No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

  • Three police officers rescued a 5-year-old boy who accidentally fell 10 feet into a hole and a man was Tased after allegedly punching the officer who scooped the child up after being lowered into the hole by his ankles Thursday night on the Northwest Side.

No one was seriously hurt and three men, including the man Tased, who allegedly punched the officers and fought with them were charged with misdemeanors, police said.

Say what now? We thought people appreciated heroic efforts?
  • But while paramedics were trying to render aid to the child, a relative of the boy, 17, allegedly became “very belligerent,’’ and tried to climb into the ambulance. When medics called for police assistance, the teen allegedly punched Morrison in the chest, the report said.

While the teen was placed in handcuffs, another man on the scene — 29-year-old Pedro Bahena — allegedly became irate, and was yelling and swearing at the officers. Pinal tried to calm him down but Bahena then allegedly punched Pinal, who Tased Bahena and subdued him, the report said.

This city is lost - people who should be thankful the cops took the initiative and lowered their partner into a 10-foot-deep hole without the aid of ropes or safety harnesses before the Fire Department even arrived end up attacking the paramedics and cops who went beyond the call of duty. Fucking jagoffs, each and every one of them.

Ernie Brown. Un-fucking believable. The clown was being sent to Israel by the Department. Israeli Intelligenge checks his back ground for security clearance. They find a shitload of lies regarding education and degrees. The day he is leaving, Israeli Intelligence denies him entry. Cline went nuts! Today he is the Chief of Patrol. This administration is intentionally attempting to ruin the Chicago Police Department. It's all Feds now, except for that turncoat fucking Peterson. Actually he's not one of us, he's one of those cocksuckers.

WTF,

How is that a misdeneanor? While my drunk-ass wife tried to drive off with my daughter, I put the wife in a bear hug. I was charged with two felonies. ( pleaded down, but still complete bs) Then again I was in Dupage county.

"This city is lost..." -- SCC

Yeah, there was just a "hit-and-run" that killed a nine-year-old girl -- and the elderly driver knew enough to run before all his racial compatriots could get down off the porches and drag him out of the van and beat him to death.

It's something to do...

At least they're not "necklacing" yet, as in Mandela's South Africa --sending screaming victims staggering down the street with a burning tire jammed down over their arms, incinerating their heads.

Give it time.

Those coppers risked their lives going down ten feet -- there can be toxic fumes at the bottom that can kill a man. Then someone goes down to rescue him and also passes out...the classic "confined space" pattern of multiple deaths.

Too bad the crazed relatives weren't dumped into the hole and the thing filled in, tamped down firmly, and cemented over to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic...and spare us the Teddy bears and candles and ribbons and s__t. Just a street repair...

Old Retired Guy Here. Yes, I have experienced similar responses. Some can be blamed on the fact that the person in intoxicated, and does not appreciate the situation. Some can be blamed on the fact, that the person is too stupid to understand that the police and fire dept. are trying to help. Yes, and some can be blamed on the fact, that a lot of people are just BFJ's, and will use any excuse to have a confrontation with police.
PS: Have A Nice Day ???

''people'' have low IQ s and are emotional idiots. they are ''allowed'' to act out their public hysteria at a moments notice. the officers should have called in a ''drama defuser'' offficer to save the day. yeah right....taking a dump is high drama to them!

Soooo?

We wonder what would have happened if the responding officers did it "by the numbers" and waited for fire?

We can see the headlines now...

"Child Suffocates In Hole (due to parental negligence) While Police Do Nothing, (standing by for CFD) According To Grieving Family."

(Loevy, while sporting a huge woody has a grabber chasing the ambulance)

"Lawsuit Filed Against CPD In Child-In-A-Hole Incident, (again, what the fuck were the parents doing?) Supt. Franken-Head Vows Vengeance, uhh Thorough Investigation."

