A domestic fight led to a shooting that critically wounded a little girl in stroller in a Grand Crossing park early Monday on the South Side.
At 12:06 a.m., a 1-year-old girl was shot “through and through” the shoulder in the 7600 block of South Dobson Avenue, according to police News Affairs[...].
The little girl was in a stroller outside in a park at the Dobson address when she was shot, and left in “very, very critical,’’ condition, a Calumet Area detective said.
A group of people including several relatives were in the park when the incident began. Two men who both have children with a young woman who was also on the scene began arguing, according to a Gresham District police lieutenant.
Anyone else see a whole laundry list of problems here that isn't being addressed by Jesse, Al, Phluck-head, Meeks and the rest of the "holy rollers" and poverty pimps?

Wait for it---wait for it. The shooting wouldn't have happened if the after-hours ordinance had been enforced---it's all the fault of the Park District and the Police Department.

Who in the right mind would have a 1 year old out at 12 midnight? Seems to me that the parents should be held responsible for the childs safety to not have her in the park afterhours...
SCC you are spot on. Unless and until there is some sea change in the parenting of children the unraveling of our civilization will continue. The Jesuits used to say gives us the child for seven years and we'll show you the man. The problem we have in Chicago and elsewhere in our welfare state is that children receive no training in morals or self disciplione for the first years of their lives.
By the time these kids get to school they are already steeped in the lifestyle of the ghetto and are completely lacking familiarity with the mores of a civilized society. In most cases it is already too late by the time they start school to reverse the damage done by the total lack of parenting. The cycle will continue because they will breed at the earliest opportunity and will have no parenting skills or ability to civilize and socialize their own children.
This is a problem that is not easily solved and will take generations to reverse if it can be done at all. Right now the savages are winning and will eventually outnumber the civilized due to their prolific breeding habits.

Watched an interesting "Chicago Tonight" last night where PO Ron Holt, now head of CAPS, was talking to Carol Marin along with Ald Fredreanna Lyle and a guy in his pajamas, Dr Carl Bell, a professor from UIC, about street violence and gangs.
Holt referred to an "uncivilized" 1 or 2 or 3 percent of the black community that is an "unsalvageable segment" of the community at large.
He must be talking about the absolute, hardcore gang bangers, because I would estimate that percentage to be MUCH higher, at least the uncivilized segment.

It seems odd to me that in a country where you have to obtain a license to drive a car, catch a fish, cut hair, or do somebody's nails that any two morons who can figure out sex can make more people.

That child be holdin the package fo mama ! Can't lock up a 1yr old for PCS ! Beside that they be startin a fund So the child can get a college "edjumacation" and can control they own operation someday.
Does merely having the ability to speak and walk upright qualify one as "human?"
I just love how our actions are criticized everyday on the news but a civilian can act stupid and ignorant to the point a baby is shot. Why isn't the media attacking or second guessing the mom or baby daddy? WHATEVER

Wouldn't it be dreamy if there was some form of required Kool-Aid against all of it and they began "matriculatin' the ball down field" to Stanford, Harvard, et al, instead of DOC? Well, if people didn't have strollers in the City of Chicago then the baby wouldn't have been sitting in it and therefore not shot!! And if there were no clocks or a concept of time then the baby wouldn't have been out there after midnight..I'm getting their logic now...Wow , I see pretty colors ..MORE PUNCH PLEASE MR MAYO!!!

My question... are there any curfews regarding parks or are they open to the public 24/7 ? Isn't there a law on the books in regard to inciting to riot that could be applied when three or more people are gathered and violence breaks out? Lock all their asses up and stop the congreating.
Like I said last week-only going to get worse. And unfortunately it did. Officer killed, society still going downward. Judges still letting the idiots off with"double probation" and other assorted crap. Except for hiring 100 cops. You will see them in a year or so. Meanwhile over 100 will retire. Its a start.....but its got a long way to go.

It's as though the concepts of "baby sitter," "bedtime," and "school night" never made it through the translation in 025. Every night, when the many "banquet halls" let out at 3 AM, I see dead-to-the-world, unconscious little kids being slung into the family's custom Hummer for the trip home. I think of it as "festive child abuse."
How that kid is going to learn X from Y the next day when he's asleep at his desk is anyone's guess...

James Meeks Goes Off On July 4th Sermon
Did anyone see Meeks' July 4th Telecast on WJYS 62.1 & 62.4?
Meeks lectured congregants on immorality, non-marital sex, improper clothes, respecting authority, saying no to children, removal of God from public schools, restoration of corporal punishment in public schools, 52 murders over the weekend and how it's their (Blacks, not Whites) fault that there are three fireworks celebrations.
It definitely wasn't a typical Meeks' Sermon!
