Choose Your Side

OK, so who has the better case?

Lieutenant John Andrews, who writes an essay, signs his name to it, gets administratively served with charges in an attempt to shut him up, declines to play that game and goes on to wage an all out media blitz to support his own rights to Free Speech in a quixotic attempt to bring some dignity back to this job....

Or J-Fled, who goes on a radio show that usually gauges which way the political winds are blowing before taking a stand on something as simple as supporting Freedom of Speech regardless of who is saying it, and who refuses to take even a single phone call in case a member of the Policy Group can't get in to slobber about what a great job J-Fled is doing?

You know, the way J-Fled and his sack washers are fighting to stifle dissent in the Department really makes us wonder how badly they are fudging the crime numbers. You'd think the smart play would be to ignore the lieutenant and tout the crime "reduction" that is supposedly going on. We're getting mixed messages here.

Shouldn't J-Fled be charged with bringing discredit upon the department?
1. He has been caught outright lying several times.
a. he'll never wear the uniform
b. If the majority of the rank and file officer want him out he'll quit
c. He has out backs

2. He RAN AWAY FROM SHOTS FIRED!

3. He openly endorsed Barak Hussein on t.v.....that alone is reason enough

My questions are these:

1) How many people would have really read/seen/heard/known about the article had not been made such a stink over. So really who is to blame for the discredit to the department. The man who wrote the article (ironically - reiterating what was already printed or said elsewhere) or the people/person's who brought attention to it??? I say the latter.

Second - if this man is going to be charged with rule violations are those that had far more serious transgressions going to be made accountable as well (we all know who/what/where just want to know the when!!)? Definitely not!

Thirdly - It was no secret Weis received a no confidence vote very early on in his career with the Chicago Police Department - what did Lt Andrews type in his submission that was more severe than a no confidence vote??? And it was reported in the news in May 2009 (http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2009/03/jody-weis-vote-fraternal-order-of-police.html)? Nothing in the Lts' article is more insulting than what was already published and reported.

Best of Luck in the resolution of this ordeal.

Once again, two sets of rules.

Further argument to his by-line. The corrupt are untouchable, while he is going to be held to a higher standard than those in higher positions were not held to.

TO the guillotine with him, while the remaining can sit, and point fingers, and be "publicly" outraged, while sitting upon their pedestals.

IRONIC, don't cha think??

Hello out their/there fellow gang and tactical warriors!!!!!

Speaking of numbers, by my calculations we are at 51 homicides this month compared to August of 2009 which had a total of 51 murders......that means we are tied from last year's August!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, we still have a few days to go, (plus a hot weekend) so hopefully EB will release another pompous memo to our commanders to encourage them to grab the GAYLORD demon by the throat and make the rest of this month homicide free!

I can see the memo now, going something like this:

"Too all top personnal,

Please be extra aware and vigilante these upcoming days an week end as school is back in session and parties will be springing up in our high crime areas. Please consult your e-male that shows purple little dots that marck the high crime areas in each respective district. A big puss colored dot marcks the aldermans house. Encourage tactical teams to not just do DOPW arrests or one dime bag busts. Any gangsta house parties are to be raided regardless of warrant and all stereo equipment inventoried and rap records burned. If da troops are sent to callback later they will still recieve an honorable mention.

When you come in wednesday morning you can hold your head up sorta high, knowing your district played a part in keeping this months August dead even with last years. To congratulat yo self, have a shot of Apple Pucker then do the "Ickey Sahuffle," along with the "roger Rabbit" dance in front of the troops at roll call. I apologse in advance for grammaterical errors but my 3 hour work day is abourt up and its vtime to go home. No time for spell check."

There/their you have it, brass lucky enough to read this post. Be prepared for war this weekend. Until next time, take care out there/their fellow tactical warriors!!!

I listened for a bit to the interview on the Roe Conn show. J Fled had a bunch of pre-canned bullshit answers, as expected. Towards the end of the interview, Conn was trying to get in one last question and said "Superintendent, I know you gotta run but....." GOTTA RUN?!?!?!? I don't know if it was intentional or not but still plenty funny.

Don't worry not a cop, this goof of a mayor will scour the earth looking for a new Superintendent who is far wose for the troops than J-Fled. If that's possible.

UTW has a great idea. Let's get Steve Dahl to be the commander of the "Illegal house party" unit. According to mayor Daley, "he's real good with those records". Best promotion since carothers.

Ah....IAD will recommend what for a Lt of Police exercising his Off Duty right as a real American citizen to write a fine piece of thought provoking and yes critical review of our sinking Chicago policing administration in response to the needless deaths of our uniformed officers trying to maintain order; in the midst of endless chaos from the alderpersons, reverends, and mind- numbing political appointed exempt ranks, from which no leaders emerge

Lets see....Special Events Lt Gross gets a reprimand for forcing those under him to take one lonely prisoner,( while representing us out of state, but uniformed and on duty)and making this handcuffed young man knee in the street for a souvenir photo that goes viral nationwide. So I guess Lt. Andrews beef should be unfounded, and he takes over the retiring Keating spot or something higher than the village idiot Gross.
