What Is He Smoking?

  • Mayor Richard M. Daley made a robust pitch for job creation today, proposing that businesses that create and guarantee good-paying jobs with benefits for life be exempt from paying federal taxes.
How about you eliminate the "head tax" locally Mr. Mayor? That's killing jobs inside city limits. And Stroger? We're thinking of pushing for everyone to vote for the Toddler because he's the most beatable candidate in the general elections coming up. And how about that massive tax increase Pat Quinn is running on? Talk about your tone-deaf democrats.

Shortshanks gets one thing right though:
  • Daley also urged federal officials to stop bashing Wall Street. "You can rap and beat up the business community on a daily basis in Washington, but they create jobs," he said. "Government does not create jobs."
That's for certain.

Is that why he is having Haitians shipped to Chicago? Don't we have enough people out of work here. I thought we were broke. I feel very bad for them for certain but I just don't have the money to pay for their upkeep and housing. God bless them.

WEST SIDE SHELTER TAKES IN HAITIAN REFUGEES
January 21, 2010 7:06 AM

The approximately 75 Haitian refugees who arrived at O'Hare International Airport Wednesday night are now living in a homeless shelter on the city's West Side.

The earthquake victims are at the Chicago Christian Industrial League shelter at 2750 W. Roosevelt Road run by the Safehaven Foundation in the Lawndale neighborhood.

WOW! Great idea, Mayor Stupid Fuck!

I guess these people weren't already being TERRORIZED enough in HAITI by machete wielding thugs. Now they're being dropped into Chicago's West side? OMG, they are REALLY fucked, now!

Give it a month and I'll BET we'll be reading about one of these people being MURDERED in our highly advanced society without machete wielding thugs! Our thugs are much more civilized. Ours bite off body parts!

It will make INTERNATIONAL headlines!

Maybe that will help us get our convention business back?!?

Uh, isn't the police a government-created job? Fire department? Streets and San? the only thing keeping this town from being Cleveland or Detroit is that the tens of thousands of city workers have to live in the city. Not fair, perhaps, but reality.

Too late to eliminate the head tax, too many good paying jobs have already left for lower property tax suburbs. Once gone they will stay gone. Those jobs are NOT coming back. What is left to keep here? Burger flipper jobs? Working a cash register that has pictures of hamburgers and drinks instead of numbers? Might as well turn McCormick Place into homeless shelters because these shows aren't coming back just daley throws them a few crumbs. And prepare for those massive bond defaults that the few wage earners left will have to pay for.

"Government does not create jobs."

That is the most truth shorty has ever spoken in his life, and the most hypocritical.

Businesses create jobs, but everything he does drives them out of the city.

Who's exactly beating up on businesses Mr. Mayor?

The Haitians en route to Chicago will be the new democratic voters. Nothing to see there... We (taxpayers) will as usual be footing the bill for this.

Shortshanks is a self deluded greasy little turd who never had a care or concern in life other than the desire to have people kissing his ass and taking revenge on those who don't.

He is the prototypical village idiot... Hiding down the communal privy hole clutching a fistful of burning twigs and giggling, waiting for the next person to come take a shit so he can hold a fire under their ass.

Think about this.

Isn't 42 short in a contract negotiation with J-fed to continue J-feds reign for an extension for 1 more year? This is J-feds LAST year on the 3yr - $930,000.00 contract, right?

Government doesn't create jobs but Dick sure does. How many mid management spots have been created since shanks took over? How many of his people have been given jobs with various companys that get city contracts?

it's da Chicago way.

What jobs have they created? And how does that help the good citizens of the Austin District?
Mayor Daley is an ass and it is more then obvious that his empire is crashing in. Soon he will longer be mayor of the city, he can sit in his Michigan home and watch the next mayor struggle to get out of the debt that Daley has created. Thanks for leasing everything and making sure everyone you knew had a solid 100K plus job with benefits. I guess Daley forgot the city of Chicago was known as the city of big shoulders, a blue collar working city... If one of his many staff members hand any balls maybe they could have reminded him of that to ensure that he himself did not forget where he comes from. Hey Daley someone once told me it's hard to know where you are going when you can not remember where you come from... Guess you always had the golden ticket, but who built your home, protected it and your family? When is the next mayoral election again? Enough of this guy and his ego already.

Wall Street is creating jobs? That is a joke. Wall Street is a casino. They use our money to bet on derivatives, futures contracts, foreign currency swaps, the forex market, etc... and then when they are right, they get to keep all of the money. But if they are wrong and lose and lose big time, guess who gets to take the loss? You the taxpayer.

As a nation we are headed towards some serious trouble because we have allowed the corrupt to pillage the treasury.

If we offered a test now, can you imagine the number and quality of applicant we would get? The pool that we would be able to select from with how many people out of work? I say we have a test and hire the 2000 plus officers we need to bring the department back to strength. Doing more with less is a concept to be used in the private sector not the public sector that provides security and the services that police and fire do. Don't be short and ignorant your entire life Daley do something right be for you leave.
