Parking Ticket Excuse

As a wag pointed out in the comment sections, here's a built-in excuse for contesting tickets written by the Revenue Department. After all, who would know more about what city departments are tasked with enforcing various rules, regulations, policies, procedures, etc., than Shortshanks?

Parking and Personal issue Citations are all about money/revenue. Just try writing a mover under a State charge when there is a City violation for the same violation. The State gets the $$ upon conviction.

Now I have an excuse for not writing parkers, if asked.
This is done just about every year (revenue sending out a memo to CPD) about "best" and "worst" districts when it comes to ticket writing, spoiled tickets, etc.
Daley feigns his outrage and his lap dog Bea Reyna-Hickey gets a one day suspension. Political theater at it's finest!
If a vehicle bears an Obama/Biden sticker and is parked illegally then I immediately write a citation!
In all probability they are tax eaters and not tax payers.
Years ago I used to write several thousand tickets a year. But some bosses in 025 would get mad when I wrote their chinamen tickets. Once I was thrown into lockup for a few weeks as punishment by a DC.

The other day at roll call they started talking about tickets and how we should look in alleys for cars parked illegal and write them. For the past few days they have been assigning cars to "ALLEY" missions to write tickets. I heard word that it came from the deputy. They are saying it is to check out suspicious cars in the alley and quality of life; however, when they talk about it they emphasize that we should be writing parking tickets during the mission.
THERE ARE JAGOFFS OUT THERE WRITING PARKERS TO HANDICAPPED.

Now, for the first time in recent history, Shortshanks trusts The Police instead of viewing them as an armed liabilty on wheels ? Im not buying into this.
Being in Englewood were too busy with b.s. we barely get a chance to use the restroom on a hot night in the summer. Hey how many has J-Fled wrote. HMMMMMMMMMMMM let me guess he missed that part as part of his recruit training.

This reminds me of the "sleeping at the 911 console" media fiasco of 18 years ago: Commander sadler got dumped ............to commander of personnel. some punishment that was. Pol-Theatrics!

How many are really handicapped? Just get a doctor's note and you'll get a tag. Lots of fakers out there.

Do the work and you can get a Charge on them for mis-use of the HCP placard.
Run the placard number through SOS and then you can seize it, charge them with a 500 fine, and a Misdemeanor.
If you worked for a living.
The handicapped tag is for handicapped spots, not tow zones, bus stops, or fireplugs.
I saw Parking enforcement people out writing tickets in the 003rd District last night after 2300 hrs. WTF? Is the Shitty that desperate for revenue that they would have people out there in the middle of the night walking around in residential areas to hammer sleeping residents? The Mayor and the co. he sold out to that hires their own ticket writers are truly a pathetic pair.
I just hope they don't have to call for help in the middle of the night if they run into irate car owners. I'll respond, but there will be no usage of emergency lights, and no rushing through red lights to get there from ME.