"Officers Who Threw Child Into a Hole (typical Chicago media slant) Stripped Of Police Powers, Arrested, Terminated, Jailed, Sued Into Poverty and Federally Indicted." (before the end of the their tour of duty the very same day.)

The day of the Police doing a good deed for purely the sake of doing a good deed is done.

Very well then.

Self, family, friends and the "too thin" Blue Line first before any and all others.

Respond.

Observe.

Report.

Arrest on signed complaint ONLY!

Disengage.

Do what you can to minimize exposure to this madness to go home as human as you were when you left to go to work.

Enduring to reach a long, healthy and happy retirement is a more worthwhile goal than anything you can do on this job.

Hey, officers, just a regular jane citizen here, not involved in any of the police activity, but a mom, and I just want to thank the officers who rescued the little boy, and all the officers who keep us from falling [further] into chaos. You are appreciated for all you do, especially this incident, and don't let the turkeys get you down, the majority of people in Chicago know what you do under the most trying of circumstances and thank you for it.

I stopped 3-m/4's for yelling gang slogans at passing cars, and running into the street after another car. As we were talking to them their parents arrived and i informed them what they were doing. guess what i was told by all of the parents, "you only messing with them because we are mexicans". Unfucking real. No i did not lock them up, becasue i knew i would have to wait 3-hrs for youth. But i did do contact cards and then drove around the area for 1-hour and got me 20 parkers for pick up trucks parked on residential..stop judging me, it made me feel better.

From the web site of State's Attorney Anita alvarez;

In addition, this bureau has handled the prosecution of police officers for crimes ranging from murder to official misconduct. Over the past dozen years, the office has prosecuted more than 150 police officers. In the past year, federal authorities joined the office’s investigation into the Chicago Police Department’s Office of Special Operations. That investigation has resulted in charges against nine officers

The 17 yrs old relative tried to get into the ambo with the victim.
Paramedics called the police, 17 yr old did not want to follow a lawful order and then puched the PO.
No copnspiracy here. No stories not being told.

The charmer of that story was that mama told Pepe to go peepee in the bushes, mind you, they lived nearby. I recall that little girl (Jessica ?) that fell down a well years ago, big news story, daily national coverage, Heros made when she was finally pulled out. But that doesn't happen here, the news put more emphasis on the idiot mother, the idiot kid and his idiot relatives. *** To the poster that went out and wrote 20 parkers.... GOOD! , Tney won't pay them anyway, they'll get the boot, towed and it applies to any veh they own too, not just the plate with all the tickets. Makes them less likely to run some other 11yr old over fleeing a DUI. The Parking Violation is not about revenue for Shanks - these deadbeats don't & won't pay. It's a public service, takes away a DUI weapon & a give up a parking space. I try to write these everyday so they become boot eligible. Keep a SS tow driver employed, order a hook on a junker today.

the best part of this is that if you read the whole article on the suntimes website the reason the kid fell in is bc he had to go pee and his mom told him to go near the bushes and piss.........fucking animals

Just keep doing what you guys do. There will always be shitheads, there will always be bullshit internal politics and petty squabbles in the department, there will always be ingrate assholes who make it seem like everyone's against the police, but believe me. Everyone is not against the police. Very, very few are against you guys. You're fighting on behalf of a large, silent majority who is growing less and less 'silent' with each passing year.

When you patrol the taste and other city events, you aren't doing it for the shitbirds. You're doing it for me, my mother, my daughter, your mothers, your daughters. My elderly father. Your fathers. Don't let a small handful of turds who hail from wretched, failed cultures make you think the entire city is against the police. The productive, upright city of Chicago is behind you 100%. Don't let the outliers make you think otherwise. Your job is to throw those assholes in jail and every time one of them perpetrates some anti-social bullshit against police, smile. Even laugh, if you want. Then, place them in handcuffs, deliver them to lockup and FORGET THE FUCK ABOUT THEM because no one gives a shit about them. By acting that way, they were doing society a favor by giving us cause to remove them from our midst.

Thanks for the job you do.
