Reward Rises

And it's going to take a reward seeing as how the "subjects of interest" were released earlier today:
  • Hoping for any clue or connection to Chicago Police Officer Michael Bailey's killer, roughly two dozen Chicago Police Department employees and volunteers spent Saturday distributing reward fliers near the slain officer's Park Manor home.

Bailey was shot to death July 18 as he returned from guarding Mayor Richard Daley's home, making him the third Chicago police officer to be killed in two months.

The reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of Bailey's killer was raised Saturday from $70,000 to $100,000, after the FBI contributed the extra money--on top of $20,000 the agency had already pledged, officials said.

While several people have been questioned by police, police said no one was in custody one week after Bailey's slaying.

Keep plugging away detectives. Someone is bound to crack eventually.

There's never been a one of 'em could keep his mouth shut for long. Not in this group, not in this day and age. Gotta get that "street cred."

Before L & L and their lawyer filth ilk, we would have already cleard this case. Who in their right mind is going to risk anything with the lawyers running this county in favor of lining their pockets with citizen cash.

...And just to show how the powers that be are not only full of shit but in collusion with the media, we figured that the blaring headlines "Arrests Made In Officer's Slaying" were indicative that the powers that be didn't really have anything but shit in one hand and a wish in the other.

Note that everyone was RWOC.

Note that this information was curiously released to coincide with Officer Bailey's funeral.

Daley Inc. Media spin.

We say again that shortshanks and franken-fed put the current state of affairs in motion to destroy CPD then reduce it to a shell of it's former self in regard to manpower, esprit de corp, morale, hard earned experience and institutional knowledge in regard to handling the streets and more mundane day to day operations.

They were willing to accept increased violence, increased assaults on the Police and the feeling among the upright tax payers that the city is unsafe in order to achieve their goal.

The problem is they NEVER ANTICIPATED the wheels coming off so spectacularly.

The Police OVERWHELMINGLY went into survival mode. What rational and clear thinking human being wouldn't given the current state of affairs?

See to each other and stay safe.

For a police officer, you must be out of your mind.
Don't forget, Da Pres is the reason you will fill out traffic study cards for the rest of your career.

And how come EVERY officer working Safe City, etc isn't being deployed to Mikes old area to lean on all the stand-up jerk citizens infesting this area.
Then add in the CAPS idiots who parade for the TV cameras, earning OT on their RDO.
Fuck you all,CAPS doesn't work and neither do you.

RIP Mike

I wonder how much of this came from Maor Daley and The City of Chicago. There should be a reward system in place exactly for this. The city should have posted an immediate $100,000.00 the rest added on would be gravy.

Hmm, missing from the list is any of the myriad of the Mayors "guys" who have made many many millions of profit over the years, wetting their beaks at the public trough. You would figure a prominent city contractor like Walsh, Reyes, Mike Tadin, etc... would donate a small sum, in thanks to the CPD for protecting the city that they fleece everytime a contract is awarded.

The reward isn't going to loosen any lips...it will take the precise, intelligent interrogation by a skilled investigator (NOT necessarily a detective, could be a great tact guy or a PO assigned to a gang team) to question an arrestee who is sooooo caught up in bullshit that he will HAVE to give up the homies who committed this heinous crime. Watch and see...but of course, WEISel/Masters (X3) or Peterson will appear on tv and 'explain how they got it done' when it happens
(Masters will only stand beside the Supt. during that press conference when it happens, as everyone knows he has no credentials to solve ANY CRIME in this Dept.).

Let's not forget the off duty killings of Jose Vazquez and Bob Soto. Both cases are still open.

I wonder what the chances are of any of these guys they questioned and then released actually having some direct involvement in the murder.
