for a man with a gun in the 11800 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Merrionette Park, police said in a news release.
Officers found an adult man and an adult woman shot with non-life-threatening injuries, and another adult woman and a girl battered, police said. They declined to comment further. - The man was wanted on a parole violation in Illinois and a warrant was issued for his arrest this week, Pritchett said.
What will Quinn screw up by next week?

I encourage everyone to make a political donation to the campaign of Scott Brown for Senate in MA. It is for the vacant Kennedy senate seat. This guy just pulled ahead of the Democrat Coakley in the polls. She was the "puppet" hand picked by the Kennedys and the establishment.
Brown smoked her in the debates, and corrected her when she implied it was the Kennedy senate seat. He in essence said it wasn't the Kennedy's seat but the "peoples seat" and vowed to win.
The Democrats are on the ropes in MA now. Barney Frank has said if Brown wins the healthcare reform bill "will fail".
I just gave $35.00.
Brown is capable of ending the 50 year Kennedy monopoly in MA. He is also a LT.Colonel in the US Army reserves. Lets support him.
Can we take anyone seriously that defends Pat Robertson? He is a horrible person that extorts money out of peoples beliefs. Hell has a nice warm spot for him.

They are shaking up the D-unit so that 80% of the manpower they had before the 55 and out will do 120% of the work because there will be NO new detectives made in 2010!
No changes, just a whole lot a shakin going on! They can't figure out what else to do, oh, wait, that is the bosses who are shaking. My mistake. Disregard.

..how about that crazy, and I mean crazy sgt from 019...can't remember his name, blond/balding and literally a bonified nut case.
D unit? 20% do all the work anyway, while 80% do nothing or tail on someone else's case. Sgt's fault for not making the lazies work and clear up cases.

I totally agree with your support for Scott Brown in Massachusetts.
However, under Dukakis, Willie Horton was a convicted MURDERER serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole for robbing and fatally stabbing a cooperative 17-year-old gas station attendant in Lawrence, MA in 1974. Horton put the victim's body in a dumpster.
Unlike the other 49 states, MA allowed convicted robber murderer Horton out on a "weekend furlough". He never returned.
He was later arrested and charged with twice raping a local woman in Oxon Hill, MD after pistol-whipping, knifing, binding and gagging her boyfriend and forcing him to watch the sexual assaults.
Maryland refused to allow extradition to Massachusetts because of the liberal Commonwealth's notoriety for being "soft on crime". Horton is now serving two life terms plus 85 years in the penitentiary at Jessup, MD.
It is beyond dispute. Massachusetts is the most liberal state in the nation. We desperately need Scott Brown.

You are correct. Death row is at Pontiac and lethal injection is carried out at Tamms, over 300 miles south. Tamms is the Illinois "supermax" regularly housing the very worst of the worse (except those facing execution).

Despite such suspicious behavior, a passing Cambridge P.D. squad car ignored him and proceeded to lunch.

Let see Big bird wrote you up because you were breaking the rules,correct? a lot of you lock people up because they are breaking the rules, correct? Coppers are always looking for the easy way out, that is the main reason our department is so fucked up, piss poor attitudes. Yes people have been screwed over along the way, but walking around saying, " I didn't get this or I they didn't give me that" is not going to help the problem.
This department could turn 180 degrees and every thing could be legit and the same people would find something else to bitch about.
When the frick did this sense of entitlement take over our job? Those of you with clout expect to be given everything and those of you without clout waste all your time and energy worrying, bitching, complaining, about how you were left out, how you got screwed. You know what you got? Paid, the 1st,10th,16th, 22nd, have your check ever been late or bounced?
Let's start focusing on banning together instead of tearing each other down all the time.
I can't believe so many posts were wasted comparing 17's problems to 007's, each one trivializing the others. We are supposed to stick together, as always the ones who fuck up the best things on this job, are other coppers.

Was that post concerning the clearnce rate serious? This job really has become a complete JOKE!!! "Hey boss, can you get on some of my fellow detectives about their clearance rates? I'm worried about our units numbers." Sad thing is that this goof is probably really a Detective. What happened to this job???

Really? Big Bird used to go to check off and gig people who's shoes werent shined. this was after they worked 8 hours answering jobs in all sorts of weather. If an Inspector caught me fair and square then I would take my medicine. What Big Bird did was the same as planting dope or follwing a car waiting for the tail light to burn out.
And no, I don't lock up everyone breaking the "rules". I use this thing called discretion.
